Chapter 530: Chapter 479: Full Harvest_3
Putting aside whether the King agreed or not, what would the Orc God Geush think of this?
Urbano Pacheco let out an awkward laugh, then said, "The Orc God Geush cannot tolerate the continued decline of the orcs, so he found me. He hopes that I can help the orcs prepare."
"Prepare for what?"
"Naturally, the preparations for a world war, Master Ultraman. This all concerns you. Don’t you know that the Elven Gods have started a war in the Divine Realm against the Rose Spider Queen? Moreover, they are about to win. Those Elf Gods who were once exiled will return, and the Elven Gods will be reunited. As a result, the Elf Tribe will grow stronger. What, then, will happen to the orcs?"
No thought was required to answer that question.
The biggest enemies of the elves, ranked first, are the Drow Elves, and second are the orcs.
Conflict within races may somewhat apply to Drow Elves, but the orcs are ancient foes of the elves; it’s rare to even see an elf team up with an orc in adventurer parties, especially pure-blooded High Elves, who would refuse to cooperate with any orc.
The reason is simple: most of the persecuted elves die at the hands of Drow Elves and orcs, this ratio being significantly higher than that of other races causing harm.
The reasons are hard to trace, but historically, it had always been this way. The Elf Tribe looks down upon the orcs, while the orcs relish trampling the Elf Tribe into the ground.
Of course, such deep-seated enmity will not be so absolute as to prevent any interaction, but on a racial level, it’s definitely hostile, and they can be considered archenemies.
As the Elven Gods grow stronger and the Drow Elves return, the orcs will move from second to first place on the list of enemies. It’s no wonder Geush is nervous—he might be afraid that Corellon would blast out his other eye.
With no other option left, he had to turn Urbano Pacheco into a lifesaver for the orcs, and it seems, so far, to be quite effective.
"Geush enhanced my mind-reading abilities, allowing me to communicate with every orc’s mind, and I promised him that I would not turn the orc race into Heart-stealing Demons, but simply use them as mercenaries for the orc war efforts. In return, I would get some slaves for reproduction, to rebuild my tribe," Urbano Pacheco explained.
Amberser nodded, it sounded reasonable.
But the orcs were still thinking too much; the Elf Tribe isn’t going to expand outward—they haven’t even solved their Mana Addiction Disease. Maintaining their own territory would be fortunate. But Corellon is indeed formidable, to have won in such a short period? Although Rose has been severely wounded, being able to confront the Elven Gods for so many years, she should have some deep-hidden capabilities. How could she have lost so quickly?
While it’s surprising, it’s not impossible; after all, that’s the Elven God-King Corellon, the Orc God himself is frightened enough to seek external help.
Having cleared his doubts, Amberser then said to Urbano Pacheco, "Thank you for clarifying that, I have one last question. The Heart-stealing Demons had enslaved the Kuotao Murlocs for a long time, causing their psyche to deteriorate. I heard that the Koutoa Mermaid Goddess emerged from such chaos. So, do you retain powers that could influence this goddess? For example, make her recall her times as a slave?"
Urbano Pacheco looked at Amberser in surprise; what was this Lich talking about? Making the Koutoa Mermaid Goddess a slave? It was audacious of him to think of such a thing.
"Master Ultraman, a Deity is still a Deity after all. Techniques that work on Koutoa Murlocs are useless on a Deity. If they were effective on deities, we, the Heart-stealing Demons, wouldn’t have been wiped out; we would have enslaved this goddess long ago."
It made sense, but Amberser was not one to give up, insisting, "Then let’s exchange all the information related to the Kuotao Murlocs, Urbano Pacheco; you can name your price."
"Master Ultraman, are you planning to pay for this information?"
Urbano Pacheco looked at the Lich before him with confusion. Now, placing himself so low, this Lich wasn’t demanding straightforwardly but was asking him to set a price? This was unlike the extreme greed and brutality rumored about him.
Amberser chuckled and said to the Heart-stealing Demon general, "I’ve already mentioned that you misunderstood me before. Since you’ve shown your sincerity, I naturally choose to cooperate with you. Everyone willing to cooperate with me gets what they desire; my business principle has always been a win-win, not merely exploitation."
Urbano Pacheco was skeptical, but he did not reject the deal. The Kuotao Murlocs had long lost control, and the information the Heart-stealing Demons had was just outdated data that bore little value. Yet, if he could really establish a good relationship with this Lich, it would be beneficial for both the orcs and himself.
"I can give you all the data. If you speak of a price... your friend is contacting the orcs about having a force of Githyanki serve as mercenaries, right? The Githyanki are the perfect breeding ground!" Urbano Pacheco’s tone grew ominous.
Amberser, without hesitation, reached out and shook hands with Urbano Pacheco.
"Pleasant cooperation! However, I’m only responsible for sending them out; you’ll have to act on your own."
"No problem, a pleasure to collaborate."
Urbano Pacheco didn’t hesitate to shake Amberser’s hand, then transferred countless memories into his soul.
The communication method of the Heart-stealing Demons is just that direct, making the transfer of information very efficient.
Amberser had no concerns about being tampered with and accepted all the knowledge directly. It documented all the Kuotao Murlock’s experiences of being controlled, brainwashing techniques, various punishment tools, and so on.
Among these, what particularly caught Amberser’s attention was the method for crafting a bone whistle, said to emit a noise when blown that would agitate the nerves of Kuotao Murlocs, causing them extreme pain until madness, serving as a punishment tool.
"The making of this item seems similar to alchemy!"
Ordinary control methods might not work on the Koutoa Mermaid Goddess, but alchemical products might not be so, Amberser’s mentor being the God of Alchemy. If he could secure this information, perhaps He could create a Divine Artifact capable of influencing the Koutoa Mermaid Goddess.
