Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared -
Chapter 485
Chapter 485: 485
No matter how fiercely the battlefield is raging over there, Gu Fan keeps running into the woods, and finally sees a gigantic, vibrant red flower twisting, and within it, he could see the figure of a beautiful lady.
"I didn’t expect you to actually find this place." If Qian Xue and Ning Qi were already here, then the person inside the flower must be none other than Lin Xi.
"I don’t want any trouble, just let me pass." Gu Fan issued his final warning, but to Qian Xue it sounded utterly absurd: "And why should we let you pass?"
Seeing that Qian Xue didn’t take Gu Fan seriously, Ning Qi at her side kindly reminded her, "Don’t underestimate Gu Fan, Qian Xue, he is a formidable opponent. I...."
"What are you talking about? A mere mortal like him, do I have anything to fear?" Qian Xue interrupted with a derisive look in her eyes. She readied to cast a spell that would immobilize Gu Fan.
Suddenly a stone comes flying from the woods, aimed directly at Qian Xue’s head. Quick as she is, she shimmied out of the way just in time.
"What, there’s someone else?" Qian Xue managed to narrowly avoid the stone, causing her, to her dismay, to break out into a cold sweat. Looking around quickly to locate her enemy, she spotted a familiar figure darting around in the woods – It looked like Su Hui.
Taking advantage of this distraction, Gu Fan hides behind a tree, and then calls out, "Qian Xue, you indeed have some abilities. However, this place has too many obstacles, which limit your performance. You should not have chosen this place."
Qian Xue dismissed his comment: "Save your breath, if you have the guts, then come out."
Gu Fan is not so foolish to blindly rush out, instead, he decided to ramp up the pressure on Qian Xue. "Watch out, sister Qian Xue, beware that a drone doesn’t fall from the sky."
Hearing this, Qian Xue was reminded of the time she was hit on the head by a drone and immediately became apprehensive.
Ning Qi realized this was one of Gu Fan’s psychological strategies, and kindly reminded Qian Xue, "Don’t fall for it, Qian Xue, he’s just trying to mess with your head."
"I know, I don’t need you to remind me." Just as Qian Xue finished speaking, a stone flew past her, nearly startling her.
Su Hui wasn’t giving up easily, "Just missed, such a pity. I’m not very good at throwing stones. If only I had a weapon that was more to my liking."
Now Qian Xue was on high alert, and she dared not make any rash moves. She knew that both Gu Fan and Su Hui were skillful fighters. Together with the terrain advantage, she did not have the confidence to win, and could only adopt a defensive position.
Noticing that Qian Xue was under pressure, keeping a sharp lookout for any sneak attacks, Ning Qi thought for a moment, then a smile tugged at her mouth corner: "Listen well, Gu Fan, you can keep hiding if you want, but time is not on your side. Soon, Lin Xi will be completely brainwashed by us, even if you are not in a hurry, I am in a hurry for you."
"Damn it!" Gu Fan gritted his teeth, the pressure was now on him because of what Ning Qi had just said.
With no other choice, Gu Fan contacted Su Hui through his phone. The plan was for Gu Fan to rush in when the chance arises, drawing Qian Xue’s attention. Meanwhile, Su Hui would seize the moment Qian Xue was distracted and knock her down. If they were successful, that would be the best possible outcome. If they failed... well, they didn’t dare to consider the consequences.
Seeing Lin Xi’s agonized expression within the flower, Su Hui knew they didn’t have the luxury to wait any longer. Quickly, she moved from one tree to another, trying to draw Qian Xue’s attention first, and make it look like she’s gradually inching her way closer to Qian Xue.
Shortly after, Gu Fan made his move too. He started closing in on Qian Xue, hidden behind the trees, step by step, increasing the pressure on Qian Xue.
"They’re coming." Qian Xue was on edge. If Gu Fan and Su Hui attacked simultaneously, she could easily immobilize both of them with her spell, but if they coordinated, attacking at staggered intervals to catch her off guard?
Before she knew it, Ning Qi had already started moving backward, preparing to flee as soon as Qian Xue was cornered.
The time had come. Su Hui found herself getting closer to her target. As she made a high-speed dash, she hurled a stone with all her might, and issued out a light shout, a signal for Gu Fan.
Picking up on the signal, Gu Fan immediately dashed out from his hiding place, his target was solely Qian Xue.
Qian Xue was drawn to Su Hui’s shout, and seeing another stone coming her way, she instinctively dodged it. This split her focus.
Seizing this opportunity, Gu Fan sprang out, ready to pounce on her and beat her to a pulp.
However, Qian Xue was not so easily fooled. After dodging the stone, she quickly turned to cast a spell in the direction she’d expected Gu Fan to come from, thereby immobilizing an advancing Gu Fan.
"Damn, just a little bit more." Gu Fan was a mere five steps away from Qian Xue. The feeling fall short at the last minute wasn’t pleasant, and to make matters worse, Qian Xue was smirking at him, as though it was now time to put Gu Fan in his place.
"Thought I wouldn’t be able to guess your simplistic strategy?" Qian Xue scoffed dismissively, then turned to cast a spell in another direction. She reasoned that after her focus had been disrupted by a stone, Gu Fan would seize the chance to attack, and then Su Hui would follow suit.
The stone, Gu Fan, and Su Hui, with their staggered attacks, attempted to exploit the split second Qian Xue’s attention was distracted, with the intention to knock Qian Xue down.
If Gu Fan’s frontal assault wasn’t successful, at least it would’ve taken Qian Xue’s focus away. Consequently, this spelled a big opportunity for Su Hui’s side attack. However, Qian Xue, who had seen through their whole plan, had already begun casting her spell in the direction where Su Hui could potentially emerge.
But, to her surprise, Su Hui didn’t appear at her flank where she was expected to. Qian Xue’s anticipation came to nothing, then she felt a gust of wind from behind her. It was then she realized something had gone wrong. Su Hui hadn’t attacked from the side, she had chosen to attack from behind.
"Oh no!" As Qian Xue was facing danger, Ning Qi, who had been hiding on the sidelines, sprang into action. She rushed towards Su Hui’s path of attack, and with a desperate flying leap, held onto Su Hui.
"Damn!" Su Hui was held down by Ning Qi, delaying her actions and thus missing her chance to knock Qian Xue down. Frustration surged in her.
"Ha, Ning Qi, well done. I’ll remember your contribution." Qian Xue hurriedly turned to cast a spell, immobilizing Su Hui.
Gu Fan couldn’t move, nor could Su Hui. They were just standing there like wooden dolls, while Qian Xue’s laughter rang out triumphantly. "Two on two, you can’t say it’s not fair. If you resent anyone, resent yourselves for underestimating Ning Qi."
Gu Fan glanced questioningly at Ning Qi, and Ning Qi responded with indifference. What’s been done was done and she had firmly sided with the Shennv Xuanhui.
"Alright, it’s game over for you guys. You can’t save Qian Ye, and you can’t save yourselves either." As Qian Xue let out these final words, she started building up her supernatural power to make Gu Fan and Su Hui unconscious. "Although your relentless efforts are regrettable, I am sorry but your efforts are doomed to be in vain. Say goodbye to Qian Ye as you know him now."
