Before she could react, a hand, strong as a pair of iron pincers closed around her delicate neck with thunderous speed.

His hand was rough and hard as a clamp. Her slender neck in his grip was like a tender flower bud, ready to be snapped at his leisure.

Cai Wei hadn’t expected him to move so quickly. In the blink of an eye, he had easily overpowered her, a fact she found, infuriating and unacceptable.

Anger blazing in her eyes, she glared back at him. Her clear eyes were wide open, brimming with indignation and resentment. Her moist lips bore the distinct mark of her clenched teeth. She looked like she could snap at him at any moment, showing none of the fear one might expect from someone whose fate was in another’s hands.

The two glared fiercely at each other for a moment. Spotting the furious pout on Cai Wei’s face, Saknu suddenly burst out laughing. This little woman, daring enough to challenge him, met his wolfish gaze without a shred of fear. It was all too entertaining.

"Hahaha, you’re brave. I like that!"

He laughed heartily, releasing his grip on Cai Wei.

Instantly free, Cai Wei retreated a few steps, and asked loudly, "What does a savage like you want with me?"

Scratching his chin, Saknu replied matter of factly, "Naturally, I want you to be my woman!"

"Suppose I refuse?" Cai Wei asked, gritting her teeth.

Saknu broke into a rogueish, rascally grin.

"Girl, that won’t be up to you!"

Cai Wei nodded, a cold smile dancing on her lips, "Good! Initially, I had no intention to kill, out of respect for divine grace and mercy. But it seems, I’ve been too soft-hearted."

With that, she flung a handful of confusion powder at him.

Against a brutal alien beast like Saknu, Cai Wei planned to knock him out with the drug, then disorient him while he was unconscious, leaving him paralyzed, unable to take care of himself for the rest of his life. Then she would watch him suffer and regret his actions while he lingered between life and death.

But bizarrely, even after being hit with so much confusion powder, Saknu appeared unharmed; it seemed like it hadn’t affected him at all. He calmly wiped off the powder from his face, a grim smile creeping upon his lips, "I did tell you, you can’t beat me."

He continued, stepping towards Cai Wei, a chilling smile on his face.

Alarmed, Cai Wei retreated. Seizing an opportunity, she speedily launched a punch towards his chest.

"Thud—"

Her fist landed on his chest with a satisfying thud. Saknu did not even try to dodge. He took the punch head-on.

Cai Wei looked up in surprise, unable to believe what she was seeing.

The man wasn’t injured or retreating, floored in agony, or even grunting in pain, like she had anticipated. He hadn’t even moved an inch. Instead, he stood there, stock-still, a malevolent grin on his face, looking rather triumphant.

"Your strength is minimal, barely compares to a suckling lamb."

He sneered, his large hand suddenly grabbing her arm. With a gentle tug, Cai Wei stumbled and fell towards him.

His strength was astonishing, which was why he was renowned as King Kong of the Liaodan Kingdom. Cai Wei had exhausted all her strength trying to resist him earlier. Still, with just one hand, he had managed to pull her easily towards him. Wholly defeated by this power mismatch, Cai Wei felt humiliated.

Fighting with him was clearly a lost cause; even using the confusion powder had turned futile. It seemed that today, only the Divine Spatial Beast could help her escape unscathed!

Gritting her teeth, she mentally summoned Brother Ying.

Hearing that Cai Wei was being bullied, Brother Ying was livid, flying out in a burst of anger. With a pair of razor-sharp claws extended, he intended to scratch the man towering across his master, leaving him in excruciating pain!
