This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist
Chapter 732 - 732: 732: Divine Game: Chaotic Blocks 123

[Divine-Deity-Demon Group Chat]

Foolishness: What are you trying to prove to me?

Captain: I want to prove to you that her choices weren't wrong. She's not trying to please anyone. She just knows one truth too well—anger and resentment mean nothing when you're weak. Power is the only thing that brings real dignity.

Captain: Me, Drummer, the Barista, the Cartoonist, you, Deceitful Bloom, the Gourmet, White Gloves—we can shape the rules and the course of this game. Not because of whether we've ever bowed our heads or compromised in our long lives, but because right now, we're the strongest.

Captain: Look at the paths other players take. The journey of the weak is already full of compromise, humiliation, and frustration. The only difference is how each chooses to deal with it.

Barista: First time I've seen you talk this much.

Gourmet: Just like Deceitful Bloom. Ever since BS-Rita showed up, they all became chatterboxes.

Deceitful Bloom: Come on, I'm not that bad. Foolishness is the one going overboard. He's said more today than he did in an entire star-sea month. I've never seen him this talkative, chasing BS-Rita like that.

White Gloves: That's what buying a low-price stock looks like.

Deceitful Bloom: It's a growth stock, thank you very much.

Milk: Still, Captain drops the best one-liners.

Maangmaang: "Becausewearethestrongest"

Sweet Pomelo: "Becausewearethestrongest"

Drunkard: "Becausewearethestrongest"

Plushie: "Becausewearethestrongest"

Captain: …And they wonder why I hate demons. So annoying.

...

[New Divine Game Rule Established: From now on, when a divine gaze falls, the targeted player will be notified.]

The moment the new rule took effect, Rita's system alerts started going wild.

[You are being watched], [You are being watched], [You are being watched]…

Couldn't that message be muted?

She couldn't even play dumb anymore.

Turning Deep Blue Helm, Rita left the spotlight and retreated to the deepest part of the March Theme Park labyrinth.

She needed time—just enough for her second Owl Got Lost cooldown to end, so she'd have a backup for emergencies.

Worried Foolishness from February Theme Park or 15th Month Theme Park might go after her pets, she sent out a quick check-in.

Their replies came instantly.

Nivalis: "Hello, Ms. BS-Rita. This is BSNivalis, your pet. I'm fine, thank you for your concern."

B8017913: "Hello, Ms. BS-Rita. This is BSB8, your pet. I'm fine, thank you for your concern."

No idea what kind of roleplay mood they were in now, but at least they were safe. With that settled, Rita got back to business...

Meanwhile, her two "well-behaved" pets were gossiping.

Nivalis: "Aaaaah I missed it! Why didn't she come get beat up in February?! All I heard were those two votes. She's really pulling it off, huh!"

B8017913: "So cool!"

Nivalis: "Ugh, shame I wasn't there. She solo-popped again."

B8017913: "Solo-popped."

Nivalis: "So unfair! I wanna go too!"

B8017913: "Me too. Should've transformed into an earring and tagged along."

Nivalis: "But you got to go last time!!!"

B8017913: "Hehe."

...

[Lania Kaia · Fat Goose:] Was that BS-Rita getting wrecked earlier?

[Lania Kaia · Maple Syrup:] Yup, my kid.

[Lania Kaia · Mistblade:] Biological? Just your kid?

[Lania Kaia · Maple Syrup:] Adopted. That a problem?

[Lania Kaia · Pine Bloom:] Sigh. Why'd she have to turn it around like that?

[Lania Kaia · Fat Goose:] How'd she even piss off that event box?

[Lania Kaia · Pine Bloom:] Speaking from experience? I have a theory.

[Lania Kaia · Maple Syrup:] ?

[Lania Kaia · Pine Bloom:] She breathed.

[Lania Kaia · Mistblade:] ...

[Marmang · Crab:] Isn't BS-Rita currently being invaded by Lania Kaia?

[Verdant Whisper · Windrush:] You Lania Kaia sure pick interesting hosts.

[Lania Kaia · Fat Goose:] ...Annoying.

[Lania Kaia · Maple Syrup:] Mind your business. Did we get the Divine Relics back yet?

[Lania Kaia · Mistblade:] It'll end up part of Lania Kaia's Song Search sooner or later. Any problem with that?

[Winter Sea · Frenzied Shark:] So Cat's Ideal can freely move around now?

[Tingo · Autumn Deer:] Seems like it.

[Marmang · Crab:] Windrush, say something! Verdant Whisper · Windrush!

[Verdant Whisper · Windrush:] If it had that skill when it was still with me, it never would've been lost.

[Fury · Mech:] That's so tragic it's funny.

[Verdant Whisper · Windrush:] …But when it was with me, there were no vote rules. No restrictions on hiding divine shadows or voices.

[Lania Kaia · Mistblade:] That somehow made it even sadder.

[Marmang · Crab:] That somehow made it even sadder.

[Red Orange · Juicy:] That somehow made it even sadder.

...

Reaching the maze's depths, Rita activated There's a Cat Here and transformed into a cat.

Unfortunately, even now, using There's a Cat Here also triggered Deep Blue Helm to appear...

Sighing, she tucked away Cat's Ideal, sat down in the maze corner, and pulled out Dull Game along with the bullet named "Arrogance."

Slotting the "Arrogance" bullet into the chamber, the Dull Game's description updated.

Dull Game (Toy): "Foolishness is not a sin." Six chambers, six bullets. Spin the chamber at will. Aim it at your head and pull the trigger.

The "Foolishness" bullet erases a single mistaken thought.

The "Arrogance" bullet multiplies your lowest base stat by ten.

The blank bullet reverts your state to 120 seconds prior.

After shooting another target, your next shot must be aimed at yourself.

Every time the wielder makes a choice against their instincts, one special bullet will be reloaded.

If no special bullets remain, Dull Game cannot fire.

(Current bullets: Foolishness, Arrogance)

"Multiply the lowest stat by ten."

Definitely a powerful buff. The only flaw? If she ever needed to hit someone with a blank for a rewind effect, having "Arrogance" loaded could get in the way.

"Foolishness" wouldn't do much if it hit someone else, but "Arrogance"? That could flip the whole game.

But she couldn't give up the blank bullet. A well-timed rewind could bait out an enemy's ultimate.

She opened the chamber and tested whether she could remove "Arrogance."

It came out easily. Good. If she needed to use a blank on someone else, she could remove "Arrogance" ahead of time while keeping "Foolishness" in.

Just then, a nearby player spotted the hidden cat and charged in, trying to kill her.

Rita turned around and let out a practiced "meow~."

The player immediately stopped, a creepy smile spreading across their face.

"Meeeemeeee~"

Rita shivered, bolted, and got the hell out of there.
