He then grabbed Chu Xing’s hand and brought her in front of everyone. He smiled, "I’m sure everyone’s already met my daughter. Her name is Chu Xing. She’s the daughter of my old friend, who, unfortunately, has passed away."

A cold voice came from the door and interrupted Han Cheng.

Everyone heard the noise and looked over to the door. They saw Xi Ting and Qin Yan step into the living room.

"Mr. Xi, Miss Qin, what are you doing here?" Han Cheng frowned at Xi Ting and Qin Yan’s arrival. He did not know that Qin Yan’s name had been cleared and thus he was in the assumption that Qin Yan had plagiarized someone. And thus, his tone was not that welcoming towards Xi Ting and Qin Yan.

Xi Ting coldly snickered, "I am here to stop you from accepting a murderer in your family."

His words made Chu Xing’s eyes constrict. All the color on her face drained right away.

The Han couple was startled. They looked at the weak and pitiful-looking girl and fell into disbelief.

Everyone else at the scene was confused and wasn’t sure what Xi Ting was doing.

Fang Zichen responded after a while, "Mr. Xi, what joke are you making here? How could Xing’er kill someone?"

Han Cheng’s eyes widened. He was almost speechless, "Mr. Xi, you are crossing the line. Look at the thin arms on that girl. She looks like she would fall when the wind blows. There’s no way she would kill someone."

Fang Zichen’s face had also turned cold by now. She uttered, "You can’t blame anyone like that. You need to provide evidence for your claims."

Xi Ting said coldly, "If I didn’t have evidence, I would never accuse her."

He then made a gesture at his subordinate, who then left the scene immediately. Everyone here exchanged glances while in awe.

Chu Xing’s heart had jumped up to her throat. However, in her mind, she continued to think that there was no way. She did what she did in a private hospital room. There were no security cameras there so how could he have proof? But the look of confidence on Xi Ting’s face made sweat start to form on her forehead.

Fang Zichen noticed the sweat on Chu Xing’s face and asked in concern, "Xing’er, what’s wrong?"

"I’m just so saddened by all this." Chu Xing said sourly, "Even though young master Xi is not a part of the family, he is accusing me of murder. Then, she went to take off the jewelry she wore, as if she had been insanely wronged and hurt. The Han family’s heart ached.

Han Cheng noticed Chu Xing’s reaction and he frowned slightly. Then, he went to hold onto her quivering body, "Xing’er?"

Chu Xing snapped around and grasped onto his hands instead, "Hurry, father, tell them to shut this down! Don’t play this!"

Han Cheng’s eyes flashed with suspicion. He didn’t listen to her and instead, focused on the video. The video clearly showed that this was a surveillance video. The slight shake of the video showed that the video wasn’t set in place.

The video showed a middle-aged man on a hospital bed. Chu Xing stood right by his bedside. Though most people here didn’t recognize Chu Xing’s father, Chu Xing’s positioning made it easy to guess what her relationship was with the man in the hospital bed.

When Han Cheng saw his now passed away friend, his eyes got damp.

The middle-aged-man handed his jade pendant to Chu Xing and said meaningfully, "Xing’er, I don’t know if I can make it through this surgery. Your mother passed away early and there is nobody else you can call family."

"If I don’t make it, go to the Capital City and find the Han family. The head of the family is named Han Cheng. Hand him this pendant and he will know what it is about. We are very close friends. He cares about his friends and he will take care of you on my behalf."

Chu Xing took over the pendant and blankly nodded.

After the video was done. Everyone started to discuss.
