Chapter 58: Chapter 58: Tell Me, Who’s Really in Charge Between Us?

And Jin Jumo, it seems, still can’t reach the point of making him lose control.

Jin Jumo looked at Rong Mochen, who appeared so sullen, and her eyes narrowed intensely.

What is she doing?

Is she showing her financier a hard time?

Taking a slight breath, Jin Jumo forced a smile on her pale face and said softly, "Mr. Rong, I’m going to take a shower now."

Yes, this is the attitude she should have in front of him.

Rong Mochen stared coldly at Jin Jumo’s face, pulling her slightly forcefully closer. His icy fingers lightly lifted her chin, his voice low, "And you say you’re not the one calling the shots, hmm?"

Jin Jumo’s heart jumped, looking at him in confusion.

"These days, you always go against me. When I want to touch you, you have to be willing. If you’re not willing, you easily come up with an excuse to brush me off, and I couldn’t bear to do anything about it? When I ask you to have a meal with me, I have to make sure my attitude isn’t too inviting, otherwise, you’ll find a reason to reject me. Little Mo, tell me, between the two of us, who’s actually in charge?"

Rong Mochen spoke slowly in a low tone, his voice cold and clear, carrying an elusive implication.

With each accusation from Rong Mochen, Jin Jumo’s heart turned cold.

She thought it wasn’t obvious.

She didn’t expect her clumsy efforts had long been noticed!

Narrowing her eyes slightly, Jin Jumo looked innocently at Rong Mochen, "Mr. Rong, if you want to put blame on someone, it’s not hard to find excuses. What kind of status do you hold, and what status do I have? How could a fragile woman like me dare to oppose a great figure like you? No one would believe it if I said it aloud."

Jin Jumo, with her every word of "you," truly placed herself exceedingly low before Rong Mochen.

Yet Rong Mochen’s face remained inscrutable as he looked at her with a half-smile, "Put blame on someone?"

Jin Jumo lowered her eyelashes, nodding earnestly without fearing she might hurt her neck.

Rong Mochen chuckled coldly, staring into Jin Jumo’s eyes, "Little Mo, don’t let me catch you."

It seemed like a joke, yet carried a certain profound meaning.

Jin Jumo’s breath suddenly halted, lowering her eyes, not daring to look at him.

"Your complexion is so bad, is your stomach still uncomfortable?"

A slightly cool hand gently brushed across Jin Jumo’s sweat-dampened forehead.

The topic shift was so fast that it took Jin Jumo a few seconds to react, pouting slightly, "My complexion wouldn’t be this bad if Mr. Rong hadn’t scared me."

"Speaking nonsense again."

The corners of Rong Mochen’s cold lips finally curved into a slight smile, watching Jin Jumo speak with no truths in her words.

Jin Jumo wasn’t speaking nonsense.

On one hand, her stomach truly felt uncomfortable; on the other hand, she was indeed startled by his half-real "threats."

"Go take a shower," Rong Mochen said, squeezing Jin Jumo’s still cool hand with a frown.

Jin Jumo’s eyes paused for a moment before she nodded.

She withdrew her hand and turned towards the bathroom.

However, just as she was about to reach the bathroom, a low voice came from behind her.

"Is the result out?"

"Yes, go to Jinming Port City and wait for me."

Jinming Port City?

Jin Jumo paused, turning her head in confusion.

She saw Rong Mochen remove the phone from his ear, and his dark eyes glanced at her, "Come here."

Jin Jumo bit her lip before walking toward him.

Rong Mochen wrapped an arm around her waist, lowering his head to lightly brush his lips against hers, "Would you like to stay here tonight or have the driver take you back to school?"

Jin Jumo’s brow twitched lightly as she asked tentatively, "Is Mr. Rong leaving now?"

"Yes," Rong Mochen replied deeply, looking at her intently.

"Oh."

Jin Jumo’s face remained calm, but her downcast long lashes concealed the sudden brightness in her peach-blossom eyes, "It’s not late yet. I’ll take a car back to school later myself. No need to trouble the driver to make a special trip."

