Chapter 805: Chapter 805: Grasp the Time

Back at the hotel, Gu Fan and David discussed the plan, and after listening, David’s brow furrowed, not having expected Gu Fan to actually find a gang that could smuggle them and their equipment out in secret.

David expressed his concern, "Gu Fan, do you really trust those people? It’s like we’re betting everything we have on them."

In response, Gu Fan sighed, "There’s no choice, we don’t have a better option, and neither do they. Everyone is out of good options, so I have to take the gamble, and the odds of winning are high."

Su Hui also thought it was feasible. If they didn’t take the risk now, they might not even have the chance to take a gamble later on.

The gang that Gu Fan had found was the Fat Tiger Gang. As their name suggests, each member was overweight, a second-tier gang in the city that had recently been hit hard and suffered casualties.

The Fat Tiger Gang was already arranging for a boat, and they expected to leave by tomorrow night, so as long as they held on until then, there should be no problem.

To show his sincerity, Gu Fan asked Du Jun for a sum of money, intending to pay the Fat Tiger Gang in cash to avoid any record of the transaction that could lead to complications later on.

Well, after enough chaos for one night, Gu Fan, Su Hui, and David went back to their rooms to rest, to sleep well, and to face tomorrow with plenty of energy.

A bit exhausted, Gu Fan fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, the continuous gunfire outside unable to keep him awake. He was simply too tired, and so were Su Hui and David—they desperately needed the rest.

The next day, Gu Fan woke up around ten o’clock and quickly roused Su Hui so that they could go to the bank and withdraw the money.

As they stepped out of the hotel, Gu Fan and Su Hui saw many pedestrians on the street, each one bustling and seemingly in a hurry. On the surface, everything looked normal, but upon closer inspection, there was a heaviness on everyone’s faces, a sign that the continuous gang clashes had started to take a psychological toll on them.

Gu Fan and Su Hui arrived at a commercial plaza and saw news being broadcasted on a large electronic screen about the situation from the previous night. It seemed that those responsible for maintaining the city’s security had also been hit, with several casualties.

"My goodness, things are too lively here, let’s hurry up and leave," Su Hui didn’t want to stay any longer, feeling that it was much safer back home. The pressure to maintain order in this city was just too great.

Gu Fan agreed. He went to the bank, withdrew the money, put it in a bag, and then left the bank with Su Hui.

At that moment, a person brushed past Gu Fan and Su Hui, instantly captivated by Su Hui’s beauty. Then, after taking out his phone and comparing a photo, he realized they were the people the Lone Wolf Gang was looking for.

The individual covertly followed them and used his cell phone to call the boss of the Lone Wolf Gang, who ordered him to keep close, as catching them would be a great achievement.

"Okay, boss, no problem, I’ll make sure to keep up," the person thought to himself with a secret delight, convinced that he was bound to strike it big this time. However, just as he hung up the phone, he saw Gu Fan and Su Hui turn a corner and disappear from sight.

The person immediately quickened his pace to follow. Turning the corner, he found that they were nowhere to be seen.

Who was Su Hui? Her skills in tracking and counter-tracking were exceptionally strong. It was impossible for her not to notice someone behind her. It wasn’t just professional training; in her everyday life, whether going to the supermarket or walking on the street, people would follow her. Hence, she was particularly sensitive to such situations.

Now, Gu Fan and Su Hui were hiding in a small shop, watching as Gu Fan wondered, "Sister Su, are you sure that person followed us not just because of your beauty?"

Su Hui nodded and said with certainty, "Of course. Look at how anxious he was! If he followed because of my looks, then losing us would have just been a regrettable moment, not a reason to panic."

"It seems our whereabouts have been discovered!" Gu Fan frowned, then called the Fat Tiger Gang on his cell phone, asking them to send a car for pickup. The time for action had to be moved up.

The Fat Tiger Gang said it was no problem, so they had a car pick up Gu Fan and Su Hui and take them to the warehouse.

Boss Pan Hu questioned, "Why move up the plan?"

Gu Fan had a look of helplessness as he replied, "Our movements may have been discovered by the enemy, but don’t worry, we’ve shaken them off for now. However, if we stay in this city, we’ll definitely be found, so we need to move ahead of schedule."

"But, our ship is still on the way," Boss Pan Hu worried, fearing that moving ahead of schedule could cause complications.

Gu Fan, however, dismissed those concerns, "By tonight, your enemies will also make their move. We have to leave as soon as possible or none of us will get out."

The logic seemed sound, and Boss Pan Hu agreed, but a plan was needed.

Gu Fan handed Boss Pan Hu the car keys, telling him where the vehicles were parked, so that they could be brought over. Now, during daylight, the gangs wouldn’t brazenly cause trouble for them.

Meanwhile, another member of the Fat Tiger Gang drove to return Su Hui to the hotel to pack up with David.

Once the truck and the car from the hotel had both returned to the warehouse, everyone immediately got into action, seizing the moment to leave and bid farewell to this place forever.

Boss Pan Hu agreed to proceed, though there was a hint of reluctance, as leaving would mean giving up all their turf here, which they had worked hard to build.

Gu Fan knew how hard it was to let go, but he told Boss Pan Hu that only by doing so could they have a new start. Maybe in a new place, they might live even better, right?

Alright, the action had begun. Two members of the Fat Tiger Gang took the truck keys and headed to the parking spot Gu Fan had mentioned, while another drove to pick up David at the hotel.

Gu Fan stayed behind to study the city map. Based on the docking location provided by Boss Pan Hu, Gu Fan was now not just thinking about how to reach the port in the shortest time, but also considering alternative routes in case of emergencies to evade all enemies.

There were already people who had noticed Gu Fan and Su Hui and had even tried to track them. Though they had lost them, it had likely alerted Helen, Qiao Ya, and their crew. The opposition would now send more forces into the city to search for Gu Fan and Su Hui.

If it were him, Gu Fan was certain they would have people monitoring the city’s main exits around the clock. Furthermore, they would scour hotels near the last known locations of Gu Fan and Su Hui.

As the thought crossed his mind, Gu Fan broke out in a cold sweat and immediately called Su Hui’s cell phone. Knowing Su Hui’s current position was crucial, and he had to remind her to act quickly.
