"That won’t work, and neither will this. Aren’t you the lucky one, Li?" Gu Fan looked at him expectantly, but Li expressed that this time his luck might not be of any use.

Watching the trucks drive away, Li’s expression sagged in defeat, while Gu Fan put on a bit of an act.

"Alright, let’s just pack up and head back. We’ve got nothing else to do here," Li said listlessly, turning to walk back.

Gu Fan also appeared downhearted, secretly thrilled inside, because the real show was about to begin.

Just when Li thought they were going to return without achieving anything, he turned a corner in the street and was dumbstruck to see those very trucks parked at another hotel. He was flabbergasted.

Gu Fan too put on a look of surprise, "Oh my god, they aren’t leaving—they’re just moving to another place to stay?"

Li frowned and immediately pulled Gu Fan to the side to hide.

Gu Fan, not understanding, asked, "What’s going on? You seem nervous."

Li explained, "Organization X must have sent many people to monitor the target. Now that the target has moved, they’ll surely follow. So if we don’t want to be seen by Organization X, it’s better to stay hidden."

"What are you saying? After all this, we still can’t approach the target?" Gu Fan showed a face full of disappointment, and Li also shook his head and sighed, "Unless the target moves into the hotel where we are staying now, it will be really difficult to complete this mission."

Gu Fan worked to calm himself, steadied his mind, and firmly grasped Li’s shoulder, looking at him intently, "This may be our only chance. Let’s split up; you go to the lobby, I’ll stay at the entrance. Let’s capture however many photos we can get."

Li nodded and went to the lobby as Gu Fan had instructed.
