Chapter 1259: Chapter 1265: Who is He (6)

"It’s too late now, if Nanny Xie had not died, I might consider your suggestion, but Nanny Xie is dead, everything is impossible now. I have no way to forgive you, let alone carry on with you as if nothing happened, we might as well part on good terms! If you think a divorce is disgraceful, I don’t mind if you repudiate me; just as long as I can be separated from you, whether it’s a mutual separation or you ending the marriage, the choice is yours."

After she had finished, Xiang Yun’s tone softened a bit and she said, "If there’s nothing else, you should leave. I’m going to have breakfast. As for the divorce document, you can have someone send it over once you’ve written it, or I can send someone to collect it, whichever you prefer!"

Having said this, she stood up and walked away, regardless of how Mo Zili reacted.

But she had only taken a few steps when her arm was seized. Xiang Yun struggled but couldn’t break free, so she turned her head and said to Mo Zili, "Let go, I’ve said everything that needs to be said, what more do you want? Can’t we just part amicably?"

"Part amiably? That was your own wishful thinking, I never agreed to it," Mo Zili said coldly, his grip on Xiang Yun’s hand tightening, as if afraid that if he loosened his grip, she would escape.

"Do you really want to have a falling out with me?" Xiang Yun looked at him with a mixture of shock and anger.

Seeing the resentment and estrangement in Xiang Yun’s eyes, Mo Zili’s heart felt as if it was being squeezed, but his expression remained indifferent as he looked down at her and said, "I’m not trying to create a rift; you are pushing things too far. I know I’ve wronged you in the past, but I’ve already apologized and promised to send Du Wanqing away, to be good to only you from now on. What more do you want from me? You’ve hit me, scolded me, vented all your anger, why do you still insist on holding onto this grudge? Just what do you want?"

Xiang Yun replied angrily, "It’s not me holding onto this, it’s you not letting go of me. I just want to live a peaceful life alone, why can’t you let go?"

Mo Zili let out a cold smile and said, "Let go? You think Duke Li Guo’s Mansion is some kind of place where you can come when you wish to marry and leave just as you please? Stop dreaming. The day you married me was the day you were left with no choice. Alive, you are my person; dead, you are my ghost. You will never have the chance to leave Duke Li Guo’s Mansion for as long as you live!"

After he spoke, he flung her aside onto the couch with a swish of his hand. Xiang Yun grunted as she propped herself up, only to see Mo Zili walking towards her, untying the jade belt at his waist as he moved.

"What... are you going to do?" Xiang Yun suddenly had an ominous feeling; on guard, she grabbed the jade pillow on the couch and held it in front of her for defense.

At this point, Mo Zili was on the verge of rage. He removed the jade belt from his waist and began to take off his robe, and said coldly in response to her question, "To do what husband and wife should do. Weren’t you complaining that I don’t touch you? I’m about to make it up to you now."

"No, I don’t need your compensation!" Xiang Yun said, shaking her head in fright, "I just want you to leave!"

At this moment, when she was still thinking about leaving him, Mo Zili felt both heartache and anger. He took off his robe, leaving only his white middle clothes, leaned down, and said as he drew near Xiang Yun, "I originally wanted to pamper and spoil you like a treasure to make up for the wounds in your heart, but you were determined to go against me, forcing a confrontation. Remember, you brought this upon yourself."

After saying this, he swept away the pillow that Xiang Yun had thrown at him, pinned her down on the couch, and then covered her.

"Cui Wen—Cui Lu—"

Xiang Yun couldn’t free herself and called out anxiously, hoping Cui Wen and Cui Lu would come to help her. But for some reason, Cui Wen and Cui Lu didn’t come. Mo Ziqi controlled both of her hands with one of his and began rudely to strip off her clothes with the other.

Xiang Yun was both furious and ashamed as she cried out in pain, "Mo Zili, I will hate you for the rest of my life!"

Mo Zili stiffened for a moment, then sneered with sarcasm, "Even if I didn’t do this, you wouldn’t like me. Why should I pity you?" With that, he lowered his head again and continued to tear at Xiang Yun’s clothes.
