He was afraid she’d consider answering to be a hassle and, like before, would only write the answers without showing her work.

While that might be fine while practicing questions, it could lead to points being deducted in a competition.

Helian Qiao pouted, reluctantly agreeing, "Fine."

Writing out the full process for the latter questions was indeed very tedious.

Seeing her comply even though she wasn’t happy about it made Gu Tingyun smirk. "If you get done early, you can wait outside and play games until I come to get you. I would leave my bag under a desk outside the examination hall."

"Okay, okay, I got it. You talk too much," Helian Qiao responded, her little baby-like voice revealing a hint of annoyance.

That my-amnesia-afflicted-big-bad-dragon was annoyingly talkative.

Being criticized upset Mr. Gu too, he reached out and affectionately ruffled her hair, "be good."

This caused Little Princess to become genuinely mad, she puffed up her cheeks and warned him fiercely, "Gu Tingyun, don’t touch my hair, being constantly patted on the head hinders growth."

She was determined to surpass the annoying big dragon in height!

He watched Guibao carrying her things and walking into the examination hall before heading off to find his own.

The examination hall was almost full, and as soon as Helian Qiao entered, her delicate and charming face attracted a lot of attention.

But the attendees were all bright students, so they just glanced at her before returning to their question papers, intent on studying and practicing.

Some were also muttering formulas under their breath.

The atmosphere in the classroom was extremely tense, with everyone doing their absolute best to prepare for the competition.

After Helian Qiao found her seat and sat down, she took a look around and seeing everybody engrossed in their studies, she yawned nonchalantly.

She didn’t like nerds!

Although Gu Tingyun also liked to read, he was far from boring. He was always ready to play with her, which made him much more entertaining than these people!

Little Princess decided to just lie her head down on the desk and catch up on some sleep.

Because they had gotten up so early to find the examination hall at Capital University, she was feeling very sleepy - she needed more sleep as a teenager after all!

About ten minutes later, several invigilators entered the room.

If Helian Qiao were awake, she would’ve recognized that one of them was the handsome man who had shared his roast pork knuckles with her on the train.

The handsome man spotted Guibao immediately. After all, in the whole classroom, she was the only one sleeping, and her skin was so fair it seemed to glow, it was hard not to notice her!

The bell rang, indicating the beginning of the competition!

"Alright, everyone please put away all competition-related materials, including your bags, and bring them up to the podium!" one of the female teachers standing at the podium announced.

Everybody immediately started to pack up their things, with some still flipping through their books while doing so, frantically trying to solidify their memory in the last few moments.

The handsome man, standing by the entrance of the classroom, noticed that Helian Qiao was still asleep even though the bell had rung. He walked over to wake her up.

She couldn’t be delayed and miss the competition.

Just as he reached her desk and was about to speak, Helian Qiao opened her eyes.
