Chapter 606: Beating up Pirates

Chapter 606: Chapter 606: Beating up Pirates

Gu Ling could still sense the danger, asking everyone to stay put and not leave the boat. Everyone trusted Gu Ling so they all hid in the cabin, patiently waiting for the fog to dissipate.

However, after waiting a while without hearing any footsteps and noting how serene it was outside, it was a stark contrast to their first encounter with the fog when they were being chased by something within it. It led them to wonder if Gu Ling had made a mistake this time.

But Gu Ling shook her head, indicating she could still sense the danger.

Gu Fan chose to believe in his sister and so did Lin Xi, leaving everyone with no option but to remain in the cabin.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed, along with cursing voices in the same language as the pirates. It seemed like they were heading towards the cockpit.

"What’s going on?" Everyone was unaware of what was happening when they suddenly heard a few gunshots. At once it became apparent that they were in deep trouble, probably encountering pirates again.

Gu Fan believed that the pirates had taken control of the cockpit and had probably captured the captain and the crew. Gu Fan also knew he couldn’t afford to lose the captain and crew members with navigation experience. He must rescue them.

Your English AssistantWhile Gu Fan was planning his next steps, he heard some noise outside the cabin’s door. It seemed like the pirates had found them.

With the sound of a few gunshots, the pirates tried to force open the door. Just at this critical moment, Lu Yi used her shield to protect them while Su Hui aimed her gun over Lu Yi’s shield, ready to take a shot.

The door was kicked open and two pirates rushed in. Su Hui immediately fired two shots without any hesitation. Caught off guard, the pirates were shot and fell to the ground.

Witnessing this, the remaining pirates were terrified and they instantly hid, not expecting to face such resistance.

Gu Fan and everyone else quickly took cover, fearing that they might be caught in the crossfire. Gu Fan hid behind a sofa. As it became quiet outside, he peeked out to see Su Hui, gun still aimed at the door, on high alert.

Seeing this, Gu Fan shook his head, feeling bottled up and claustrophobic in the cabin. They had to get out. He turned to look at Lin Xi, who shook her head indicating that her supernatural power hadn’t recovered much, so she couldn’t take part in the fight just yet.

Gu Fan was worried about the safety of the captain. The captain’s safety affected whether they could navigate home. Thus, Gu Fan made a decision. It was time to strike back.

Gu Fan signaled Su Hui to suppress the pirates with her gunfire while he cautiously crawled close to the wall with his taser. It was made of metal, so he decided to put it to the test.

Lin Xi naturally wanted to join in, waiting for Gu Fan’s command to assist him.

At that moment, all eyes were on Gu Fan. Taking a deep breath, he put the taser against the wall and pressed the button, electrifying the wall.

The pirates leaning against the outer wall started shivering uncontrollably. They couldn’t open their mouths; they could only make strange sounds.

"Now!" Gu Fan was ready to rush out, but Lin Xi beat him to it. She used her remaining supernatural power to create a Protective Barrier, charging out of the cabin first.

As soon as Lin Xi left the cabin, she saw three pirates on the ground, twitching. Their guns were on the floor and she didn’t see other pirates around.

Gu Fan, along with the others, also rushed out. Seeing Lin Xi safe, everyone felt relieved. They tied up the pirates, seized their weapons, and headed for the cockpit together.

By that time, the captain and crew members were crouching on the floor with their hands over their heads. Two pirates were aiming their guns at them, muttering something. Though no one understood, they could guess they were threatening them to stay put or risk getting shot in the head.

But Su Hui burst in, firing two shots which accurately hit the arms of the two pirates. The pain caused them to lose grip on their weapons, dropping them to the floor.

With the pirates disarmed, everyone rounded on them. They gave them a good beating first, then tied them up tightly.

Total seven pirates had boarded their ship and all were captured. Gu Fan asked Xioahu to identify them. Xioahu confirmed that these were not the pirates they had encountered before and he had never seen them before. Could they be from a different Pirate Gang?

However, everyone had a question - where did these pirates come from and how did they board the ship?

Upon questioning by Xioahu, under the menacing gazes and violent beatings from the group, the pirates eventually caved in and revealed everything.

Due to the fog, the pirate ship probably ran aground. To be safe, the Pirate Gang leader and several subordinates decided to go ashore, leaving seven pirates to guard the ship.

Suddenly, the pirate ship was struck violently. The pirates onboard were initially shocked, thinking that something in the fog had hit their ship. But they soon discovered it was another ship that had hit them. So these seven pirates jumped onto Gu Fan’s ship.

"So that’s how it happened. You hit a sandbar, and we collide with you. What a coincidence." Gu Fan was amused at the ironic turn of events. He then ran to the bow of the ship and confirmed that they had indeed collided with another ship. It was probably the ship they saw earlier.

Gu Fan suddenly had an idea. He asked the pirates if they had any food or drinks on their ship. If not, he threatened to throw them into the sea as shark bait. He suggested the pirates better reveal everything.

The pirates immediately nodded, affirming that they had plenty of food and drinks.

Satisfied with their response, Gu Fan took Lu Yi, Jie, Xu Haowen, and others and immediately boarded the pirate ship. After a brief exploration, they found ample provisions. Excited, they moved all the food and drinks from the pirate ship to their own.

On seeing canned meat and fruit juice, everyone was drooling. They eagerly began to consume the food. They hadn’t been able to enjoy a decent meal in a long time. Even Lin Xi, Su Hui, Qin Jia, and Gu Ling disregarded their appearance. They had to dig in quickly before the men could finish everything.

The pirates were distraught. That was their food supply for the next few days! They yelled, "Leave some for us, leave some for us."

Everyone ignored the pirates. Firstly, they were too hungry to pay attention to them. Secondly, they didn’t understand their language, so they just focused on eating.

Seeing the pleading look from the pirates, Lu Yi asked Xioahu, "What are these guys saying?"

As Xioahu was about to reply, everyone glared at him. This scared Lu Yi into silence. Xioahu didn’t answer and continued to eat.
