Having just meat skewers and fish and shrimp was not enough, some vegetables were needed to balance out the greasy taste. She picked a few eggplants from the field, dug out some sweet and white potatoes, washed them and cut them into thin slices, ready to be grilled on the strainer later.

Once everything was ready, she started grilling. Not long after, the fragrance of the meat skewers filled her space, making Brother Parrot’s beak drool, Chang Mei was scratching his head and cheeks while looking at the skewers, and even the usually composed Great Immortal Turtle couldn’t help but slowly crawl over and sniff around the stove.

Hearing the sound of Mother entering, Cai Wei hurried out, fearing that someone might bump into her room. She exchanged pleasantries with them and guided them straight to Mother’s large room, where she showed them all the rewards she got from the An mansion today.
