Cai Wei walked forward to greet him, and with a laugh, asked: "What brings you here?"

Gou Dan’er said, "I was accompanying grandpa for his acupuncture session in the medical center. I saw someone who looked like big sister from afar. I ran out to see, and it really is big sister indeed!"

Cai Wei lightly rubbed his small nose, laughing as she asked, "What do you need from big sister? Have you had breakfast?"

"I missed big sister, and yes, I ate breakfast on time!"

The young boy contentedly said, "Thanks to the silver coins given by big sister, grandpa and I can now have our fill daily."

Finishing his sentence, he turned around and pointed towards the little girl sitting on the medical center’s front steps, and whispered: "I even bought a piece of osmanthus cake for Xi Niu!"

"What is she doing there? Is she craving for some dim sum?"

"Xi Niu’s mother works at the dim sum shop, she’s waiting for her mother outside."

Cai Wei sighed, "Why didn’t Xi Niu wait for her mother inside the shop? It’s not safe for a young girl to sit alone outside. What if some ne’er-do-well whisks her away?"

Upon hearing this, Gou Dan’er pouted, a look of disgust surfacing on his little face, "The old pious woman who owns the dim sum shop suspects that Xi Niu could steal some dim sum, and forbids her from entering. Even Xi Niu’s mother is subject to a body search every evening when her shift ends!"

Cai Wei said, "Wait a few days, big sister intends to buy a big manor in the suburbs. You should go ask Xi Niu and her mother, if they’d like to join big sister there. If they are willing to work at the manor, they can be together all day, rather than being separately placed."
