Chapter 1330: Chapter 1330: You Have It, I Have It Too

"Complain about this narrow-minded artificial intelligence? Who would dare? Don’t they want to live? And even if someone wants to complain, where would they even start?"

Gu Fan made a request, asking to go to the place in the video; he wanted to see it for himself.

The artificial intelligence Xiaolan agreed and added, "It seems that the person in the video who matters to you must be very important to you. You are so loyal and righteous; no wonder so many people are willing to follow you."

"Rather than saying I’m loyal and righteous, it’s better to say I’ve met a group of great companions who make everything I do for them worthwhile," Gu Fan said with a gentle smile, radiating a sense of pride.

Ouyang Jin immediately agreed, "Exactly, if it weren’t for this relationship, I would have raised the price long ago."

"Okay, you can shut up now," this time, it was finally Lu Yi’s turn to cover Ouyang Jin’s mouth.

Everyone took a brief rest, filled their stomachs, and then set off immediately, moving as quickly as possible, fearing that the artificial intelligence Xiaolan might suddenly turn hostile.

"Do you really need to distrust me this much?" Xiaolan, the artificial intelligence, was speechless, wondering if she really had left such a bad impression on these people.

After walking for more than ten minutes, the light at the end of the tunnel shone on everyone’s faces like hope, boosting everyone’s spirits and hastening their steps.

The moment they stepped out and saw the towering trees, realizing they were back in the Dark Primitive Mountain, everyone breathed in the free air and could not help but exclaim, "We finally made it out alive."

Turning back, Gu Fan realized that the pathway they had come through was actually in a mountain. It seemed the ancient super civilization’s secret base was built inside the mountain. It was really strange when they had entered it?

Seeing everyone eager to try things out, Su Hui immediately warned, "All right, keep it down. This place is still Organization X’s territory. If you don’t want to draw them here, keep quiet."

Hearing this, everyone was startled and immediately shut their mouths.

Yes, Organization X was still there, the danger had not been alleviated, and seeing everyone as jumpy as scared birds, Gu Fan knew the morale was low.

The situation was not looking good; there were only a little over fifty people left, low on ammunition, and everyone was exhausted. If they really encountered Organization X, they wouldn’t even have the means to fight back; it might be better to surrender.

There was no other choice, Gu Fan had to take things one step at a time, instructing everyone to rest on the spot to conserve energy.

Since being close to this ancient super civilization’s laboratory posed a danger, Gu Fan believed that the people from Organization X might also encounter trouble, and it was very likely that Organization X had already been driven back.

With this in mind, Gu Fan no longer worried about immediately encountering Organization X and decided resting was the best option.

Now with a shortage of supplies and no tents left, everyone had to lie on the ground to rest. As their tense nerves relaxed for a moment, they fell into a deep sleep.

Gu Fan, too, couldn’t hold up any longer and found a place to sleep soundly.

While everyone was sleeping hazily, someone suddenly got up, walking carefully without making much noise, holding a knife and slowly approaching Gu Fan.

Gu Fan, in his sleep, felt something unusual, as if something was touching him, even reaching into the inside pocket of his shirt.

"Not right!" Gu Fan suddenly woke up, flipping over and then leaping up.

General Horton hadn’t expected Gu Fan to be so alert even when exhausted, which he somewhat admired, though his gaze was unfriendly.

Gu Fan felt his pocket and found the blue vial was still there. He sighed in relief but stared hard at General Horton and demanded loudly, "What do you mean by this?"

"It’s simple, hand over that blue reagent, and we each go our own way," said General Horton as he already had his dagger pointed at Gu Fan.

Other people, hearing the commotion, rushed over and were stunned by the scene; they couldn’t believe there was infighting so soon after escaping death.

Irina also loudly questioned, "General Horton, what are you doing? If it wasn’t for Gu Fan, we wouldn’t have been able to leave alive."

"I keep things separate. My purpose for coming here hasn’t changed just because someone saved me," General Horton said firmly, "Gu Fan, hand over the blue reagent, and all will be well."

Gu Fan was dismissive, "So your purpose here was for this blue reagent all along, and how did you know about this place? You’re not with Organization X, so who is behind you?"

"All of this is none of your business; you don’t need to know. Just hand it over, and I guarantee you won’t have any trouble," General Horton demanded, his eyes betraying his determination, making one shake their head at his overconfidence—considering Gu Fan’s capabilities and his own.

Lu Yi couldn’t help shaking his head and sighing, "Buddy, no offense, but if you had the capability to take the blue reagent, it wouldn’t have ended up in Gu Fan’s hands in the first place."

Some mercenaries also stood up, supporting Gu Fan, and questioning General Horton.

Now, most of the team was on Gu Fan’s side, with only four people loyal to General Horton, ready to confront everyone with him.

To this, Lu Yi and Ouyang Jin were not the least bit concerned; their side had more people, and with Gu Fan, Su Hui, and Lin Xi being so strong, one of them could take down all five of General Horton’s men. The battle was already decided.

Irina tried to persuade again, "General Horton, I hope you don’t do anything foolish. You have no chance of winning, and we will need Gu Fan’s help to leave this place later."

"Do you think you’ve already won?" General Horton’s lips curled up, an evil and meaningful smile spreading across his face as he added, "Do you really think I’m that stupid to challenge Gu Fan after seeing what he’s capable of?"

"With your shrewdness, General Horton, you’re not foolish; you came prepared," Gu Fan was awakened and immediately checked his surroundings; if General Horton had any support, it could only be reinforcements.

"Stop looking; no one’s coming to help me. To deal with you, the five of us are enough." After saying this, General Horton pulled out a can of blue liquid, which looked extremely similar to the one in Gu Fan’s hand.

Everyone watched as General Horton and his four men each drank the blue liquid, their faces smug. For some reason, a sense of impending doom surged, making everyone a bit nervous.

After drinking the blue liquid, General Horton revealed an even more evil grin: "I’ll give you another chance; it’s still timely for you to reconsider your allegiance."
