Chapter 351: Chapter 193 Cold War

"I need to ask you something."

Fu Yang walked over and dragged a chair to sit by the bed, giving Fu Siyu’s phone a fleeting glance.

"Speak."

Fu Siyu turned off his phone and looked at Fu Yang.

"Who is my mom?" Fu Yang’s eyes were intense. "Don’t tell me I really popped out of a rock."

This question, Fu Yang had often asked it when he was very young.

Because, whether it was his playmates or the kindergarten friends, they all had mothers, except for him.

At that time, Fu Siyu’s answer was that he would tell him when he grew up.

Later, Fu Siyu went abroad, and Fu Yang gradually grew up. This topic became a taboo that neither would touch by unspoken consent.

Now, however, Fu Yang had brought it up again, staring directly at Fu Siyu with the relentless directness of youth, as if he would not back down unless Fu Siyu answered.

Fu Siyu’s gaze shifted slightly. "I don’t know."

Fu Yang scoffed, "You don’t know now? What about when you got her pregnant?"

Fu Siyu’s eyes narrowed slightly. "I really don’t know who she is."

"If you don’t want to say, then don’t," Fu Yang looked displeased sure that Fu Siyu was deliberately hiding it. "A man as irresponsible as you, Shu Wan would never like you."

Fu Siyu’s expression darkened. "I’ve indulged you too much recently."

"Indeed, you indulge me so much," Fu Yang stood up abruptly, livid, "Your indulgence is never telling me who my birth mother is, leaving me at five to go abroad by yourself. Pretentious, cold, and heartless—who could surpass you, Fu Siyu!"

"I—"

"What? The business prodigy Mr. Fu thinking of another reason to persuade me?" Fu Yang looked at Fu Siyu with derision. "I’m not your business partner. Save those grand speeches for yourself."

With that, Fu Yang turned and left.

A cold breeze entered through the wide-open door, brushing against Fu Siyu’s hair as he lowered his eyes, lost in thought.

The next morning, Shu Wan noticed that the relationship between Fu Siyu and Fu Yang had clearly grown icier.

Fu Yang did join them at the table for a meal, but he treated Fu Siyu like he wasn’t there, making Shu Wan feel the chill sitting beside them.

But as this was a matter between father and son, Shu Wan kept out of it, pretending not to notice anything, quietly finished her meal, and then went off to film.

"I’m done eating. I have to go; you can take Fu Yang to school later."

Shu Wan spoke to Fu Siyu.

"Alright."

On her way to the set, Shu Wan checked her phone and saw countless fans commenting about unfollowing on her social media.

That fervent male fan had turned into a hater, publicly calling her out on the platform, questioning if she was fair to her fans.

Wang Tian had predicted that with Shu Wan’s temperament, she definitely wouldn’t keep silent about this male fan. So he sent her a message early in the morning, urging her to stay calm and not to respond publicly as it could be manipulated by those with ulterior motives.

But Shu Wan merely glanced at Wang Tian’s message, then went on Weibo and replied to the male fan, "Whether you support me or not, I am an actress; as long as my work satisfies the audience, that’s enough. Whether you’re satisfied with my personal life is not my concern."

(Ahhh, working overtime today, sorry)
