Chapter 755: Chapter 621: The Devils Deserve to Die
Time and space always sound like such grand concepts.
However, even mortal mages could manipulate time to a certain extent—the Time Stop Scroll had always been outrageously expensive, but it was never out of stock.
The gap between mortals and deities sometimes wasn’t about what powers you possessed, but rather an issue of "resistance."
When deities cast Charm Magic on mortals, even if it was from the Goblin God, the victims would be utterly infatuated.
Conversely, Katherine’s extraordinary charm, which was effective on mortals without exception, was hardly influential on deities.
The more powerful the individual, the more difficult they were to affect.
This Devil’s blood egg was no different; mortals certainly couldn’t accelerate its hatching.
But Amberser could, it just required a price to be paid.
Amberser opened a Space Gate, and countless Soul Currencies gushed out like a mini-tsunami.
The cost was money. Hell was a collective that tormented and devoured souls. The reason the Hell Engine could burn Soul Currency for enhancement was precisely because that was the foundation of Hell Law.
In this place, having money meant you could do whatever you wanted.
And Amberser was the true titan of wealth in Hell; his fortune was beyond measure.
A vast amount of Soul Currency served as fuel, thrown into the void.
Thunderous roars echoed through the grand library, and invisible time turned into streaming light, starting to circulate madly.
Time was accelerating, and the blood egg began to hatch faster.
Originally the size of a human head, the blood egg, throbbing rapidly, began to swell, growing taller than a person and still expanding.
The Demon Lord’s power contained within swiftly transformed into new flesh, and under Withered Rose’s conscious control, it morphed its form.
Amberser had spent millions of Soul Currencies, and he didn’t count how many years he had accelerated. Anyway, it was definitely several decades.
Such a vast expanse of time finally allowed the blood egg to grow to ten meters in height, getting close to the point of hatching.
As a handprint emerged on the giant egg, sharp nails tore through the pulsating flesh, and Withered Rose, bathed in blood, stepped out from within.
Amberser hurried over to support the weakened figure.
Wiping away the sticky blood plasma, Amberser saw Withered Rose reborn.
Amberser said with slight surprise, "You seem to have not changed at all."
From her appearance, the reborn Withered Rose looked no different than before, except her originally extremely pale skin now looked more natural, more like an ordinary human.
With a seductive smile, Withered Rose said, "I was already beautiful to begin with."
Amberser teased, "Can’t argue with that, but I always thought a woman’s pursuit of beauty was endless, there’s always some little flaw to fix."
"How do you know there isn’t?"
"Because I remember every detail of this face."
Taken aback with a smile, Withered Rose said, "Hearing these words now feels entirely different. I could do with more in the future."
"That’s great, it means our efforts haven’t been in vain."
Amberser was overjoyed. Although Withered Rose’s tone still sounded so nonchalant, he could now feel her warmth and heartbeat.
Finally, he didn’t need to worry about her soul perishing in endless silence.
In a burst of excitement, Amberserdrew Withered Rose into his arms, and two ten-meter-tall giants were about to shake the foundation of the grand library.
However, Withered Rose said, "Now is not the time. Don’t you have matters to attend to?"
Amberser replied with resignation, "Ah, you’re right."
Amberser might be rich, but he couldn’t afford to accelerate time just now. This wasn’t something to be rushed or accelerated.
Magic converged, and the bloodstains on Withered Rose vanished. Amberser draped her in a dark red dress, almost identical to her attire in Gloomyland.
Thus, aside from growing ten meters tall, Withered Rose didn’t seem to change much else.
"Do you need time to adapt, or can I use your power now?" Amberser asked.
With a smile, Withered Rose said, "I was already adapting inside the egg. I know what you need."
Amberser exclaimed joyously, "That’s exactly what I’ve been waiting to hear."
Taking Withered Rose by the hand, Amberser teleported directly above the Blood River Battlefield.
Overlooking the entire battlefield, thousands of shattered spaces were in the midst of fierce combat; Bayer himself had come to the frontline to command, barely taking a breather.
But the Devil’s forces were indeed insufficient; with several dozen battle zones already breached, the Demons had killed all the Devils in the area and were now frantically destroying the spatial barriers, trying to break free from the Blood River Battlefield.
And once those Demons broke out, Amberser would be deemed a failure, with the Grand Duke of the Second Layer of Hell’s army arriving forthwith, ready to eliminate him, the would-be incompetent Archduke of the Devils.
Amberser certainly did not want to face the might of the Steel Duke.
Amberser asked Withered Rose, "How about it, do you feel confident?"
Withered Rose didn’t answer; she was carefully savoring the tension, a sensation she hadn’t felt in many years.
Moments later, her hands steadied, and she said to Ambrser, "Lend me your power; my perception can’t cover the entire battlefield."
"Then let’s share our perception."
Amberser carefully connected his soul to Withered Rose’s. As the master of the first layer of hell, Amberser’s perception could cover the entire Blood River Battlefield, but it required intense concentration and couldn’t be maintained for long.
