Gu Fan and Su Hui’s vehicle sped along the highway. Due to the curfew, the streets were empty, making their car all the more conspicuous. So, they thought, since they were already speeding, they might as well keep on.

Sirens blared from behind, and several law enforcement vehicles were in pursuit, their loudspeakers blaring, "The vehicle upfront, stop immediately, stop immediately."

Gu Fan’s face was filled with distress. "Brother, Sister, it’s not our fault. We didn’t mean to cause you trouble. We’re victims too."

"What do we do? If we get caught, we won’t be able to explain ourselves." David was very anxious, and his worry was shared by everyone else.

Su Hui mustered all her courage. "At this point, there’s no holding back. Let’s just break through."

Seeing a woman showing more guts than the men, everyone was inspired with courage. They decided to go all in, but they saw no hope of getting out of the city.

Even more law enforcement vehicles joined the chase from behind, and they were fast. Gu Fan and Su Hui felt their hearts sink; this wasn’t a solution.

As they reached an intersection, a batch of vehicles suddenly charged out, insanely ramming directly into the law enforcement vehicles, flipping them over.

"My God? Have they gone mad?" Gu Fan looked out the window at the scene unfolding behind them. The law enforcement vehicles were either overturned or thrown off course.

The ones making this bold move were from a gang. Over a dozen of their vehicles coordinated the attack. After dealing with the law enforcement vehicles, they howled crazily, their next target being Gu Fan’s truck.

"My God, an even fiercer bunch is coming." Boss Fat Tiger was also stunned. Today was just too crazy, too intense.

Gu Fan took a deep breath, then glanced at Su Hui, who nodded. "Our chance is here, we might be able to escape."

"Right, dealing with either side on our own, there’s no chance of escape, but if they hinder each other, consume each other, then we have a chance." Gu Fan’s voice trembled as he said this, as he had never experienced such a battlefield before.

Suddenly, gunfire erupted from behind. The Black Night Gang was chasing and shooting, not wasting time with words.

From their attitude, Gu Fan knew these must be Qian Ye’s men—they didn’t care about damaging the goods in the truck at all.

Then a helicopter appeared, broadcasting messages to the vehicles below. The Black Night Gang found the noise above them irritating and shot at the helicopter, which swiftly retreated in fear.

Seeing the Black Night Gang acting with such recklessness made David very nervous. He asked Su Hui, "In your professional opinion, what’s going to happen next?"

Su Hui looked serious. "If I were in the law enforcement command center, based on our direction of travel, they’ll have set up roadblocks ahead. So, I’m going to turn." After saying that, Su Hui immediately swerved the steering wheel, turning right at the intersection.

Gu Fan frowned. "The law enforcement here will use surveillance, and images captured by the helicopter to track all our movements and predict our next steps, then deploy their personnel accordingly. We can’t keep running like this."

Su Hui nodded. "That’s right. The law enforcement vehicles are converging on us from all directions. We’ll be surrounded, but..." She paused, then turned right at the next intersection.

Gu Fan suddenly understood. "Sister Su, you’re planning to double back."

"Exactly. If we continue forward, no matter which road we take, they’ll have roadblocks waiting for us. But if we reverse our direction, we might break through the encirclement." Su Hui needed to focus on driving as well as devise an escape route.

Gu Fan opened up the entire city map and said, "At this point, absolutely avoid the highway and try to take as many side roads as possible."

"Let’s hope so!" Su Hui glanced at the rearview mirror, a trace of concern flashing in her eyes. "Get ready; no matter how we run, there will always be vehicles catching up, and then we’ll be confronted front and back."

Upon hearing this, Gu Fan understood. "First they block your retreat, then set up a roadblock ahead. It typically works, but now..."

As the truck passed an intersection, several law enforcement vehicles waited. They watched the truck go by, followed by the Black Night Gang, and then they followed suit.

David was tense. "What do we do? Use your trick, let’s take the same back route again."

To this, Su Hui shook her head. "It’s no use. The law enforcement vehicles have caught up, meaning we’ve entered their ambush area. We’re surrounded, and even a reverse course will be blocked."

The Black Night Gang’s vehicles were getting closer, completely disregarding the law enforcement vehicles, which made Gu Fan panic, placing his hope in Su Hui.

Now, Gu Fan’s truck was in front, followed by the Black Night Gang, with the law enforcement vehicles at the rear. The situation was confusing; it was unclear what was actually happening.

When they reached another intersection and saw several law enforcement vehicles waiting, they planned to follow all the vehicles after they passed, while also blocking off some routes to force the traffic in a certain direction—as Su Hui had predicted, they had entered an ambush.

Su Hui broke into a cold sweat. "We can’t continue driving; I have a feeling that there will be a well-prepared roadblock ahead."

"What should we do?" David was desperate. They couldn’t move forward, and they couldn’t find a way back. He suggested, "We’re in a big truck; let’s just break through with brute force."

Su Hui shook her head in response. "They might have spikes at the roadblocks to puncture our tires. Besides, our truck absolutely can’t afford to take a hit; any damage and we may truly be unable to escape."

Upon hearing this, everyone felt a sense of powerlessness, as if they really couldn’t escape.

And sure enough, after a turn, a sturdy roadblock appeared, spikes lined the ground first, followed by several law enforcement vehicles blockading the way. Even with the truck’s power to break through, escape was no longer possible.

Seeing so many law enforcement officers armed and ready, Su Hui and Gu Fan knew they couldn’t just bulldoze through. Clashing with the law enforcement wasn’t their intention, but surrendering like this wasn’t something they were willing to do either.
