Chapter 798: Afterword 2 The future ultimately belongs to the young_4
Logically speaking, Harvey was the Chosen of the Goddess of Fate, and generally speaking, problems shouldn’t have arisen, but his disappearance over so many years indeed caused concern.
Donia needed to find her teacher, which was also perfectly reasonable.
But Hake Stone just felt unlucky. How come the issues of his mentor’s lineage always seemed to drag him into misfortune?
Hake Stone quickly said, "If Duke Deceiver can’t find him, what use is there in you going?"
Among all the heavens and myriads of worlds, who held the widest network of connections? If Duke Deceiver took second place, no other deity would dare to claim the first. This significant figure, who had a foot in both the realms of good and evil, couldn’t find Harvey, so what could Donia, a mere girl, possibly do?
Yet Donia confidently said, "I naturally have a way. The Goddess of Fate has given me an oracle, now it’s time to find my teacher!"
Hake Stone asked, "Did the Goddess of Fate tell you what fate I would suffer for taking you out of Hell?"
Donia said, "I can do a divination for you, but once the future is seen it cannot be changed. Are you sure you want a divination?"
"Stop! No need, thank you! Ever since your teacher’s teacher, your lineage’s prophecies have never brought anything good!"
Hake Stone was afraid that Donia would just blink and then tell him his death was tomorrow. Fate was a tricky thing; better not to dabble in such divinations without reason.
"However, since it is an oracle from the Goddess of Fate, can’t you just tell Duke Deceiver outright, instead of sneaking..."
Before he could finish, the tightly shut door was kicked open again!
This time, the thick wooden door was directly shattered.
Avernus’ First Princess, Her Royal Highness Princess Melina, appeared before the two, hands on her hips.
"You two, are you plotting to escape from Hell on your own?!"
Hake Stone looked at the debris scattered on the floor, thinking to himself, had these two princesses conspired to entrap him?
Upon seeing Melina, Donia immediately panicked.
If anyone in Avernus could be called the most frightening, it wasn’t the always smiling Duke Deceiver or Lady Rose but this Aunt Melina.
Despite appearing foolishly gullible at times, if she suspected you were deceiving her, she’d immediately draw her sword and chop. Yes, just suspicion was enough for her to strike. Such was Princess Melina’s way of life in Hell; after all, no one in Hell dared hold Her Royal Highness the Princess accountable.
Hake Stone was about to explain when Melina said, "Running away from home? Why not take me with you?!"
...
An hour later, the Gates of Hell opened, and the two Hell Princesses, one tall and one small, stepped into the Mortal Realm with a vampire who wore an expression like he wished for death.
Only after the Gates of Hell slowly closed did Amberser and Withered Rose show themselves.
"Are you really letting those two youngsters run off?" Withered Rose complained, "Do you know how many enemies you have? What if Melina and Donia encounter an accident?"
Amberser replied, "On the day Donia was born, the Goddess of Fate herself appeared to bestow her blessing; nothing unfortunate will befall the child, and even if it does, it will serve as a trial. Melina has been rampaging through Hell for so many years, if we don’t let her gain some experience, I fear she’ll remain foolish forever. Let them go. I, too, want to know where that boy Harvey has gone, not even leaving behind a word."
Seeing that Withered Rose was still uneasy, Amberser took her hand and said, "Children must grow up, and we old folks should accept our age. The story to come will be theirs."
