Because Yang Xinran’s boyfriend had driven away with Ning Qi, Xu Haowen hadn’t been able to call a taxi, but he remembered the license plate number, which would serve as a sort of explanation.

Lin Xi curiously asked,"Why? Looking for a reference from my relationship with Gu Fan, to compare with yours and your boyfriend’s?"

Yang Xinran nodded slightly in confirmation and said, "We are roommates, you would help me out, right? You would share your secret with me, right?"

"Sure, why not." Lin Xi thought that, as roommates, if this could improve their relationship, it was worth trying. One of the hardest things in life was turning an enemy into a friend. Plus, Lin Xi didn’t want to see Yang Xinran get hurt due to their shared enmity.

The first time around, though Yang Xinran’s deception against Lin Xi was wrong, it was Yang Xinran who had been abducted by people from the old town, which had nearly resulted in her untimely death.
