The assassin had just severed Cai Wei’s weapon and immediately swung his sword, chopping towards Cai Wei’s head.

Nangong Yi’s heart was racing with alarm. With an angry roar, he threw his treasured sword with the might of moving mountains. Under the influence of his martial arts skills, the treasured sword flashed brilliantly as it flew and pierced straight through the heart of the assassin trying to kill Cai Wei.

The assassin, pierced by the treasured sword, slumped to the ground at Cai Wei’s feet.

Cai Wei was shocked. "Nangong Yi, you’ve thrown your sword away, what will you use to fight the enemies? Don’t you care about your life?"

Nangong Yi had cast aside all concerns. When he saw the assassin bring his sword down on Cai Wei, he almost went mad, instinctively shooting his treasured sword from his hand. He didn’t care about losing his weapon; as long as she was fine, that was all that mattered.

A faint smile played on Nangong Yi’s face: "Silly girl, I know you care about me, but if your man can’t even handle a few assassins, I would have been killed by Jin Guifei long ago. Rest assured, these guys are somewhat skilled, but they can’t kill me. Step back, and wait for me to deal with them before I come find you."

As the man spoke, he raised his sword to block an incoming assassin, while turning his head to shout, "Step back!"

No sooner had he spoken when his treasured sword had already ’pop’ pierced through the assassin’s heart, spattering warm blood that nearly splashed onto Cai Wei. Then she understood why the man wanted her to step back.

Inside, the assassins were probably breaking down. A whole group had come out to kill two people but not only had they failed to kill them, they ended up as props in a display of affection—that was a major blow to their pride!

Two hundred assassins lay on the ground within less than one hour. Some were mauled by the tiger; some were stabbed by Nangong Yi’s sword; others were shot by Cai Wei’s guns; and the most miserable ones were those whose testicles were crushed by the Monkey Chang Mei, a humiliation more painful than being torn apart by the Giant Tiger, which made the assassins wish they could die from embarrassment!

Cai Wei stood by Nangong Yi’s side and said coldly, "Although you came to take our lives, in accordance with the mercy of heaven, we will spare you this time. We’ll leave you alive to tell Jin Guifei that too much injustice will certainly bring self-destruction. She has done too much evil and it’s time she faced retribution. Tell her to clean herself and wait!"

The assassins staggered up and walked towards the outside of the manor, and some chose to commit suicide on the spot. As Secret Guards and assassins who failed their mission, there was no reason left for them to live. Even those who feared death and managed to return alive, they knew that nothing good awaited them!
