When Guan Jingshuo received Doctor Li’s regular prescription list, he was stunned. It wasn’t a list of medicines but a menu, although all the listed foods came with specific dosages.

Doctor Li put down his writing brush, "Follow my recipe, and come back in a month for me to see you; we’ll make adjustments then. Guan Jingshuo asked in bewilderment, "Just these?" Could eating these coarse grains really cure his frailty? It seemed too miraculous.

Guan Jingshuo looked at the booklet whose cover was half missing and tattered on the outside while clean and tidy on the inside.
