"Damn it, this is infuriating!" With rage, Du Changhui picked up anything he could find and threw it, venting his frustrations as everyone stood back and watched.

Unexpectedly, something Du Changhui threw hit something and triggered a mechanism, opening a secret door.

"What?" Everyone was stunned. They quickly pulled out their flashlights to illuminate the area and cautiously approached the door, not daring to act rashly.

Noticing everyone’s hesitant movements and fear of what might lie behind the secret door, Du Changhui decided to be brave. Thinking that he had nothing more to lose in this dire situation, he boldly strode forward, becoming the first to enter the opened chamber.

"Dad! Wait up, will you?" Du Jun tried to stop him, but it was too late. Du Changhui had already entered, and the rest of them quickly followed.

The chamber was unremarkable, filled with objects resembling hibernation pods, which left everyone confused as to their purpose.

At that moment, the holographic projection appeared again. The purple-haired woman abruptly stood before them, startling everyone by her sudden appearance.

Lu Yi couldn’t help complaining, "I say, sister, could you not stage these surprise attacks? My heart can’t take it."

The purple-haired woman calmly stated, "I am here to remind you that someone has activated the self-destruct device. This place will soon be destroyed. You’d better run."

"It means this place will explode. If you don’t leave soon, you’ll be blown away and disappear along with this place. Have I made myself clear?" The purple-haired woman’s words, devoid of emotion, sent a wave of panic through the crowd.

Gu Fan asked, "How much time do we have?"

"Only ten minutes." The purple-haired woman’s words felt like a heavy blow to everyone’s morale. Even a day wouldn’t be enough time to escape this massive place, let alone ten minutes.

The alarm blared, signaling that the place was on the brink of destruction, filling everyone with despair.

Seeing Gu Fan and the others losing hope, the purple-haired woman asked, "Don’t you have any questions for me?"

"What do you mean?" Everyone was puzzled. Given their dire circumstances, there seemed to be no relevant questions to ask.

Gu Fan pondered for a moment then asked, "You mentioned that someone activated the self-destruct device. How did they do it? They shouldn’t have known which device is the self-destruct one."

To this, the purple-haired woman said indifferently, "He asked me, so I told him."

At her words, everyone seemed bemused, "No way. You actually revealed something so dangerous?"

The purple-haired woman responded, "My duty is to answer any questions from those who enter here. I respond to what is asked."

"So, if we asked you earlier about the location of the immortality-related item, would you have told us?" No sooner had Lu Yi asked his question than the purple-haired woman nodded, "Of course, but you didn’t ask."

"Are you serious? How were we supposed to know you would be so forthcoming?" Once again, everyone was caught between laughter and tears. They realized that things could have been a lot simpler, but they had complicated matters unnecessarily.

Having understood this, Gu Fan immediately asked, "Is there anyway to stop the self-destruction?"

"Once initiated, the self-destruction cannot be stopped." The purple-haired woman’s response shattered everyone’s hope once again.

"Is there really no way?" Despair hung heavy in everyone’s hearts.

The purple-haired woman added, "The person who activated the self-destruct device asked me to find you and help you escape. Aren’t you going to ask me how to leave safely?"

"Why didn’t you say that earlier?" Everyone immediately perked up, inquiring urgently about the exit.

Following the purple-haired woman’s direction, a second hidden door opened, "This passage leads to a safe escape route. However, it will take time to reach it and you have already wasted a lot of it. You may not be able to make it."

"What nonsense, you should have mentioned it earlier." Everyone sprung into action, rushing into the secret tunnel. Even knowing it was potentially too late, they had to try.

The purple-haired woman answered, "This is an ancient Super Civilization self-destruction device. It’s powered by a certain type of supernatural power. You also possess supernatural power which can delay the self-destruction, however, you would have to stay here to cast a spell."

"I understand, can you confirm whether or not they can escape safely at their current speed?" After Lin Xi finished speaking, he looked seriously at the purple-haired woman.

At that, the purple-haired woman shook her head, "I’m sorry, but according to my calculations, unless you can delay the explosion for five minutes, not a single one of them will make it out."

"Fine, I will stay and buy you five minutes. Hurry up." Lin Xi’s gaze was resolute. He started to cast a spell and felt the flow of supernatural power around the place, exerting his control to the maximum in a bid to delay the self-destruction.

"Lin Xi, you..." Gu Fan was worried. Leaving Lin Xi behind felt unbearably wrong.
