Chapter 192: Chapter 192 Gun (2)_1
As it turns out, he was after her blueprints all along. Deliberately making such moves to mislead her and cause her embarrassment.
"Wei’er, are you worried I might do something outrageous?"
The man’s eyes teased the blushing girl as he looked at her with a smile.
Cai Wei bit her lip, feeling a mix of embarrassment and anger. She glared at his wound, her clenched fists ready to strike.
Seeing her genuinely upset, Nangong Yi stopped teasing and rather turned his attention to the blueprints.
The three pieces of paper drawn by the little girl were filled with strange objects of various shapes and sizes. Under each object were specific details about its size, thickness, and the materials to be used. Everything was clearly illustrated, easy to understand.
"What are these?"
His brows furrowed, feeling somewhat perplexed.
In the world, there were very few things he didn’t recognize, but none of the many items she drew looked familiar to him.
"They are guns."
Cai Wei explained simply.
"Guns?"
Nangong Yi was puzzled. The gun the little girl had drawn was nothing like the ones he knew. It had no sharp edge or blade, how was it supposed to hurt someone?
Seeing his confusion, Cai Wei elaborated.
"Uh, it’s a...magic weapon to deal with that old demon, Tianjizi."
She had no option but to refer to the most common weapon in the modern military field as a magic weapon, which was surely better than explaining the origin of guns to him!
Nangong Yi nodded understandingly, "This must have been something you’ve learned on Fu You Island, right?"
Cai Wei made a wry face, replied, "Uh..."
But still, Nangong Yi was puzzled. He studied the blueprints in his hand, wondering: "Wei’er, your gun has no sharp tip, no blade, not even a pole. How can it be called a gun? How does it hurt people?"
’You old relic from centuries ago wouldn’t understand modern high tech!’. Cai Wei despised him secretly, then sat down and drew a bullet. She labeled the bullet diagram with its size and material.
"My gun needs this thing called a ’bullet’ to bring out its full power."
Nangong Yi looked at the bullet she had drawn, then back at the several objects on the three sheets of paper. After pondering for a while, he seemed to understand, "So, these things are meant to be assembled together to make a larger object, right, Wei’er?"
Cai Wei laughed, "Exactly, you learn quickly."
Nangong Yi also laughed, tucked the blueprints into his robe, and said, "I have the best craftsmen. They can make these items exactly according to your blueprints."
"That would be ideal. My gun is a highly sophisticated martial...magic weapon. There’s no room for error," she replied.
Nangong Yi reassured, "Rest assured, I won’t let you down."
Cai Wei nodded, "Good."
After discussing the gun, Cai Wei questioned Nangong Yi about certain matters concerning Tianjizi. The old saying holds: know yourself as well as your enemy, and you will be invincible. Since she was going to confront Tianjizi, she needed to understand him first.
Upon learning from Nangong Yi’s description that Tianjizi was a scheming and murderous Demon Dao, Cai Wei was more determined to deal with him.
’Ignorant old fart, wait until he comes knocking on my door, I will use my advanced modern weapon to shoot him unconscious, leaving him half-paralyzed and unable to take care of himself in the second half of his life...’
The two chatted for a long while, and before they knew it, the fourth watch of the night came. Cai Wei had asked all her questions, but Nangong Yi showed no sign of leaving.
