Chapter 132: Chapter 115: Blood Puppet, Collision_2
...
Lucien looked at the grand gate of Greybone Academy, his gaze calm and icy.
"Stop the car," Lucien spoke softly, his eyes fixed on a seemingly withered old man standing before the gate. From the familiar spiritual power emanating from the man, Lucien recognized him as Heli, the wizard he had once dueled with on Kosai Island using a Mysterious Puppet.
"You’re back?" Wizard Heli appeared calm, even his tone was remarkably open.
"You see me, just to say that?" Lucien squinted his eyes, and he also held the Wizard’s Notes in his right hand, silently constructing a witchcraft model.
"Hahaha!" Wizard Heli did not utter any pleas for mercy. Instead, a layer of blood-light emitted from his body as he charged at Lucien, letting out a shrill and eerie scream that made Gagarin and the others feel intensely nauseous from within the nearby carriage.
Empowered by his blood, Wizard Heli’s speed was so fast that afterimages appeared.
"A fusion-type Mysterious Puppet, huh?" Lucien observed the current form of Heli, showing no trace of panic. He did not even seek Carly’s help to transform into a Sprite Dragon for a downgrade attack on Heli but silently flipped open the Wizard’s Notes and waved his hand lightly.
A page made from Morey Beast Hide flew out and then exploded, releasing countless flames that faintly ensnared Wizard Heli.
The flames quickly converged, soon forming a ring of fire, which directly bound Wizard Heli, considerably reducing his speed.
First Order Witchcraft [Ring of Flame]
The formal witchcraft that Lucien was constructing was also successfully solidified. As the flames reappeared around him, a new Ring of Flame trapped the already hindered Wizard Heli once more, the flames hissing fiercely, not only inflicting continuous damage but also preventing him from escaping the encirclement of the two fiery rings.
"Damned... If only I still had my previous Mysterious Puppet..." Wizard Heli felt frustrated and angry inside. A significant part of his strength manifested through his Mysterious Puppet, and he had numerous coordinated tactics between his real body and puppet. But now that his puppet had been destroyed, and he was only just getting accustomed to a new one, he couldn’t manipulate it as freely as before.
Moreover, the [Blood Puppet] excelled in speed and attack, and the sound waves it produced could also disrupt Lucien’s construction of witchcraft models. In Wizard Heli’s view, if properly executed, this attack strategy could catch Lucien off guard and even allow him to kill him outright.
After all, with the [Blood Puppet’s] enhancement, any scratch from Heli would basically equate to death for Lucien.
But now, Lucien had unexpectedly pulled out such a controlling type of witchcraft and launched two simultaneously, severely limiting his advantage in speed.
Meanwhile, Lucien’s actions were ceaseless, calling forth two more pages from the Wizard’s Notes. As the pages burst open, immediately two [Frost Blade Dances] formed, and 72 Frost Moon Blades swirled like jubilant swallows toward the direction where Wizard Heli was seated, furiously slashing at him.
"Lucien, you’re forcing me!" Wizard Heli roared, simultaneously utilizing special puppet silken threads to block or deflect these Frost Moon Blades.
The undisguised combat fluctuations between Lucien and Wizard Heli rapidly spread out, causing vibrations throughout most of Greybone Academy that could be attributed to Formal Wizards clashing.
"It’s Heli, and another somewhat unfamiliar."
"That’s Heli, and the other also has an aura of the Ashbone Badge."
"Heli..."
Almost instantly, nearly ten Formal Wizards’ spiritual powers scanned the area. However, upon realizing it was not an invasion by other wizard organizations, they swiftly withdrew their spiritual powers. Meanwhile, the apprentices were getting somewhat wild.
After all, this was a battle between two Formal Wizards; even if they couldn’t advance to Formal Wizard themselves in the future, witnessing a life-and-death struggle between Formal Wizards was exhilarating!
Moreover, within these apprentices, there was an indescribable emotion. They revered Formal Wizards, feared them, but deep down, they also looked forward to witnessing the downfall of a high and mighty Formal Wizard right before their eyes!
"Quick, let’s go take a look!"
"I’m not planting anymore, worst case I’ll get docked a couple of Magic Stones."
"This is a clash between Formal Wizards!"
...
Numerous Wizard Apprentices appeared, watching Lucien and Heli’s skirmish from a safe distance, while some apprentices far away resorted to using supporting witchcrafts to hurry over.
They watched breathlessly, and some third-level Wizard Apprentices and veteran second-level Wizard Apprentices quickly recognized the identities of the combatants, swiftly spreading the news among the apprentices.
Newly-promoted Formal Wizard Lucien VS veteran Formal Wizard Heli!
The apprentices were tense, hopeful.
And some third-level Wizard Apprentices watching Lucien currently controlling the numerous Frost Moon Blades had a very complex look in their eyes.
It seemed that not too long ago, Lucien was quite miserable, and to many third-level Wizard Apprentices, he had even become not worth the effort to exploit, some second-level Wizard Apprentices were even eager to take a bite at him!
