"My god, are women so violent nowadays? My back! Don’t women know how to be gentle and virtuous anymore? My back!" Gu Fan winced as though his body were falling apart and kept asking Gu Ling to massage his shoulders.

Gu Ling mocked him while attending to his needs, "Brother, you really are hopeless. You lost to two women today. With Sister Lin Xi being so formidable, I doubt you can ever show your face in front of women again."

Upon hearing this, Gu Fan was instantly displeased. "You little twerp, is that how you talk to your own brother?"

Lu Yi also chimed in, "Who would have thought this woman would be so strong. We were outnumbering her yet none of us could beat her. Even Sister Su had a hard time, I nearly got bashed into a pulp."

"Exactly, never met anyone so formidable before, almost as powerful as the boss," Jie commented, rubbing his shoulders. The pain was intense and it was unbelievable how strong that woman had been.

This intrigued Gu Ling, "Who are you guys talking about when you say ’the boss’?"

"Ah, well...it’s..." They were unsure how to explain it to Gu Ling. Thankfully, Su Hui interrupted, "I have a feeling there’s more to this. Similar incidents have happened twice before, and this is the third time."

After detailing the previous two incidents, Gu Fan, Gu Ling, Lu Yi, and Jie were taken aback.

In response, Lu Yi was the first to put forth a theory, "Could it be that when people are pushed to their limits, their fury ignites causing a burst of extreme strength, especially when it’s a woman who’s enraged?"

Gufan shook his head, "That’s not possible. Even in a fit of rage, a woman can’t overpower a man physically. When defeat is imminent, their fury will vanish under the shadow of fear."

Turned out Su Hui agreed with Gu Fan, "I concur. This incident isn’t as straightforward as it seems."

"This serves as a warning to you men, never infuriate a woman, or bear the brutal consequences." Gu Ling proudly teased them, leaving Gu Fan embarrassed. Who could he bully now that both Su Hui and Lin Xi were so strong?

"Alright, let’s not overthink this. Let’s visit the hospital then heading home." On Su Hui’s suggestion, they went to the hospital to assess their injuries. There was nothing serious, but they would be in pain for a few days.

Soon, Lin Xi heard about Gu Fan’s injuries and quickly came over, saying, "Why visit the hospital when you have me?"

Hearing this, everyone had a glimmer of hope. All eyes, including Su Hui’s, were fixed on Lin Xi, anticipating her to work her magic.

Curious, Gu Ling wondered if Lin Xi could actually help them alleviate their pain. Could it be that she was exceptionally skilled in some lost medical techniques?

Due to Gu Fan and Lin Xi’s relationship, Gu Fan naturally thought he would be attended to first. What he didn’t expect was Lin Xi choosing to tend to Su Hui first, remarking, "Naturally, ladies first."

Gu Fan had no retort. As a man, he didn’t want to quarrel about it. Besides, it was only right to respect the ladies first, he hoped he would be next. However, he wished Lin Xi would hurry, he was in so much pain.

To keep Gu Ling in the dark, Lin Xi intentionally rubbed Su Hui’s injuries with medicinal wine while secretly using her qi to heal her, making it seem like she was merely practicing medicine.

But Lin Xi wondered, "Sister Su, with your skills and help from Gu Fan and Lu Yi, how did you get injured? Did they hold you back?"

Shaking her head with a bitter smile, Su Hui replied, "No, they didn’t mess up this time. Without them, I would have lost worse. I encountered a woman who was stronger than me."

Hearing this, Lin Xi couldn’t believe it, "What, there’s someone out there whose combat prowess surpasses yours, Sister Su? I can’t believe it!"

"I used to think I was quite remarkable, but after encountering such an opponent today, I have to admit defeat," sighed Su Hui. Being beaten by a stronger contender filled her with a bitter taste.

Seeing her low spirit, Gu Fan quickly stepped in to offer comfort, "Strictly speaking, you didn’t lose, Sister Su. You were the one who stopped her. You won. We all failed collectively at the beginning, but at the end, you defeated her single-handedly. You’re the winner."

"Really?" Su Hui felt a bit more convinced after mulling over Gu Fan’s words.

Lin Xi was astonished, "What! All of you men couldn’t defeat a single woman? Even Sister Su had a big loss? Is that woman really that strong?"

"More than just strong, she looked so delicate and frail at first. But suddenly, she erupted with anger and thrashed the scumbag ruthlessly, she was practically beating him to death," Lu Yi remarked. Before anyone could add on, Jie quickly chimed in, "Worst, she was completely inconsiderate! We tried to intervene and were beaten up mercilessly. It’s only at the end when Sister Su defeated her that she pretended to be pitiful, claiming she couldn’t remember a thing and refusing to admit she had beaten anyone."

"What?" Lin Xi was surprised, she pressed on, "Can you tell me more about what happened, as specific as possible?"

Noticing Lin Xi’s demeanor, Su Hui knitted her brows, "Lin Xi, do you know something?"

Lin Xi hesitated for a moment before quickly shaking her head, "No, I don’t. I just wish to learn more details about what happened to help you guys strategize."

"Really?" Su Hui creased her brows as if she suspected Lin Xi. Lin Xi managed to maintain a calm facade, not letting Su Hui suspect anything.

Since Lin Xi wasn’t forthcoming, Su Hui did not press her. One after another, everyone received Lin Xi’s healing energy, their pains rapidly eased, and in no time they all returned to their normal energetic states.

"Can’t believe it!" exclaimed Gu Ling, who was awe-struck. She had never seen anyone heal injuries so rapidly before. She deeply admired Lin Xi and marveled at her, and how amazing their future sister-in-law was.

"Well, my job here is done. I’m heading home now," Lin Xi declared, and then waved her goodbye, even rejecting Gu Fan’s offer to escort her home.

Once she left the house and was alone, Lin Xi felt an overwhelming unease. She couldn’t help but reflect on the incident that Su Hui, Gu Fan, and the others had recounted from the boxing club. Imagining the whole sequence of events, she found it hard to believe that a weak and delicate woman could suddenly transform into a formidable powerhouse. Something was amiss.
