Trafficked: Reborn Heir's Revenge
Chapter 71: Explore the Dream Realm.

Chapter 71: Explore the Dream Realm.

Of course, it was not only the Vontell family that had Wrapped slaves within the dungeons. The other families of power were all the same. Sometimes, even the outer wall noble families had some.

Considering the fact that most inner wall noble families were in a state of constant competition with one another, Wrapped were usually walking with huge targets on their backs.

Oliver was young, and it was not like he wanted to be the subject of everyone's target. It was just that they were things that he wanted to achieve within the dungeons that he could not do unless he was a Wrapped.

After all, he was coming with the knowledge that he had acquired from the future. Those stories that had been told by Many Wrapped of places within the dungeon where they found certain treasures. There were also records of shards, some of them more exotic and scary than anyone had ever seen. And of course, the location of Solomon's staff. The relic that had sent him back in time.

Oliver wanted to get all of it. However, if he was not branded as a Wrapped from the get-go, then any points, treasures, shards, skills, or abilities he got as a result of the dungeons will be extracted from him nearly immediately.

In order to grab as much as possible and still keep it to himself, he had to become a Wrapped.

But that much was also not enough. Oliver's goal was for the Somara empire to fall. He was not such a fool to think that he could purely do it alone. This meant that he would be needing strong allies that had strong, exploitable hatred for the Somara empire.

After all, 'Iron sharpens Iron.' His hatred for the Somara Empire against that of others with similar hatred would only make them grow together.

For example, that little half-dark elf girl. There were others too, but that one was the first on his list.

As Roderick introduced the different aspects of the dungeons, their history, and their importance, Oliver—still upside down—was calculating the gains he needed from the dungeon space.

The lecture was a lengthy one. With more than half of it being very useless information and more praises to the Somara empire for the opportunity to explore the dungeons.

After which, they were all allowed time to go back and digest the information given. Of course, they still had no choice but to also recite the Imperial Slave Value system a thousand times before bed. That part of their training was nonnegotiable.

After the lecture, the slaves that were not a part of this warehouse were allowed the opportunity to head back.

Roderick looked at Oliver with incredible hatred.

As things were, the Vontell family was in a precarious situation. He could not kill any more slaves. Even if it was by accident, they would not let it go. Losing 90% of their recently wrapped before a major event was a very big deal.

Luckily, most of those Wrapped that were lost were freshly awarded Wrapped—only months ago.

If not, he would have directly looked for an excuse to kill Oliver off.

Roderick walked up to Oliver, who was still 'chilling' upside down. He looked at Oliver—right in the eyes. There was something about this slave that unsettled him. He could tell that he was much stronger than him, but something in those eyes—not just fearless, but purposeful.

Almost as if, if the opportunity presented itself, Oliver would tear him with his teeth.

Roderick had done unspeakable things. But not enough to this batch of slaves to warrant such a blatant show of hatred. In fact, up until Oliver's hair reveal, Oliver was a favored slave. But now—Roderick frowned. He needed to realign Oliver.

"Discipline."

Oliver did not respond at first.

"I said DISCIPLINE!"

"Discipline: Discipline Is the spine of servitude. I will not speak without command. I will not think without permission. I will not rest until permission is given. Pain is not punishment. It is Love." Oliver finished reciting.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Roderick nodded, "good! Then you understand that you are lacking in discipline. Don't worry, I'll reamend you." Roderick waved his hand. "Box Of Blessing."

Instantly, a box of Blessing appeared directly behind Oliver, instantly enveloping him.

Then came the screams. Roderick saw this and nodded in satisfaction. And then he left. However, the moment Oliver no longer felt his presence close, he stopped screaming.

Box of blessing?

What rubbish.

It was not that it did not hurt, but Oliver had experienced as much as eating his daily meal. Human beings had the ability to adapt after all. And Oliver's mental Endurance was A+. The only reason he screamed once he got in the box was for Roderick to believe he was doing something of meaning and finally leave him alone.

After all, as much as Oliver wanted to taunt him more and maybe take another ear, he also needed to prepare for the dungeon.

