Chapter 720: Still Fell Down

Chapter 720: Chapter 720: Still Fell Down

Lin Xi sprinted with Qian Feng in her arms, going no particular place, wanting only to get Qian Feng away from everybody, ensuring everyone’s safety.

"Damn it, stop!" Qian Feng resisted, bursting with supernatural power, nearly shaking Lin Xi off.

Lin Xi knew it wouldn’t work like this, she wouldn’t be able to hold onto Qian Feng. So, she crashed into a wall with Qian Feng, the violent impact causing excruciating pain throughout her body, as if every bone in her body was about to shatter.

Lin Xi fell to the ground, so much in pain that she could not stand up. She tried to cast a spell to heal herself, but she was no match for Qian Feng, who recovered faster.

"Qian Ye, you disappoint me." Qian Feng stood up first, aimed a palm strike at Lin Xi, who was still lying on the ground. The powerful Strong Wind sent Lin Xi flying, smashing into the wall again.

Lin Xi writhed in agony, sweating profusely. As she saw Qian Feng approaching again, she bore the pain, using her hands to prop herself up from the ground, barely managing to get up before being flung away mercilessly by another palm strike from Qian Feng.

This time, Lin Xi could no longer stand up, and could only plead, "Sister, for the bond we once had, please spare me."

"Shut up! How dare you ask me to spare you in consideration of our past bond! Where was that bond when you abandoned me?" Qian Feng scolded, filled with immense anger, preparing for another palm strike at Lin Xi.

"I’m sorry, sister, but I had to leave at that time." Although Lin Xi apologized, her unrepentant demeanor infuriated Qian Feng even more, resulting in another palm strike that left Lin Xi with no strength to fight back.

"Damn it! You’re too much, sister!" Lin Xi found that supplication and apologies only gave Qian Feng more leverage, so she got angry and retorted, "You’re always blaming me for leaving. Isn’t it your fault that I had to leave?"

Upon hearing this, Qian Feng grew angrier, "When did I force you to leave? When did I ask you to leave the Shennv Xuanhui? Did I ever do that?"

"You never said it, but your actions were forcing me. You never listened to what I said and only carried out your own plans, forcing me to follow your commands. Do you consider me a sister or a subordinate?" Lin Xi challenged loudly, the pent-up grievances bursting out.

Far from feeling remorse, Qian Feng was filled with anger, "With so many sisters in the Shennv Xuanhui, what could I do? Should they all argue with me as you do? Do you think it’s easy to be in this position?"

Hearing this, Lin Xi sneered, "Yes, your position is indeed difficult–so you dealt ruthlessly with those who dared to resist you, especially Qian Lan."

"I know you’ve harbored resentment against me since Qian Lan’s death, but I always believed in our sisterly bond and thought you would understand why I did what I did. To think that you betrayed me for Qian Lan–doesn’t our sisterhood, born from being together through thick and thin for over ten years, mean less to you than your five years of knowing Qian Lan?" Qian Feng’s hands clenched in anger as she spoke.

Lin Xi coldly retorted, "Qian Lan did not deserve to die. Your actions make you seem very strange to me. You are not the Qian Feng I once knew, so I chose to leave."

"Is that so? You say I’m not the Qian Feng I used to be. Yes, I’ve become more irritable, cruel, and heartless. But towards you, Qian Ye, I’ve never changed. No matter how many times you resisted me, no matter how many conflicts we had, no matter how estranged we became, I never once thought of giving up on you. Do you know why? Because to me, you are my only true sister. I firmly believe that our bond as sisters is unbreakable, eternal. But you left. You left without saying goodbye. Do you know how much my heart hurts?" Qian Feng cried out in anger, releasing all the emotions inside her.

"Qian Ye, you are so cruel. You took away the only good feeling in my heart. Did you ever consider my feelings? After you left, how was I supposed to lead the Shennv Xuanhui alone? After you left, what was the point of all I’ve done? After you left, my heart died with you. If even you can leave me, then what else is there for me to hold onto?"

Listening to Qian Feng’s accusations, Lin Xi fell silent, tears streaming down her face. She could only sigh, "It doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong now. We can’t go back."

"Indeed, we can’t go back, but rules are still rules." Qian Feng gave a bitter smile, wiped the tear from her eyes, then aimed her palm at Lin Xi.

"Goodbye, my dear sister."

At this moment, Gu Fan charged forward, shouting, "Stop!"

Seeing Gu Fan’s airborne kick, Qian Feng snorted, pausing Gu Fan in mid-air with a palm strike, then flung him aside with another, as if controlling him, causing Gu Fan to crash heavily onto the ground.

"Damn it!" Gu Fan quickly stood up again, gritting his teeth and charging at Qian Feng again, this time, he tried to dodge Qian Feng’s attack by moving sideways.

"Idiot, you think your small skills would work?" Qian Feng again raised her palm, another Strong Wind blew Gu Fan away.

After two failed attacks, Gu Fan was no match for Qian Feng. Qian Feng was right in front of him, yet seemed as distant as the horizon – it was impossible to get close to her.

At that moment, Gu Fan caught sight of Lin Xi’s gaze. Understanding immediately, he decided to stand up and draw Qian Feng’s attention, buying time for Lin Xi.

"Stop with your secret glances. Don’t think I don’t know what you two are planning." Qian Feng snorted coldly, then hit both Gu Fan and Lin Xi with a palm strike, sending them flying in different directions, as if deliberately separating them.

Lin Xi’s complexion was terrible after enduring the hits, but the situation looked even worse for Gu Fan, who was now coughing up blood. Yet Gu Fan didn’t give up, he struggled to stand up again. He wanted to protect Lin Xi.

"You are useless. You can’t protect Qian Ye. What right do you have to stand by her side?" Qian Feng was furious. The sight of Gu Fan grew increasingly irritating to her and she prepared to deliver a fatal blow.

"Come on, I won’t let you harm Lin Xi even if it costs me my last breath. I made that vow the day I returned to Yuxueyun Mountain." Gu Fan shouted with all his strength, a look of determination in his eyes. But his eyes dimmed the next moment, and he fell down heavily.

Seeing this scene, Lin Xi cried as she ran over. Qian Feng was also taken aback. She knew she hadn’t dealt a lethal blow, so why was Gu Fan like this?

Running over to Gu Fan, Lin Xi cried while shaking him, "Wake up, wake up! If anything happens to you, what am I going to do? How am I going to explain to Gu Ling?"

"Qian Ye, you...this..." Coming from behind, Qian Feng felt at a loss.
