Several hours later, Lin Xi woke up on a beach, her head still heavy and groggy, feeling uncomfortable. As she finally managed to regain her senses, she saw the unfamiliar surroundings and, remembering the events that had transpired, became instantly alert.

Du Jun assured Lin Xi that her parents had already been sent home safely and that she could head back to the university as it was nearly dawn anyway. Furthermore, she had been staying at the dormitory for the past few days, so her parents wouldn’t suspect her absence. It would be more suspicious if Lin Xi suddenly returned home.

Lin Xi accepted Du Jun’s suggestion. After returning to the university, it was almost dawn, and she had spent the entire previous night in turmoil. Once she got back to her dorm, she decided to skip her classes and sleep, pondering what harm this sleeplessness might cause to her skin.

As for the others; Gu Fan, Lu Yi, Jie were all asleep, they all collectively skipped classes for the day. Even Su Hui had taken a day off because she simply couldn’t hold on any longer.

They slept from morning till the afternoon. When Lin Xi woke up, it was already dark. Gu Fan was hurrying around, hoping that such nights wouldn’t come often; otherwise, the stress would be unbearable.

Assuming everyone was well-rested by now, Gu Fan called Lin Xi. Worry tinted his question: "How are you, my beauty? Feeling better now?"

Lin Xi instantly replied: "Much better. Do you know who I am? I am not an ordinary woman. What about you? Did you get injured last night? Need me to treat you?"

Lin Xi informed him about the night’s events, stating that Qian Feng had actually won. Qian Feng probably showed mercy due to their past relationship. However, Qian Feng hadn’t declared the fight had ended, implying that she might trouble Lin Xi again.

"Please convey my thanks to everyone. I am grateful to Su Hui, Lu Yi, Jie, Gu ling, and Qin Jia for risking their lives to help me last night. I will never forget their kindness. Knowing these people truly makes my life worthwhile," Lin Xi expressed her heartfelt gratitude.

Gu Fan chuckled, "Don’t forget, who was it that stayed behind until the end to buy us time to escape when we were on the floating island? That’s what friends do."
