The man reached up and grabbed a bronze wine cup placed on the top shelf, twisting it to the left. A moment later, as if part of a machine, the antique shelf itself began to move forward like a door opening in a fan shape, shifting a foot away from the wall.

He then walked over to the bookcase next to a wall vase and pressed it. A creaking, grating noise ensued, and the place that had just been vacated by the antique shelf slowly sank downwards, revealing a dark, gloomy hole.

With the light from the room’s lamp, a long staircase leading down to an unknown destination was visible.

Cai Wei asked, "Where does this tunnel lead to?"

So, Duke Li Guo’s Mansion also had a tunnel leading directly to the suburbs, no wonder they were not panicking despite being surrounded!

Mo Ziqi stepped forward, confidently took Fei’er by the hand, and said, "I’ll lead you down."

Cai Wei hesitated for a moment, standing at the entrance of the tunnel, and said, "Young Master Mo, given the urgent situation, please take Fei’er back. I still have some matters to attend to."

With those words, Mo Ziqi’s figure disappeared into the entrance of the tunnel, and the tunnel entrance returned to its original state, with the mechanical antique shelf also returning to its original position on its own.

Cai Wei watched the mechanism reset and then turned to leave.
