Chapter 109: Chapter 109 Steamed Seafood Update_1

Even though Nangong Yi knew that Cai Wei had no feelings for him, when he heard her referring to him as just a passerby in her life, he couldn’t help but feel a tightness in his chest, a sense of suffocation!

"Very good, you’re very capable!" He sneered, but it’s unclear whether he was referring to her business acumen or her ability to annoy him.

Cai Wei had no patience for his argument, she handed over the food she had brought back from the restaurant: "Time to eat. You must be hungry!"

He had been famished, lying in bed eagerly waiting for her to come back. But when she did come back, his hunger was replaced with anger!

"What is this? Can this even be eaten?" He glanced at the food she had brought back, intentionally making a scene.

Cai Wei simply ignored his comment and snorted coldly: "Eat it or starve, I don’t care!"

"Fine, very good!"

Nangong Yi nodded, "Don’t bother, I’ll go find something to eat myself!"

"You... you..."

Cai Wei collapsed, looking at the man who seemed intent on standing up to leave, she perplexedly asked, "Are you sure you want to go out like this?"

The unabashed man replied, "What’s wrong with that?"

As he spoke, he had already stood up. His brilliant warm jade bead luster dazzled her entirely. Massaging her forehead, she admitted defeat: "Fine, I was wrong. I will make you something else..."

Cai Wei, touching her forehead in agony, left the room.

Watching her slender retreating figure, Nangong Yi chuckled happily. Teasing her really was the most amusing thing in the world...

Cai Wei entered Wu’er’s room in a distressed manner, she waved her fist in the direction of the man, then dropped her arm weakly. Taking advantage of the empty house, she sneaked into the Space and started cooking for the damned man reluctantly.

There were plenty of ingredients in Space, she scooped out a few crabs the size of her fist, some fresh prawns, and several sea snails from Lingxi River. She imagined all of them as the man, cleaned them thoroughly, then ruthlessly threw them into the pot to steam.

While waiting for the seafood to steam, she took a petal bath in the hot spring - firstly to relieve her fatigue, and secondly to alleviate her anger.

Thanks to the dried flower baths she had been taking these past few days, as well as the daily consumption of beautifying fruits, her complexion had improved significantly. Her skin was no longer a sickly waxen yellow, but had transformed into a dazzling porcelain white. Amidst the pallor, there was a faint blush, which made her look extremely gorgeous! Her beautiful eyes became even more clear and bright, her small, heart-shaped mouth was attractive, as if coated with a gentle glow. It was so tempting that anyone would be tempted to take a bite.

Getting out of the hot spring, Cai Wei sat in front of the mirror and admired her own appearance. The more she looked at herself, the more beautiful she found herself. In her past life, the high appearance value of celebrities and models paled in comparison to her current beauty.

However, her expression changed when she looked further down.

She figured she was already thirteen. In a few days, after the New Year, she would turn fourteen. But her body showed no signs of development. Her chest was as flat as a washboard, and her buttocks had not begun to curve. Though her skin was as white as jade, a girl without any physical development was, at best, a cute little bun. She was far from being the nation-falling beauty she imagined herself to be. There was more than just a bit of a gap to close!

This isn’t right. Lack of development is a problem that needs to be addressed.

She stood up and went to the warehouse where the seeds were stored. She found the seeds of papaya, known for their breast-enhancing properties, intending to plant them. She believed that consuming frog spawns stewed with papaya daily would stimulate her body’s development.

While searching for seeds, she unexpectedly found several types of fruit seeds that she loved to eat in her past life, such as strawberries, mangosteens, durians, and mangoes. She took all of them, instructed Bai Mei to plant them, and looked forward to feasting on them once they bore fruit.

While she was busy, the seafood in the pot was ready. The enticing aroma of the freshly cooked seafood pervaded the room even from behind the pot lid.

Cai Wei lifted the pot lid and took out the bright red crabs, large prawns, and sea snails. She picked a big, fat female crab, broke it open, drizzled soy sauce, minced ginger, and garlic over it, and began eating heartily.

The seafood produced in Space was cleaner and tastier than those in the real world, and had a better texture. She ate two to three pieces before finally stopping.

In between mouthfuls, she sent Brother Ying to check on her mother and the others. She didn’t know where they had gone to and why they hadn’t returned after a whole day. It seemed like they had been caught up in their shopping spree.

It’s true that Lady Du had lost track of time. She had never had the opportunity to go shopping freely like she did now. In the past, because she was a concubine’s daughter, she was restricted at every turn and hardly dared to step out of the house. Even when she did venture out, she had to be extremely careful, not daring to take a single extra step or utter a single additional word, much less leisurely shop and stroll around. After getting married, her husband’s family was poor, and they were lucky to be able to afford meals every day, so there was no spare money for her to go shopping.

Now, her daughter’s business was booming, and they were earning nearly ten taels of silver every day. She no longer had to live penny to penny. She finally had the opportunity to stroll leisurely around the streets and generously buy things she liked!

Early in the morning, she took the children out. At the tailor shop, she had two sets of clothes made for each of her daughters with the fabric Cai Wei had brought back the day before. After that, she took the children around the streets, buying small items that the children liked. The streets were bustling with people. Vendors selling couplets and firecrackers could be found everywhere. With the Spring Festival approaching, there was a festive atmosphere everywhere.
