Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 1557: Still Wrong

Chapter 1557: Chapter 1557: Still Wrong

"Scram!" Lin Yue flung Gu Fan’s hand away and then strode forward with large steps.

From the roar of Lin Yue, Gu Fan could feel the hatred; it seemed incredibly difficult to obtain Lin Yue’s forgiveness.

However, for Lin Xi’s sake, Gu Fan was still tolerating Lin Yue everywhere he could.

The sounds of killing around them gradually weakened, more and more bodies lay on the ground, screams of utter despair and agony filled the air, occasionally mixed with sobbing, as if the battlefield was a living hell.

Gu Fan couldn’t help sighing; neither side could completely eradicate the other, and the battle would continue like this, with today’s slaughter only extending the cycle of hatred.

Just at this moment, Mo Yun’s outcry caught Gu Fan’s attention. He immediately turned his head to look, and was immediately struck with fear.

The hunters alone could not break through the Demonic Qi, but when joined by Lin Yue, the combined forces of two generations of Jian Shen descendants unleashed an incredibly sharp Jian Qi, dispersing the terrifying Demonic Qi completely.

Struck by the attack, Mo Yun’s entire being was sent flying, her complexion slightly unsightly; however, she didn’t seem injured in the slightest.

"Two against one, two men against a woman, isn’t that a bit unfair?" Gu Fan stood by without rushing to intervene, because the battle between the two parties wouldn’t come to an end that quickly.

Neither the hunter nor Lin Yue paid him any mind as they continued to brandish their swords towards Mo Yun. An intense fight ensued, with Demonic Qi and Jian Qi clashing violently.

Gu Fan watched the battlefield closely, thinking of intervening at the critical moments to prevent any serious injuries.

"If I’m not mistaken, you’re Gu Fan," Lie Shou walked over with a look of pleading for help: "Theoretically, your purpose for coming here is the same as ours, so please help us hold the line."

What Lie Shou naturally meant was to protect the magic law and buy more time.

But Gu Fan didn’t take it seriously, his gaze constantly fixed on Mo Yun, ready to step in if she was in danger.

Seeing Gu Fan’s attitude, Lie Shou was instantly displeased and urged again: "Are you here to help us, or to help Organization X?"

Gu Fan didn’t appreciate Lie Shou’s tone either and replied lightly: "I’ve come to deal with Organization X, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be helping you. My answer is very clear, isn’t it?"

Hearing this, Lie Shou became angry, but was helpless — after all, Gu Fan’s strength was above his own.

Failing to secure assistance, Lie Shou changed the subject: "If I’m not mistaken, you and I practice the same Martial Arts called Vajra Body Protection."

"Oh, you understand it too?" Gu Fan became interested, curiously sizing up Lie Shou.

Lie Shou nodded in confirmation: "Yes, I also practice this secret technique, but the real name of the technique is not Vajra Body Protection, it’s Immortal Body, and what you call Vajra Body Protection is merely the tip of the iceberg."

To be so powerful with just a little knowledge, if one were to master it entirely, that would be incredible. Gu Fan adopted an eager-to-learn attitude: "May I ask if you know where I can find the complete version of the Immortal Body?"

Lie Shou smiled slightly, his expression full of meaningful depth, as if he was not eager to reveal more.

Gu Fan instantly understood that Lie Shou was deliberately playing coy, so he put on an indifferent façade, waved his hand, and signaled that the other party could leave.

Lie Shou knew that Gu Fan was feigning disinterest, but the thing was, without Gu Fan asking for it, Lie Shou couldn’t just offer up the secret script of Martial Arts, so Lie Shou had no choice but to walk away with understanding.

However, Gu Fan couldn’t help but look back and thought to himself, if he could really get his hands on the complete Immortal Body secret manual, wouldn’t that be a further consolidation of his strength?

Suddenly, a gunshot brought Gu Fan back to his senses, and he witnessed a horrifying scene—Mo Yun was hit by a wooden bullet. Although the bullet had fortuitously not hit her heart, it still affected her movement.

The hunter and Lin Yue seized the opportunity, each striking Mo Yun with a sword, causing her blood to burst forth instantly.

But Mo Yun was exceptionally strong; leveraging her vampire physique, the bleeding from her wounds quickly stopped. She retaliated with a palm strike carrying an overpowering Demonic Qi, hitting the hunter so hard that it not only pierced through his body but also sent him flying.

The hunter’s Jian Qi was unique, capable of penetrating a vampire’s body and affecting a vampire’s physique.

However, the Demonic Qi on Mo Yun’s body provided a good defense against special Jian Qi, which allowed her to rapidly launch a counterattack beyond the hunter’s expectations.

One palm strike was not enough; Mo Yun pursued her advantage with a second strike, determined not to give the hunter any chance to recover.

Irina continued to shoot, with wooden bullets whistling through the air, but Mo Yun, moving swiftly, managed to evade them all.

"Damn it, stop!" Irina wanted to keep shooting, but Gu Fan stopped her, hoping Irina would not do so. If by chance a wooden bullet hit Mo Yun’s heart, it would be troublesome.

Immediately Irina became infuriated: "What do you mean, Gu Fan? Do you have to be so foolish? Mo Yun wants to kill you, and yet you keep backing down. Regardless of how much you owed her in the past, you’ve done enough to make it right."

"I know, but I still want to try," Gu Fan still wasn’t ready to give up on Mo Yun, especially considering how Mo Yun’s attack on Lin Yue was halted by Gu Fan’s shout.

While Gu Fan was trying to convince Irina and wanted to handle the matter himself, the situation started spiraling out of control.

The hunter and Lin Yue collaborated once more, overwhelming Mo Yun, which forced her to retreat step by step until it seemed she was about to be defeated.

At a critical moment, Lin Yue’s eagerness for victory led to his attacks being too rapid, creating an opening, which Mo Yun seized upon.

Mo Yun, going all out, repelled the hunter’s treasured sword with her Demonic Qi, then with one hand deflected Lin Yue’s offense and with the other hand reached for Lin Yue’s heart. Her sharp claws easily ripped through Lin Yue’s flesh.

Lin Yue only felt five fingers piercing his heart like spikes, realizing instantly that his life was in danger, his whole body turning cold.

Just then, Gu Fan shouted, "Wait, master! Please show mercy!"

Hearing Gu Fan’s shout, Mo Yun hesitated, and her striking hand came to a halt.

In that moment, Lin Yue retaliated, grabbing Mo Yun’s arms to restrain her, while at the same time unleashing his Jian Qi up close, targeting Mo Yun’s Demonic Qi.

"This is bad!" Mo Yun sensed the dire turn of events. The threat was not Lin Yue, but the hunter coming from behind, his several strikes of Jian Qi transforming into Jian Gang and slashing down.

Gu Fan immediately sprang into action; with his speed, in theory, he should have been able to come to Mo Yun’s rescue in time.

However, at the sound of a gunshot, Irina launched a sneak attack from behind, her bullet striking Gu Fan’s leg. Just as Gu Fan stepped forward, he lost his balance and fell forward, now completely unable to make it in time.

"I’m sorry, Gu Fan. You don’t know how many of my friends Mo Yun has killed—I can’t let her go. Please forgive me." Irina’s expression was detached.
