Chapter 752: Chapter 620: Revive, My Love
Withered Rose looked at Amberser, a hint of a smile flickering across his indifferent face.
In his long life, he had seen many things, but this was the first time someone had invited him to descend into Hell so earnestly.
Yet, Withered Rose nodded without hesitation and said, "Then let’s go to Hell together."
There was nothing to worry about, just leaving everything to him to handle would suffice.
Right now, Withered Rose just wanted to sleep soundly; perhaps when he awoke, life would have changed.
After obtaining Withered Rose’s consent, Amberser was busy at once.
The worst-case scenario he had planned previously was for Withered Rose to die and fall into Hell, where through the mechanisms of Hell, the sinner’s soul would be reborn as a demon.
Although demons were as evil as the undead, they were living creatures with all senses and much more intense than humans.
Thus, demons were prone to madness and perversions, but they were seldom so bored as to self-destruct.
The biggest problem with this plan was its uncertainty.
Hell wasn’t owned by Amberser; nobody could guarantee that a sinner’s soul descending into Hell would definitely be reborn in Melina’s domain, more likely ending up in some insignificant corner of the Nine Layers of Hell, perishing before Amberser could find it, or encountering unforeseen accidents.
And an even worse possibility was that Withered Rose’s soul would be captured by other Grand Dukes of the Devils, as a bargaining chip against Amberser.
Every devil knew how profitable Hell Bank was.
If someone claimed Amberser’s Achilles’ heel was priced at billions of Soul Currency, no devil would find it exaggerated.
Therefore, descending into Hell had always been the last resort that Amberser wanted to use, preferring to try Aige’s suggestion of reactivating Withered Rose’s soul with the freedom of faith.
But now it was different, Amberser had become the master of the first layer of hell.
Designating a certain sinner to be reborn on his own territory was not a difficult task; it just required some time to practice.
Of course, he also needed to create a suitable body for Withered Rose.
Normal sinners would become food for Hell Worms upon falling into Hell, undergoing the brutal torture of being chewed up and digested before being excreted by these worms like defecation.
At birth, they were just a lump of foul-smelling matter, needing a long time to slowly hatch into the weakest inferior demon, then gradually grow and evolve, only then would they have the chance to transform into other powerful devils.
This process eliminated the vast majority of the lower layers; many sinners didn’t even have the chance to transform into inferior demons before being dealt with by the scavenging devils.
Never mind the stench, to the devils of the lower echelons, souls were always a scarce resource.
Naturally, Amberser wouldn’t possibly let Withered Rose be eaten and digested; he certainly needed a way to transform sinners.
He couldn’t do it before, but now he could, as the transformation by the Hell Worms was inherently a manifestation of Hell Law.
As the master of the first layer of hell, Amberser could fully apply this law elsewhere.
So, the transformation process wasn’t a problem; the real issue was the body.
How to create a demonic body for Withered Rose was something Amberser needed to consider seriously.
The simplest of course was to create one directly based on the Succubus blueprint; female to Succubus conversion had the highest compatibility.
But Amberser didn’t want to take such a perfunctory approach, so he opted for the technology of artificial demons.
Hell’s bio-modification technology had always been formidable, with all sorts of limb mix-and-match designs, including human spiders with seven hands and eight feet, human centipedes connected head to tail, and more.
It didn’t mean that the devils were perverse, but rather that their technology was truly formidable—such chaotic creatures could still survive.
With such mature devil transformation technology, creating a more perfect body was not difficult, just a matter of connections and costs.
Amberser never lacked Soul Currency; what he had lacked before were connections.
Now, his connections also posed no problem.
With a snap of his fingers, the most skilled Devil Transformation Doctor of the first layer of hell scrambled into his great library.
The transformed palace had become a place styled to Amberser’s liking, filled with the scent of books, yet in no way diminishing the dignity of an Archduke of the Devils.
Even though Amberser was accustomed to appearing in the form of a normal human, the grotesquely shaped, large-bodied devils groveled before him, and it was obvious at a glance who was the master here.
Amberser casually gestured towards the devil that resembled a pot-bellied praying mantis; this creature had eight pairs of scythe-like claws of varying sizes, each pair with different edges—serrated, smooth, and even functioning like tweezers, clearly modified for convenience of work.
Amberser had seen this guy perform crude yet highly efficient operations on others, inserting Hell Engines; the eight pairs of claws were unmistakably professional.
"I want to create a perfect demon’s body. What are your suggestions?" Amberser inquired.
The Scythe Demon nervously replied, "May I ask what you mean by perfect, in what aspect?"
"Something similar to Glesia would do."
After Amberser said this, the group of bizarrely shaped beings fell into silence.
It was quite a while before the Scythe Demon hesitantly asked, "My Lord, the Glesia you mentioned... is she the same Desire Demon Queen?"
Amberser countered, "What, is there another woman for the Lord of Hell?"
This Glesia was the notorious Hell Princess, once the wife of Mammon, later forcefully separated by Asmodeus and now the ruler of the Sixth Level of Hell.
