Inside a room of the Tower of Darkness, Lu Yi and Ouyang Jin were confined together. They paced back and forth in the limited space, surrounded by walls, feeling utterly bored.

Lu Yi couldn’t help but sigh, "Now our only hope is Gu Fan. If he can’t handle Organization X, we might never get out. I suddenly miss home."

Ouyang Jin also showed a pessimistic attitude, "Next time Gu Fan decides to venture out, can’t you just hold him back? That way, you wouldn’t have to drag me along."

"Don’t say that. It’s because we ventured out that we met you. This is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter." Lu Yi had just finished speaking when he noticed Ouyang Jin shaking his head, sighing, "This kind of encounter that drags me down with you, I don’t want it at all."

Lu Yi comforted him: "Come on, buddy, you’ve been through so much with us. Haven’t we always come back safely? Don’t you trust Gu Fan?"

The room door opened, and Catherine walked in with several people. Initially, she looked displeased and carried a murderous look, but then she saw Lu Yi and Ouyang Jin wrestling on the floor in an unseemly manner, which instantly made the atmosphere awkward.

Feeling embarrassed, Lu Yi and Ouyang Jin quickly got up and let out a nervous laugh.

Catherine decided to ignore them and ordered her subordinates to take Ouyang Jin away. She also waved a whip, making a threatening gesture.

"Hold on, this has nothing to do with me." Ouyang Jin, unable to resist the strength of two vampires, was taken away.

"Damn it, I knew nothing good would happen being locked up with a doomsayer like you." Ouyang Jin’s frustrated yell confused Lu Yi.

Lu Yi glanced at the unfriendly-looking Catherine and then at Ouyang Jin’s panicked expression as he was led away, feeling that something might have happened between the two.

Then, the vampires took Ouyang Jin to a fairly elegantly decorated room and threw him onto a comfortable bed before leaving.

Ouyang Jin still hadn’t grasped what was going on when he saw Catherine enter. Her somber face looked like she was out for revenge.

"Wait a minute, listen to me, that night..." Before Ouyang Jin could finish, Catherine cracked her whip, hitting near Ouyang Jin’s feet, frightening him into trembling.

Catherine let out a cold scoff, "The thing I hate most in my life is men deceiving women’s feelings. You’ve deceived not only my feelings but also my body."

Ouyang Jin edged back while responding, "How did I deceive your feelings? You mistook me for Gu Fan."

Catherine grew angrier and loudly questioned, "If you weren’t pretending to be Gu Fan, why would I think you were him?"

"How was I to know that pretending to be Gu Fan would lead you to throw yourself at me? I was also confused at that moment." Ouyang Jin shifted the blame to Catherine, which infuriated her. She gritted her teeth and said, "You still dare to argue? Prepare to die."

Ouyang Jin hurriedly shouted, "Wait, it was Gu Fan who asked me to impersonate him, it’s not my fault, you should settle accounts with Gu Fan."

"You’ve done something wrong, yet you’re trying to escape your responsibility." Catherine was furious and had already drawn her gun, aiming it at Ouyang Jin.

Ouyang Jin immediately admitted his mistake: "I’m sorry, it’s my fault, please give me one more chance."

"I’ll give you what chance." Just as Catherine was about to shoot, suddenly her delicate body trembled, a feeling of relief as if emancipating her body and spirit to a sublimation.

Only Catherine knew that the relief she felt was due to a curse on her body being lifted by touch, and the person who brought this change could only be Ouyang Jin, who recently had that kind of encounter with her.

Time passed, and just when Lu Yi was extremely worried, the door opened, and then Ouyang Jin walked in with a stunned look on his face.
