Chapter 286: Chapter 258 Annihilation

"Adhesive?"

"Yes, but it’s not exactly accurate to call it an adhesive, perhaps a ’fusion agent’ would be more appropriate," Earl Sanaxis chuckled lightly. "It’s like the difference between bone armor and flesh and blood. Rules form the most basic framework of divinity, while the original body and soul are the ’flesh and blood’ used to fill in the gods."

"And it’s because every thread of divinity in the body of a being at the level of the gods contains the power of rules, that these deities have such a qualitative dominance over life forms of lower levels."

"Rules are at the core of the divine, like ’Distortion’ for that chaotic hound, and ’Judgment’ for that little guy from the Gray Mist World. Hmm... Of course, his can only be considered a rudimentary form of rule, for the power of ’Judgment’ is extremely formidable. Even mastering just a small part of it is enough for him to ascend to godhood..."

As Earl Sanaxis spoke, his voice became noticeably distracted, his attention clearly shifting from the conversation to the Dream Rule Stone Tablet in front of him.

"This stone tablet, is it also a creation related to rules?"

Lucien looked at the ancient stone tablet before him and asked Earl Sanaxis.

"If you say so, naturally it counts. However, this thing is actually a special scale that naturally fell from the sovereign itself," Earl Sanaxis explained, for some reason in an unusually good mood, his tone even carried a hint of joy and jocularity.

"But for such great existences, their bodies are the most essential manifestation of rules, one might say they are the materialized expression of the essence of rules. Come on, you two-legged hairy freak, hurry up and bring out my true form," Earl Sanaxis urged, his voice tinged with excitement.

"I’m very curious, what exactly do you want with this stone tablet, going to such lengths to find it... You’re not planning to snatch food from the tiger’s mouth, are you?" Lucien listened to Earl Sanaxis’s slightly anxious urging and couldn’t help asking.

"Can a cultivator’s actions be called theft?" Earl Sanaxis stammered, "I’m borrowing! And... for that great existence, this is just something on the level of a hair..."

Lucien’s mouth twitched as he looked at the goblin priest Abu, who was currently being pursued and blocked by dozens of chains, feeling like he was the one who would soon be facing those chasing chains.

"Don’t worry, don’t worry, I’m now bound together with you, so even if I’m going to trap you, it’ll have to wait for a while..." Earl Sanaxis muttered to himself, then his consciousness detached from Lucien’s spirit core and quickly fused with his own body.

With his true form wriggling like a ball of fluff, Earl Sanaxis briefly regained the ability to move independently. He swiftly wriggled his body and then, like a slimy entity, straightened up and plastered himself onto the Dream Rule Stone Tablet.

"You this..." Lucien began to say something, but Earl Sanaxis’s action was a step ahead of his advice.

Lucien’s breath caught as he watched Earl Sanaxis attach himself directly to the Dream Stone Plate. His body’s center of gravity shifted slightly downward, ready to make an escape at any moment.

After all, he had personally experienced the "arrogance" of the Dream Rules Stone Tablet. According to the motions that could be deemed "defilement" by Earl Sanaxis, it was likely that the wisdom within the Dream Stone Plate not only wanted to kill him at this moment but also harbored a desire to flay him alive.

But Lucien quickly became astounded because the Dream Rules Stone Tablet, when faced with Earl Sanaxis’s "clinging," remained extremely calm, as if it had not detected the "thief" who was lying on it and sucking its blood at all.

"Is this why Earl Sanaxis went to great lengths to enter the Land of Reality? I wonder if this ability is his own unique power or some special rule that I haven’t been able to discern yet..."

As Lucien watched Earl Sanaxis’s movements, some thoughts emerged in his mind, but his attention soon shifted to goblin priest Abu, who was beside them.

The reasons were simple: in just a short conversation, goblin priest Abu had been driven into a desperate situation by the Order Chains. His green eyes were now dimmed, and even his breath had become somewhat weak.

Bang—

The moment those Order Chains were about to close in, Abu’s dark green body unexpectedly exploded without warning.

The invisible power of the rules began to spread in all directions, originating from his body. If any other deity or Cultivator with a deep understanding of divinity had witnessed this scene, they would have realized that Abu was igniting part of his divinity and using it as a kind of high-energy entity to detonate himself.

The terrifying explosion did not affect the normal world, but instead stirred up ripples in the form of soul waves within the false Spiritual Body space. It even slightly pushed back the Order Chains that were about to complete their encirclement. Subsequently, hundreds of emotion-infused thoughts, carrying the remnants of goblin priest Abu’s divinity, frantically scattered in every direction.

Clearly, this was Abu’s last means for survival. Inside these minute thoughts, each contained a sliver of his consciousness and a very small amount of divinity, which could be considered an extremely weak avatar of his. Although these avatars were so feeble they couldn’t bear his complete consciousness, if even one could successfully escape and with enough luck and time, there remained a hope for him to revive!

Pfft, pfft, pfft...

The Order Chains swiftly dispersed, beginning to capture these tiny divine thoughts. These weak divine thoughts would be instantaneously absorbed upon contact with a chain. However, goblin priest Abu did not care at all and continued to urge the remaining thoughts to escape as fast as they could.

A few of these thoughts even rushed towards Lucien with the intent to take refuge within Lucien’s spirit core and parasitize his body as a means to evade the pursuit of the rule chains.

"Wizard, if you help me this time, my accumulations will be yours, all yours!" Abu’s voice carried a trace of pleading. The divine thoughts he had just released in an effort to save himself were too weak, not even possessing the capability to attack Lucien’s spirit core.

"Mr. Abu, I recall you once said that death, for you, is just the beginning of a new stage," Lucien said with a smile, yet he coldly severed the spiritual connection between them.

"No! No! The Mother Goddess will bless me to be reborn within Her divine realm, but I curse you. You, including your ugly Wizard World, will ultimately become nourishment for the Mother Goddess’s ascension to the utmost high! I curse you..." Abu’s cursing was abruptly cut off, clearly indicating that the thought which just established contact with Lucien had also been extinguished by the hunt of those chains.
