Chapter 774: Chapter 771: Tear His Body Apart
After the cake was all eaten, everyone got up to say their goodbyes and went home.
Old Master Gu went straight upstairs to his room to rest.
Song Wennuan and Lu Xiaofen helped Auntie Wu clean up the aftermath. When they were almost done, Lu Xiaofen washed her hands, came out of the kitchen, and said, "Guibao, it’s getting late. Let’s go home."
"Wait for me to finish this episode."
Helian Qiao was sitting on the sofa watching TV, engrossed in the show and not ready to leave.
Gu Tingyun took the opportunity to say, "Auntie Lu, there are still five days off for the National Day. Let Guibao stay here for a couple more days."
"Siyu is here playing for five days too, so let the three kids stay here and keep Old Master company," Song Wennuan chimed in.
Auntie Wu also said, "Exactly, it’s lively here with Guibao around."
"What do you think, Guibao?"
Lu Xiaofen naturally agreed, but still wanted to ask Guibao’s opinion.
During the National Day holiday, the school library’s study rooms were open, and she wanted to go there to read thoroughly.
But she wasn’t comfortable leaving Guibao alone at home, fearing she might, like before, get so engrossed in her books that she’d forget the time.
If Guibao stayed with the Gu Family, she would be at ease.
"Stay here."
Without even thinking, Helian Qiao replied, her attention fixed on the television.
They were currently showing the animated version of ’Journey to the West’, the scene where they fight the White Bone Demon.
"Hahaha! This monk is so silly! Fooled by a few bones!" The Little Princess laughed gleefully. Hearing this laughter, Lu Xiaofen and Song Wennuan couldn’t help but smile too.
Guibao’s laughter was highly contagious.
"I should head back then," Lu Xiaofen didn’t want to interrupt her TV watching, said goodbye to Song Wennuan and Auntie Wu and then turned to ride her bicycle out of the courtyard.
"Siyu, Tingyun, Guibao, we’re leaving now," Gu Qingyun and his wife greeted the three of them.
Only Gu Tingyun turned his head to nod, "Uncle, Aunt, take care."
The two girls were captivated by the show and could only mutter "mm-hmm" in response.
"Don’t watch for too long. Remember to take a nap," Song Wennuan reminded them before leaving the Gu Household with Gu Qingyun.
Auntie Wu cut up two plates of fruit and placed them on the coffee table before also retiring to her room to rest.
After another episode, Helian Qiao yawned, got up from the sofa on her own accord and said, "I’m sleepy. I’m going to sleep."
"Siyu, you should sleep early too," said Gu Tingyun as he followed Guibao up the stairs.
Gu Siyu sitting alone in the living room found it boring to watch TV, so she turned off the television and went upstairs to sleep too.

After the National Day holiday, the students resumed their regular classes.
After the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, Gu Tingyun was about to head back to the classroom with Guibao when a familiar voice suddenly came from the side.
"Tingyun."
Both of them stopped and looked toward the voice; it was Gu Yan!
The Little Princess couldn’t help but scrunch up her nose, looking at him with some disdain.
After several days of not seeing him, the number of animal spirits following Gu Yan had increased by one large black dog.
The big black dog had all four legs broken and a hole in its forehead; it could only crawl on the ground, trailing behind Gu Yan.
Furthermore, there were already small animals perched on him, tearing at his body, yet Gu Yan remained completely oblivious.
"What’s up?"
Gu Tingyun looked at him with an indifferent expression as he was being torn at, without the slightest intention to remind him based on their blood relationship.
Gu Yan had a faint smile on his face, "Oh, nothing. I just transferred to No.1 Middle School. Since you are the few people I know here, I thought I’d come over and say hello."
Ever since learning that Gu Tingyun attended No. 1 Middle School, other relatives of the Gu family also wanted to get their children transferred there.
