"Nothing!" they both spoke in unison with anxious looking faces as they looked anywhere else but Yanzhi’s face.

"Hm.." Seeing them being jumpy all of a sudden, he hummed and decided not to ask them anymore.

"Yue, Liu..call forth everyone to the training grounds, including the old couple....hmmm call out Tan Fan too, but the rest of the people with him should stay behind, they are not needed for now." he instructed.

"Yes, master."

As if being released from severe interrogation, they cupped respectfully and excused themselves looking like they were eager to leave Yanzhi’s premises. Looking at their embarrassed departing figures, a faint smile appeared on his once serious face. Opening the portal of his space he brought out the red fox, the chipmunk family of seven and the little Kunlun snake from his space.

As soon as the little animals were brought out, the fox barked along with the squeaking of mother chipmunk and father chipmunk, with the continuos hissing of the little snake. Yanzhi frowned at once and glared at the noisy little things,

"Shut up!" he sternly warned.

They went mute and became very honest, his voice sounded very icy making them feel chills run down their spines.

"Here as promised, your rewards for looking after the fox. Spirit stones, pills and things to aid in your cultivation." he threw three space storage bags as he said.

The little snake was the first to slither to the storage bag that was thrown to him before mother chipmunk and father chipmunk went for theirs.

"I put in double of what I put into theirs, and also two spiritual lotus seeds, with that this Deity no longer owes you anything." Yanzhi said to the little snake who nodded joyfully.

"I know! Put me back into that place with very rich spiritual energy, if I cultivate there I will advance faster!" the little snake flattered.

"No!" Yanzhi rejected flatly without a second thought. "Master!" the little snake flattered more as it slithered to him and coiled around his hand.

"Isn’t that the reason why you brought me along?" it asked in shock.

Hearing Yanzhi’s flat rejection it slumped it’s head down looking lifeless.

Yanzhi eyed it from the corners of his eyes and then said. "If you listen to all my interactions I might consider accepting you...."

The little snake raised it’s head at once hearing that, it’s eyes sparkling like stars. "Including you too." Yanzhi added, implying to the chipmunks.

"What should we do in order to be accepted?" father chipmunk asked looking ready to take action.

"Don’t disturb little wife and me and go find somewhere quiet to cultivate honestly, although the spiritual energy here is incomparable to that of my space, but nowhere on this space’s spiritual energy parallel to the spiritual energy here." he started calmly.

"Master is right about that!" the little snake hissed and stopped it’s movements as it flicked it’s forked tongue tasting the air.

"En." Yanzhi hummed absent minded, his fingers on his forehead as he pulled out string of lights and sent them to the little animals. Like a halo of light it engulfed them whole and subsided soon.

"With this you’re connected to me, you can freely roam the premises of the mountain. But be warned not to wander deeper as the beasts here are far stronger than that of any mountain’s" he warned.

"Then wouldn’t it be bad if they wander in here?" mother chipmunk asked as she pulled in her cubs closer for protection.

"They dare! Just as the humans can’t wander in without my permission, it’s the same for the beasts. Now stop dawdling about and find somewhere quiet to go into seclusion, for I will personally assess you when you came out, anyone who slacks won’t receive any cultivation resource from me in the future!"

"Yes master!"

"Leave the cubs here, they’re too young to cultivate relying on resources, I will teach teach them myself. as well qs open their spiritual sense for them, so they will be fine here." Yanzhi stopped the chipmunks who turned and were about to go.

Without any burden they thanked happily and ditched the cubs as they ran off.

After you’re all healed we’ll discuss what to do with you." after dealing with the little snake and the chipmunks, he turned to the fox.

"I thank your excellency for the gift." she said and picked up the storage bag with her mouth before also running off with her tail dangling about behind her.
