Chapter 523: Qin Muran is black-hearted

The moment Qin Muran was done, she saw that Xi Yaohua was fuming.

She went on, "You’ve just taken over the Global World Entertainment, so a veteran like her probably doesn’t respect you yet. Perhaps that is why she isn’t afraid of you at all. I don’t think she really wants to resign; she’s just venting on me. In any case, she’s very sure that you wouldn’t possibly let her leave Global World Entertainment."

Since Linda didn’t wish to be her manager anymore...She could just scram. She needed an obedient manager, not a manager who wanted her to be obedient.

Qin Muran understood Xi Yaohua well. What triggered him the most was for employees to not respect him or be afraid of him. Even though Linda was a long-time employee of Global World Entertainment, he wouldn’t tolerate her if he knew that she was challenging his authority.

"Since she wants to resign, then let her be. She’s just a manager, I doubt Global World Entertainment will be affected without her. She knew that you are my woman and still dared to treat you like that. How arrogant! I wonder how she treats the other artists. Global World Entertainment doesn’t need someone like her."

Xi Yaohua’s face had darkened drastically, and he immediately called the Human Resources Department at Global World Entertainment to get them to settle Linda’s dismissal.

The Manager of the department got a shock when he heard that, and he even asked for Xi Yaohua to repeat himself.

This reaction made Xi Yaohua even angrier. He got more adamant about kicking Linda out of Global World Entertainment.

"You didn’t hear me wrong. I’m referring to Xie Linda. Get her to return to the office to finish up the paperwork. Also, tell her she doesn’t have to look for me. It’s an order."

Leaning against his chest, Qin Muran smiled smugly. However, what she didn’t know was that she was already on the headlines.

The headline was attention-grabbing: "Popular actress actually getting physical in public! Is Global World Entertainment wrong to have groomed Qin Muran?"

It was followed by paragraphs of text describing how Qin Muran fought with the other woman. There were even nine photographs attached, showing how the two women were caught in the hustle on the ground.

Qin Muran’s face was captured very clearly. As for the other woman, her features weren’t clear in the photographs.

When a piece of news came with such photographs as evidence, there was typically nothing that one could deny. Moreover, Qin Muran’s face was so clear, it couldn’t have been another person.

Such news was usually rather lethal for artists.

Qin Muran was groomed and publicized as a pure and innocent girl, one who gave viewers the image of a first love in school. She was packaged in a way that men remembered their first love. And that sort of character surely wouldn’t get violent in public. Only a shrew would do something like that.

This news was actually really bad for Qin Muran’s image. Although Qin Muran wouldn’t be completely ruined by this piece of news, her future career would likely be impacted. After all, the image of hitting someone else was extremely negative. As a public figure, what she needed to show was a positive side, not something like this.

Qin Muran was already the talk of the town all over Weibo, but she didn’t know about it herself. She and Xi Yaohua returned to the latter’s house.

Qin Muran’s state was disheveled and she did not realize that she was looking like a shrew to Xi Yaohua. She acted coquettishly towards him wanting to gain his sympathy and care.

Although Xi Yaohua did not get attracted by her state, Qin Muran’s innocent eyes and her leaning against him made his face darken.

He had taken her to his room in order to give her some rest, however he could not help but push her onto the bed. The thought of those innocent eyes begging him for mercy activated his animal instincts and he couldn’t help but ravish her.

Today, Qin Muran was on a live-stream. She hadn’t had the chance to use her cell phone and she wasn’t told about the news by her manager too as Linda had resigned from the company.

There was going to be an interview about her daily life, in which the emcee would ask her questions that they’d already agreed on and went through beforehand. Thereafter, the emcee would pick out a few questions left by online users for a more interactive and inclusive element of the interview.

The live-stream was ongoing.

The emcee smilingly asked, "Muran, all of us know that you’re a gentle and kind person in the eyes of all your fans and the public. But we’d still like to know if you’ve got a side that no one has actually seen before. Tell us some parts about you that are very private to yourself."

As this was a live-stream, Qin Muran was able to see the fans’ and users’ real-time reactions.

She held the microphone and smiled as she started her response, "Of course, I do. I guess everyone has a side that nobody really knows about. Even celebrities have one too. They can’t show everything about themselves.

"Take me, for example. I usually appear bubbly and optimistic in front of everyone. But there are times when I experience negative feelings too. That’s another side of me."

The emcee feigned surprise, "Oh? Muran, you have negative feelings too?"

Qin Muran nodded, "Of course. Even the happiest person has their bad times too."

The emcee asked, "During such moments, what methods do you use to regulate your emotions?"

Qin Muran smiled and was about to reply when she saw a comment appear on the screen: [So, that was the reason why you sabotaged Sister Ji Yi and got her kicked out of the Strongest Dance Group?]

She was stunned, and her expression immediately changed.

The emcee saw that she looked a little odd and turned to look at the screen as well. She was equally shocked.

The very next moment.

A few other comments came rolling in: [I heard that she has always stepped on other artists to move forward in the entertainment industry.]

[Haha, still she was unsuccessful in stepping on Sister Ji Yi.]

[I don’t understand why the company is so partial towards Qin Muran. Ji Yi also is a part of Global World Entertainment.]

[I heard that the new CEO of Global World Entertainment is Qin Muran’s boyfriend.]

[So, she seduced a rich man to step in the Entertainment industry. No wonder she got so far with her crappy acting skills.]

Coupled with the fact that Qin Muran was involved in a fight with an intern, the news was released that Qin Muran was responsible for the eviction of Ji Yi in the Strongest Dance Group. Also, some of the other deeds that Qin Muran had done to other artists were also released. Every one of the news was backed with irrefutable evidence.

Thus, the fans of Ji Yi and other artists who were bullied by Qin Muran scammed the comment section with hateful comments.

The comments rolled in too quickly. Everyone present saw it.

The production crew was in utter shock as well, and at that moment, they couldn’t react. The netizens weren’t stopping. But thankfully, the emcee made a move to stop it. She quickly took the cell phone and turned off the comment section. But everything that had been sent in was already seen.

Qin Muran’s expression was awful. She wanted to get her new manager here right away to ask what exactly happened. But the live-stream was still on. She couldn’t just walk out.

The emcee seemed to be caught in a spot. She had conducted this interview so many times, but a situation like this was a first. It was too awkward. It would have been so much easier to handle if this wasn’t a live-stream. Editing could’ve been done to salvage it.

But this happened during a live-stream, and it was all so sudden. There was no way to have stopped it. She wondered who else had seen the comments besides them.

"Uh... Ahem, we’re moving on to the fans’ Q&A segment," The emcee tried to conceal her awkwardness and pretend that nothing happened. She smiled professionally, "Do Muran’s fans have anything they’d like to ask? Muran will be answering you one by one."

"Of course, try not to ask inappropriate questions. Otherwise, it’d be hard for Muran to respond to you guys, right?" The emcee added this statement intentionally, in the hopes of preventing the problem from occurring again.

With that, she smiled and said to Qin Muran, "Muran, you can pick the questions from the list of comments left by your fans and answer them. Are you ready?"

Qin Muran didn’t even have the heart to go on with this live-stream. But she didn’t have a choice. She couldn’t possibly just leave. She had to finish it up, whether she liked it or not.
