Chapter 198: Chapter 177 Trouble

Below the small lecture hall, including Sally, many Wizard Apprentices were also listening intently to Woolf’s presentation, which resembled a "public science" overview of the Body Refining Wizards. They were also silently memorizing some of the disadvantages and limitations of Body Refining Wizards.

"It seems like the path of the Body Refining Wizard doesn’t require as stringent a demand for spiritual power aptitude, but instead, it places more emphasis on the body and will. For me, the path of the Elemental Wizard suits me better," Sally mused as she listened to Woolf’s lecture, her frown gradually easing. However, after making this judgment, she became less attentive to some of Woolf’s points.

"I must become stronger! But my talent as a wizard is just barely second-class, and if I continue training using the Elemental Wizard’s methods, it would be quite a stretch for me to advance to a Third-level Wizard Apprentice..."

On the other side of the small lecture hall, a seemingly ordinary Wizard Apprentice couldn’t help but clench his fists tightly. "Perhaps, the path of the Body Refining Wizard is the most suitable for me... Even if I die during training, that would not be something to fear..."

But soon, Brando’s clenched fists unconsciously relaxed. He suddenly remembered that within Greybone Academy, there did not seem to be a Body Refining Wizard training system available for him to exchange for, and the public lectures from the academy, such as the Meditation Method and rune courses, were all about the training methods of the Elemental Wizard.

With that thought, his gaze dimmed slightly, but he still listened seriously to Woolf’s talk, hoping that this Body Refining Wizard who had come from afar could share some knowledge or tips on the practice of Body Refining Witchcraft at the end of his talk.

However, since this public lecture was, after all, of a "public science" nature, Woolf did not delve into specific training methods in the end, leaving some Wizard Apprentices who were somewhat interested in the training path of the Body Refining Wizard feeling a tinge of loss.

Fortunately, Lucien’s timely interjection gave those few Wizard Apprentices an instant feeling of hopefulness as if the tables had turned.

"The academy has also reached an agreement with Winter Fort, and later on, we will set up an experimental class for Body Refining Wizards within the academy. We will be employing two Third-level Wizard Apprentices from Winter Fort as coaches for the experimental class at a high salary..."

"An experimental class for Body Refining Wizards?" Brando slightly lifted his head, a glimmer of light appearing in his eyes.

...

On the cold ice field, a one-sided massacre was currently unfolding.

"Kill them all, leave no one behind!" The Leader of Winter Castle was a burly Wizard with a large beard. He was not dressed in a Wizard Robe but was wearing a huge cloak made from the skin of a winter bear. His hair was also carelessly braided into dirty small braids, wildly draped behind his head.

At this moment, in his hand, he was holding a First-level Wizard whose breath was feeble and who had a look of desperation in his eyes.

"Lock him up first." The Leader of Winter Castle, Gorovski, then tossed the captured Formal Wizard to one of his subordinates. He didn’t make another move but instead crossed his arms and looked down, watching as two Formal Wizards from Winter Fort led many Wizard Apprentices to start an indiscriminate massacre of the small wizard stronghold known as "Boulder."

"Why are we..." the master of the fort began to ask.

"It’s just a trade, nothing more. Humph, what does it matter to us, we only need to take care of our own," Gorovski snorted lightly, but said no more.

Feeling that his tone might have been a bit unfriendly, Gorovski paused for a moment, then casually changed the subject to shift the awkwardness of his previous response. "Anyway, has anything happened in Winter Fort lately?"

"The matter... um, it’s that recently the new person in charge from the Grey Bone Wizards contacted us, saying they want to have an academic exchange..."

"Greybone Academy? Has that detestable old rat changed his ways?" Gorovski murmured to himself before setting the matter aside.

As a Second-level Wizard, he couldn’t be bothered with such trivial matters, and right now, in order to secure a "ticket" for the upcoming exploration of the secret realm, he needed to make some preparations.

"Tell those youngsters to speed up, strike while the iron is hot, and quickly take care of the last one!" Gorovski’s voice thundered, and then with a light leap, he went from being far away to the most intense part of the battlefield, reaching out with a gentle grasp.

Suddenly, with the sound of breaking ranks, the last resisting wizard formation of the Boulder Organization was easily destroyed by him, revealing a look of despair on the faces of a Formal Wizard and several Wizard Apprentices hidden within the wizard formation.

...

"It seems that my previous understanding of Body Refining Wizards was somewhat too one-sided." After returning to his laboratory, Lucien, while looking over some notes and information he had recorded today, began to jot down his own comments in the blank spaces as he recalled key points.

Meanwhile, under Lucien’s instructions, Edison had started trying out some of the Body Refinement Witchcraft training methods from Winter Fort, though for him, with a physique unlike that of a normal person, some of Winter Fort’s methods seemed a bit too mild.

"It looks like these Body Refinement methods intended for ordinary Wizard Apprentices are not suitable for Edison, and I need to make some targeted adjustments," Lucien thought, quickly jotting down his ideas in his notes.

"Headmaster, the investigation into the White Bone Alliance has made some progress." As Lucien was teaching and summarizing various Body Refining Witchcraft methods, a Third-level Wizard Apprentice hurried over, showing respect to Lucien and quickly handing over a piece of intelligence.

"Black Horn Mountain?" Lucien quickly glanced through the intelligence, which was about the whereabouts of that "Captain of Death".

According to the intelligence gathered by Greybone Academy, the destination of the White Bone vessel was very likely one of the White Bone Alliance’s regular supply bases, "Black Horn Mountain". Naturally, when they disembarked for resupply and rest, that would be the best time to attack.

"One thing after another, indeed," Lucien tapped the desk lightly, a sigh of lament in his heart. He really wasn’t too keen on this assault.

To make matters worse, the timing of this action was somewhat awkward.

If the attack was to take place within the next week or two, then he would need to start mobilizing personnel now. However, with the academic exchange with Winter Fort just beginning, he found himself somewhat unable to extricate himself from the situation.

"Lucien, couldn’t you arrange for another Formal Wizard to deal with this matter?" Carly asked softly.

"It’s a bit troublesome, mainly because the other Wizards don’t have the authority to use the Greybone Scepter," Lucien shook his head slowly and picked up the Greybone Scepter beside him, gently closing his eyes.
