Due to the avalanche, the mouth of the cave got blocked. Gu Fan, being the man of the group, started to dig through the snow in a doggy-paddle way only to find that there was no sign of clearing, and his own hands were getting freezing cold.

"You’re such a dud, let me do it." said Lin Xi before pushing out a wave that blasted the covering snow apart, letting the sunlight shine in.

Seeing this, Gu Fan almost rolled his eyes, "You could have used that move earlier, look at how tired I got just now."

"You’re a man; I had to give you a bit of dignity and not steal your thunder. I didn’t expect you to be so useless." Lin Xi said rising past Gu Fan. Due to the narrow terrain, their faces were practically touching.

"Alright, alright, you’re awesome. I acknowledge it." Gu Fan groaned as he crawled out. He looked around him. Everything was covered in snow, but it was a completely different scene.

Lin Xi, Gu Fan, and Leng Le were the first ones to climb out. They were looking for survivors, but where could they be?

At that moment, Lin Xi had almost exhausted her supernatural power, and she couldn’t detect life fluctuations. She was getting anxious.

Just then, a snow slider burst through the snow layer, followed by a hand reaching out. Ouyang Jin managed to break free, swearing in the process, "This job is too risky, I need a raise."

After hearing him, Gu Fan lost all desire to help him out and sighed secretly. Ouyang Jin was still seeking profits regardless of the dangerous situation they were in.

When Ouyang Jin climbed out, he looked at Gu Fan as if he were a long-lost family member and looked like he wanted to hug him.

"That’s enough, stop messing around. Who else was with you?" asked Gu Fan, being most concerned about this. Then, he saw Xu Haowen and old man Tian also crawl out. Despite the harried expressions on their faces, they were fortunately unharmed.

Even old man Tian, who grew up in the nearby area and had been to Yuxueyun Mountain several times, had never experienced an avalanche. The way the world seemed to cave in on them had taken a toll on him, and he was looking a little pale.

"Alright, let’s find the others." Gu Fan began to call out, hoping for a response as he walked around.

But after receiving no response for a long time, Gu Fan became increasingly anxious. He prayed over and over, "Sister Su, Lu Yi, Jie, please, you guys have to be okay."

The moment he saw a hand emerge from the snow, his heart leaped with joy. He immediately beckoned the others and darted over as fast as he could. Any one of them surviving would give him hope.

Gu Fan, Xu Haowen, and Ouyang Jin then started to dig the snow from around the hand, shoveling and scrapping with great effort. When they finally got the person out, and saw it was a villager from the ancient town, they couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

However, there were quite a few people who had managed to take shelter in that snow tunnel. As each one crawled out, Gu Fan was thrilled to see Lu Yi among them and excitedly took him into a hug.

"I know, I am happy to see you too." Lu Yi felt the friendship emanating from Gu Fan. However, before he could react, Gu Fan tossed him aside to let Ouyang Jin and Xu Haowen pummel ’the doomsayer’.

"Seriously, you change your tune so fast?" Lu Yi never dreamed he would be treated this way and had no choice but to exchange blows with Ouyang Jin and Xu Haowen.

The snow tunnel was hiding about a dozen people including Ning Qi who looked pretty shaken at the moment. Her face was pale, but she laughed the moment she saw Gu Fan.

Suddenly, someone broke through the snow and stood up. He didn’t look too well but seemed unharmed. It was Zhuo Hang.

When the group went over, they found Su Hui was also fine. She got up and dusted off the snow on her.

"Great to know you’re fine too, Sister Su; it’s fantastic!" Lu Yi jumped for joy while Su Hui merely gave him a polite smile. She then turned her attention to Zhuo Hang.

Just then, the group heard cries for help from underground and quickly abandoned Su Hui and Zhuo Hang to rush and help out the remaining people. Knowing that Su Hui and Zhuo Hang were safe was enough at the moment.

Gu Fan noticed that the way Su Hui was looking at Zhuo Hang was a bit off. He then realized that Zhuo Hang and Su Hui were not in the snow tunnel dug out by the snow monster; in fact, they seemed to be lying outside, directly exposed to the avalanche.

Gu Fan quickly dismissed the thought, thinking it impossible for any living being to survive the avalanche outside. Considering Zhuo Hang and Su Hui hadn’t suffered any injuries; it seemed even more unbelievable.

However, one question lingered in his mind; where had Zhuo Hang disappeared to earlier and why did he suddenly reappear, buried in the snow along with Su Hui?

At that moment, Zhuo Hang was also facing Su Hui’s scrutinizing gaze, so he chuckled awkwardly saying, "Well, you’re fine. Let’s go help the others."

Su Hui merely nodded and walked away, seemingly uninterested in engaging him in any conversation. She clearly remembered what had happened earlier. As the avalanche approached, she found no hiding place and thought she was done for. Just then, Zhuo Hang appeared out of nowhere, embraced her, and shielded her beneath him. He bore the brunt of the avalanche’s impact, miraculously managing to survive.

Su Hui knew very well that it’s not something an ordinary person could do, but she chose not to question it.

Eventually, the survivors started to emerge one by one. Du Jun, Du Changhui, Qin Jia, Luo Jingrong–they all were lucky to be alive. The fatalities were mostly townsfolk and big bosses. Those who came with Du Changhui were lucky as their entire crew made it.

As soon as a way out of the avalanche was made, Hai hurriedly led his men to retreat, not even sparing a glance at Jie.

When Jie emerged, he looked at the retreating figures, someone tall and burly among them seemed very familiar. He wanted to call out and confirm when suddenly Lu Yi and Gu Fan both jumped him.

"Fantastic, this is fantastic! Everyone’s alive; it’s so good to be alive." All important companions present and accounted for, Gu Fan was so overjoyed he nearly planted a kiss on Jie.

Jie was also elated to see that everyone was safe and sound, so he didn’t ponder over who that tall, burly man was.

Right then, old man Tian observed the scene, stunned as he saw Gu Fan, Lu Yi and Jie celebrating their fortune. He couldn’t believe that every one of them had survived, it was nothing short of a miracle.

Ouyang Jin trotted over and commented through his grin, "Old man, we’ve faced many dangers on our adventures outside, but we all managed to come back alive, not a single man down. I don’t know why, but I always feel that there’s a special aura around Gu Fan that helps us navigate through tough times. Having him around, though, does mean trouble."

After hearing these words, Lin Xi, who was on the side, fell into deep thought and started to ponder over Gu Fan’s fate.
