Time Travel: Pampered by the Aloof Prince
Chapter 280: Why Does the Princess Do Such a Thing?

Chapter 280: Chapter 280: Why Does the Princess Do Such a Thing?

In the Liu Family garden, Madam Liu was discussing with Liu Sisi how to lure Qi Yu to the rockery.

Liu Sisi said coldly, "I think we should just knock that wretch unconscious and drag her in!"

Madam Liu glared at her, "Nonsense!"

She is a princess. If she were really to be harmed, not only would the Prince blame them, but even His Majesty would not spare the Liu Family.

If they were to use any means, it could only be those that didn’t show any trace at first glance; otherwise, they might end up stirring trouble without catching the "fox."

Liu Sisi, having been scolded, felt somewhat unhappy and said in a sarcastic tone, "Then, Mother, do you have any better ideas?"

Madam Liu glared at her, feeling that her daughter was good in every aspect except that she was too impetuous.

Even if she truly married into Prince Qiu Residence, she probably wouldn’t be a match for Qi Yu.

But now was not the time to discuss her.

As the mother and daughter were furrowing their brows in thought, Liu Murou suddenly came forward, bowed to them, and spoke softly, "Madam, sister."

Seeing her, both Madam Liu and Liu Sisi’s faces fell.

Still, in front of outsiders, Madam Liu asked politely, "What is it?"

Liu Murou was used to their cold attitude. With a servile demeanor, she looked downward, yet a flash of viciousness crossed her eyes.

"I just passed by the rockery, and I saw Prince Qiu’s Wife seemingly heading inside. I found it strange, so I thought to inform Madam."

Upon hearing this, Liu Sisi’s eyes immediately sparkled as she asked eagerly, "Are you telling the truth?"

Madam Liu was skeptical.

In her eyes, Liu Murou, just like her sly mother, was no good.

Liu Murou looked up quietly and said, "I saw it with my own eyes, absolutely true."

Liu Sisi immediately wanted to get up and rush to the rockery to catch the person.

Madam Liu stopped her, her expression indifferent as she looked at Liu Murou and asked, "According to you, why would Prince Qiu’s Wife willingly go into the rockery?"

Liu Murou hadn’t expected Madam Liu to be so suspicious and had no choice but to continue fabricating, "This... I’m not sure, I just happened to see Prince Qiu’s Wife going inside. I was about to call her out when I approached the rockery, but then I heard a man’s voice..."

At that point, she stopped, her expression suggesting she was somewhat embarrassed to say the rest.

Upon hearing this, Liu Sisi’s eyes already showed impatience, as if she couldn’t wait to lead people over to catch the adulterers.

Although Madam Liu was somewhat moved, she remained as stable as Mount Tai and coldly scolded, "Do you realize that slandering the Princess is a capital offense!"

Liu Murou quickly lowered her head and meekly said, "Madam, I dare not lie, every word is true."

Liu Sisi could no longer care that this person was her archenemy. She tugged at Madam Liu’s sleeve and urged, "Mother, let’s just go and see, perhaps Prince Qiu’s Wife is really in the rockery with someone!"

As she spoke, her tone was full of mockery.

Liu Murou sneered inwardly. Liu Sisi’s choice of words was even more vulgar than hers, yet why didn’t Madam Liu reprimand her for slandering the Princess?

Her hands were already clenched into fists, thinking that one day, she would make this mother and daughter pair pay dearly.

Over the years, she and her mother had been oppressed by the Liu family mother and daughter, suffering endlessly and treated like servants in the residence.

Now that an opportunity has finally presented itself, she was determined not to let it slip away.

As long as she could lure the mother and daughter of the Liu Family to the rockery, the Princess would take care of them then.

With so many people present today, once they finish watching the play, they will surely talk about this incident as a joke.

Soon, the mother and daughter of the Liu Family will become the laughing stock of the entire capital city.

Liu Murou raised her hand to her lips, covering the slight upturn of her lips.

The plight of the Liu family’s mother and daughter was not the only thing on her mind. Their father, Lord Liu, was a man who prized his reputation above all else, and if he were to find out about this, he would surely punish them severely.

Just thinking about it made her heart surge with excitement, almost pushing her to hasten their fall into this trap.

However, Madam Liu still harbored some doubts about her words.

Liu Murou was anxiously fretting when suddenly, she saw Song Yuerou rushing over in a fluster, urgently saying to Madam Liu, "While strolling in the garden, I just stepped away to pour a cup of tea, and my cousin disappeared. I hope Madam can help me find her, otherwise, I will have trouble explaining to my grandfather and cousin!"

Madam Liu was moved.

The words of Song Yuerou matched what Liu Murou had just said. Could it be that Qi Yu really entered the rockery?

Liu Sisi was shaking her mother’s arm frantically, "Mother, since Miss Song has said so, let us quickly send someone to find the Princess. If we delay further, it would be bad!"

The words of Liu Murou and now Song Yuerou had made her heart fly to the rockery.

Madam Liu patted her hand and, after showing concern for Song Yuerou, turned her head to a maid beside her and said, "Follow me to find the Princess."

"Yes," the maids responded in unison.

The others also looked over curiously. Madam Liu knew that to spread the word across the entire capital city, she would need their help.

She did not hide her intentions and deliberately sighed deeply, briefly recounting Song Yuerou’s words.

Suddenly, everyone was looking around, trying to spot the Princess.

Liu Sisi was also busy; knowing that these people were unfamiliar with the place, she deliberately led them toward the rockery.

Soon, everyone heard a man’s scream emanating from within the rockery.

"What is that sound?" some ladies from prominent families asked with a startle.

A flash of joy crossed Liu Sisi’s eyes. Her face, however, was furrowed in worry as she shouted towards the people inside the rockery, "Who is hiding there, playing tricks!"

Shortly after, a figure with a pale countenance slowly walked out from the rockery.

Seeing Yin Chenzong, Liu Sisi’s face lit up, but she forcibly suppressed her smile and sternly chastised, "What were you doing hiding in there?"

Yin Chenzong had just been pricked again by a silver needle by Qi Yu and was shivering all over, barely able to straighten his tongue.

Madam Liu, noting his condition, felt something was amiss. Just as she was about to react, she saw Qi Yu slowly walking out from the rockery.

Qi Yu still held a silver needle in her hand, her lips curled in a slight smile, her eyes gleamed with amusement yet were exceedingly cold as she looked towards her.

The chill in her gaze made Madam Liu feel a sudden fear.

She steadied herself and attacked first, "Why isn’t the Princess in the garden? What are you doing here?"

Having said that, without waiting for Qi Yu to reply, she pointed at Yin Chenzong and said coldly, "The Liu Family is not a place for frivolous pleasures. I kindly invited the Princess to a feast, why then would the Princess engage in such indecent acts!"
