Cai Wei led everyone to the section that sold men’s robes and started choosing clothes for her dad. She had high standards and good taste. She chose a low-profile lake blue silk-cotton robe with mink fur edges on the collar, sleeves, and robe edge, a pair of four-stitch black leather boots, a pair of white cotton socks; underwear, lingerie; all low-profile yet luxurious items. When it came time to pay, those items took up a large bundle.

Cai Wei handed the bundle to Zhang Bo, instructing him to take it back straight away. She knew that once her parents returned to the inn, her mother would first start preparing her father’s bath, and then while bathing, she would gently explain what had happened.

This is how a husband and wife should interact, creating a warm, beautiful atmosphere. Even if they’re discussing serious issues, they can still be relaxed and at ease.

In the Inn