Instantly, he dove into the night trial.

On entering into the trial, the first thing he did was to bombard the floating skull with a lot of questions about the Nightmare sigil.

This time around, Oliver was purposeful. He needed to know how to use the advantage that he had to the best of his abilities.

The things he learnt were fascinating.

Firstly, the Night Trial was only an aspect of the Nightmare realm that he exclusively had access to. The Dream realm as a whole was huge and encompassing. And yes, it was a real place. A land formed by the millions of minds in the waking world that created it.

For this reason, things were not always straight forward within the Dream realm. The Skull advised him to be really careful if he indeed to explore this place.

After all, it was not impossible for him to wonder into land that he would never wake up from.

All Dreams were connected to create this incredible world. And therefore, all dreams had their gifts and curses.

While wondering into another person's dream could happen as a result of strong emotions, like what happened with Seraphina—It was best to use this ability with control.

Every time he were to pass the obstacle that was the night trial, he could immediately increase in Bloodline rank. But of course, each trial was not going to be easy. In fact, the easiest he might ever get was the one he had just concluded. Some even had very very CRAZY conditions for passing. After all, Asmodeus had not been a simple demon.

It was tempting to dive into the next trial, but even the skull advised against it. At least not yet.

And after seeing the description hint for the next trial, he agreed.

[Night Trial: Phase 2 Hint: "I Have No Eyes But I Must See, I have No Voice But I Must Scream]

Just the hint for it sent chills down his spine.

There was a lot more. Dreams were not the same as Nightmares, but all existed in the same world. Dreams could be corrupted by nightmares as Nightmares could be purified by dreams. One could not survive without the presence of the other. It was like two sides of the same coin. Weirdly enough, they balanced each other out.

Oliver discovered that the creatures he killed were generally called Nightmare beasts or Nightmare Creatures by the people of the Dream. But that was only because they were wild, untamed, and caused chaos. If not, they would have been tagged as Dream Creatures.

The line dividing the two was really only a matter of perspective.

The corpses of these dream or nightmare beasts could be traded for Shards, but the best would be to exchange them for Dream coins.

Dream coins were divided into Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The beasts killed was appraised by the Dream Guild. And then rewards were given as such. Also, one could even buy and sell weapons, tools, and even bloodline abilities—this one shocked Oliver. He could not help but ask if skills could be bought. Unfortunately, they could not.

This much was different from the real world were skills could be absorbed by the master from the slave. But having the skill, was entirely different from performing it. After all, each skill had its own requirement for effective performance. But that was issue for another time.

Oliver got this much knowledge about this world and was very glad that he had asked.

After all, in the real world, he was about to enter the Dungeons. Right now, he did not even have a weapon he could use. Killing the Bottomless-bellied Desert Scorpions only gave him the pouch and the Carcass mail.

If he had not learned the One-inch punch skill, he would not have been able to fight them off. Having a weapon would be good.

Oliver also discovered that if he had never passed the first trial, then he would never have been allowed to explore the Dream realm.

And so he went back to the Sand village he had left. But instead of going to the Merchant shop, he instead went to the Nightmare Guild Station.

Oliver learnt that he could find one of these stations in most towns and villages of the Dreamland.

He made his way to the Nightmare station. It was a building that was mostly out of place with those around it. It was bigger and larger compared to the huts and also decorated. From the outside were runes that snaked about its body.

Oliver got to realize that these were called Dream runes and were regarded as the foundation of this world. Those that could mold or bend them were not many. It was one of the skills that gave the Nightmare Guild the power that they had.

Oliver walked into the small but spacious hall. There were a few people on the left and right, waiting. Some had farm tools with them, and some others even had Dream beasts with them.

One creature had a face that was upside down but then extra mouths all over its body. Its master, a young farm boy, fed it some shining rainbow-like grass.

Some others even flowed in the air with no wings.

Oliver walked up to the counter.

"Welcome, Demon of Nightmares. How may I help you." The beautiful young nymph behind the counter responded.

Oliver paused. There it was again. Just like the village chief had referred to him. 'Demon'.