"It’s his job. Let him take you back to school," Rong Mochen said, releasing Jin Jumo and heading to the bedroom.

Jin Jumo said nothing further, obediently nodding.

Turning, she followed him into the bedroom.

Her cheeks flushed, she quickly pulled back her foot, retreating to the side of the bedroom door.

Unexpectedly, he was going into the bedroom to change clothes.

"Little Mo." Rong Mochen’s cool voice came from inside.

Jin Jumo patted her face and raised her voice slightly, "What is it, Mr. Rong?"

"The coat," he said.

Jin Jumo looked up at the coat and suit hanging on the entryway coat rack.

She stood in place for a few seconds, estimating that he had finished dressing, before walking over and picking up the suit and coat to bring into the bedroom.

When she entered, Rong Mochen was already fully dressed in a white shirt and black pants, looking astonishingly handsome.

Placing the coat on the bed, Jin Jumo picked up the suit, smoothed it out, and walked to Rong Mochen’s side.

Rong Mochen glanced back at her, his dark eyes softening, arms extended.

Jin Jumo stood behind him, stunned for a moment, then realized he wanted her to help him with his jacket.

However, there was a considerable height difference between them.

Jin Jumo had to slightly stand on her toes to fit one of his arms into the suit sleeve, her breathing already unsteady.

She glanced at his other outstretched arm.

The well-fitting white shirt perfectly outlined the muscular lines of his arm, smooth and powerful.

Jin Jumo thought of how he always wrapped this arm around her waist... Her cheeks grew warm.

She shook her head to clear the thoughts from her mind.

Finally managing to slide his other arm into the jacket, she smoothed it out.

Only then did she exhale lightly, moving around to his front.

Her slender white fingers grasped a garnet button on the suit, carefully fastening it, and meticulously smoothing the creases in his suit.

She moved sideways to pick up the coat on the bed.

Unexpectedly, a shadow suddenly enveloped her.

"Accompany me once." The man’s husky, magnetic voice sounded beside her.

Boom...

Jin Jumo’s mind went blank, overwhelmed with horror.

Instinctively, she struggled, arms and legs flailing.

"Mr. Rong, please, don’t..."

Closing her eyes, Jin Jumo clutched her stomach with one hand, slowly curling into a ball, her breath quickening, which lasted for a long time.

It wasn’t until half an hour after Rong Mochen left that Jin Jumo stepped out of Nan Jing Apartment.

Exiting Nan Jing Apartment, she saw the driver already waiting for her downstairs.

Jin Jumo sighed lightly and walked towards the Cayenne.

Instead of sitting in the front passenger seat as usual, she sat in the seat behind the driver.

The driver looked at Jin Jumo in surprise through the rearview mirror.

Seeing that Jin Jumo turned her face towards the car window after getting in, her expression cold, lips pressed slightly tight, exuding an air of detachment and tranquility.

This was the first time the driver had seen Jin Jumo like this.

The driver opened his mouth, seeming to want to say something, but in the end, he said nothing, driving toward the direction of G University.

Forty minutes later, the Cayenne arrived at the West Gate of G University.

Jin Jumo got out of the car, silently nodded to the driver, and walked into the school gate.

The driver watched Jin Jumo’s back, a thoughtful look in his eyes.

But this time, he didn’t call Rong Mochen to report.

Instead of returning directly to her dorm, Jin Jumo went to Jian Liangtong’s dormitory.

After knocking a few times with no response from inside.

Jin Jumo stood at the door for a few seconds before turning to leave.

Her phone inside her bag rang timely.

Jin Jumo took out her phone, glanced at the caller ID, her peach blossom eyes narrowing, and answered, "Liang Tong."

"Have you come back from the hospital?" Jian Liangtong’s voice sounded a bit hoarse, with a heavy nasal tone.

Jin Jumo held her phone tightly, responding lowly, "Yes, I’m back. I went to your dorm to find you, but you’re not there."

"Oh. I’m not in the dorm at the moment, sitting by the Lovers’ Lake on campus," Jian Liangtong said hoarsely.

"...Then, should I come to find you?" Jin Jumo lowered her eyelashes, speaking as she walked downstairs.
