Chapter 1656: Chapter 1656: 3 Remoulded Persons
With supernatural power enhancing her, Ning Qi’s speed kept increasing. After running a short distance, she caught up with Gu Fan.
However, Gu Fan seemed to have anticipated this. He abruptly stopped, rotated fiercely, grabbed Ning Qi’s collar, and executed a shoulder throw, hurling Ning Qi brutally into the distance.
"Bastard!" Ning Qi never expected Gu Fan to counterattack so quickly. She cursed herself for rushing in recklessly.
Now Ning Qi only felt the world spin around her as she lost balance. She immediately cast a spell, allowing herself to hover mid-air and avoid crashing heavily onto the ground.
However, while Ning Qi could fly, Gu Fan could fly too. He accelerated, ramming directly into Ning Qi, using a rough collision to once again send her flying.
"Damn it!" Ning Qi staggered back from the impact, unable to control her backward trajectory, all while enduring immense pain throughout her body.
Before Ning Qi could regain her footing, Gu Fan charged at her again. This time, he sent her flying even further, their heads colliding with the intensity of a comet striking Earth.
This method of fighting was unsustainable. Ning Qi quickly shouted for her subordinates to come help.
The first to rush over was Pan Dun. Despite his plump figure, he was remarkably agile, running at an incredible speed, resembling an unstoppable small mountain charging forward.
Gu Fan didn’t take it seriously. No matter how capable, he was merely one of Ning Qi’s subordinates—surely a single punch could deal with him.
But Pan Dun soon taught Gu Fan the consequence of underestimating an opponent. His soft, cushion-like layers of fat surprisingly absorbed much of the punch’s force.
"What the hell!" It was the first time Gu Fan had encountered such a peculiar opponent, and he was utterly shocked.
What’s more terrifying, Pan Dun’s thick layers of fat generated an intense rebound force after being struck, directly shattering Gu Fan’s entire arm.
Gu Fan felt excruciating pain, but he gritted his teeth hard, his face contorting from the agony, sweat dripping from his forehead.
"Who do you think you are!" Pan Dun slapped Gu Fan directly across the face, leaving him dazed and disoriented once again.
At that moment, a dark-skinned figure leaped forward, wielding an iron chain he swung with a whistle. It coiled tightly around Gu Fan’s neck and held fast.
Gu Fan felt immense discomfort in his throat, gasping for air, as if suffocating. He tried to rip off the chain around his neck but found the chain unnervingly strong.
"The Demon Refining Island Base isn’t a place you can just barge into." A wild-looking man charged aggressively, raining punches on Gu Fan like a torrential storm, pummeling his body relentlessly.
In just moments, Gu Fan’s body was covered in numerous bruises and broken bones. Even with Vajra Body Protection and astonishing recovery abilities, he felt overwhelmed.
Priority was to deal with the chain around his neck first. Gu Fan gripped the chain tightly and pulled with all his might, causing the dark-skinned warrior to lose his balance.
This reduced the pressure on Gu Fan’s neck significantly. He then punched the wild-looking man squarely in the head, forcing him to retreat.
Taking advantage of the brief opening, Gu Fan finally managed to unshackle the chain from around his neck, taking a deep breath of relief. But just then, he was attacked simultaneously by Pan Dun and Ning Qi from the front and back.
"Damn it, Ning Qi! If you don’t want to die, get the hell away from me!" Enraged, Gu Fan jumped high, pressing one hand firmly on Pan Dun’s head before forcing him off balance and to the ground.
With Pan Dun’s weight combined with Gu Fan’s strength, the impact against the floor was immense. Yet the ground didn’t show even a single crack—it was incredibly sturdy.
Ning Qi and the wild-looking man launched a joint assault. A graceful palm strike intertwined with fierce rain-like punches made for a seamless, coordinated attack.
"You bastards..." Gu Fan tried to defend himself but couldn’t manage. He was no match for their combined force, resembling a mere punching bag being battered mercilessly. Soon, he became completely incoherent, unable to distinguish north from south.
Facing Ning Qi one-on-one, Gu Fan already struggled. Now being pitted against four, there was no way he could withstand it.
When Gu Fan was slammed to the ground, Pan Dun shamelessly sat on his back, nearly breaking Gu Fan’s spine.
"How does it feel? Now you know my power." Ning Qi pressed a foot against Gu Fan’s head, her expression gleaming with smugness. After so many years, she had finally gotten the chance to subjugate Gu Fan beneath her foot.
Poor Gu Fan, pinned under Pan Dun, felt as if an entire mountain was weighing down on him. He couldn’t move and had no choice but to endure their humiliation.
The dark-skinned warrior immediately asked for instructions: should they chop Gu Fan up? After all, intruding on the Demon Refining Island Base demanded consequences.
Ning Qi gave a helpless laugh, "If killing him were really that easy, everything would’ve been resolved long ago."
The others didn’t fully comprehend Ning Qi’s words but sensed that this intruder was far from ordinary. The wild-looking man suggested they strip off the intruder’s mask to reveal his true identity.
"Sure, go ahead. But when you see his face, don’t let it scare you silly." Ning Qi casually joked, yet her words emanated a cold killing intent that made both the wild-looking man and the dark-skinned warrior uneasy.
At that moment, Gu Fan spoke up, "Hey, big guy sitting on me, haven’t you had enough? While I’m still willing to forgive you for earlier, get off me right now!"
"What?" Pan Dun scoffed, throwing a punch straight at Gu Fan’s head, emphasizing that there was no room for negotiation.
Ning Qi had intended to mock the situation, but then she noticed a sharp glint flicker in Gu Fan’s eyes, sending chills down her spine instantly.
Suddenly, a thunderous explosion erupted from Gu Fan’s body, the shockwaves earth-shaking and deafening.
The dark-skinned warrior and wild-looking man tried to retreat but were too late—the explosion swept over them, injuring both, while chunks of bloody flesh splattered across their faces.
Pan Dun let out a pained howl as his fatty flesh was torn apart, blood and flesh flying everywhere, painting a gruesome scene.
Elsewhere, Gu Fan fared no better, his body shattered into four or five fragmented pieces, most of it mangled beyond recognition.
Pan Dun was finished, yet Gu Fan could regenerate, reconstructing his flesh and standing back up to confront the horrified Ning Qi, wild-looking man, and dark-skinned warrior. His piercing, domineering gaze seemed to ask: who’s next?
"You really came up with this trick?" Ning Qi scoffed indifferently, pointing behind Gu Fan. She chuckled and said, "Don’t think you’ve won yet."
Confused, Gu Fan turned to look. What he saw left him stupefied—Pan Dun was back on his feet, his fatty exterior peeling off like mud, gradually revealing a tall, muscular physique along with a handsome face.
"What the hell, is this even human?" Gu Fan stared in disbelief, finally understanding why people said every "fat guy" is a hidden goldmine.
