Chapter 524: Chapter 477: A Message for the Magic Dragon_3
This was Aige’s reply, and Amberser never worried that she wouldn’t help. However, setting the meeting place at sea was not easy; the whole world now knew the sea was Amberser’s territory, not only was the Emperor of Laine unwilling to come, but it also seemed likely that others invited would be reluctant to venture into the vast ocean.
But this was not a problem, in the worst case, they could simply arrange it by the sea, where Aige could still offer assistance.
It wasn’t enough to rely on Aige alone though, Amberser was more hopeful that the Poet and the Guild Leader would make a move, with these two, it should be stable.
Unfortunately, the Guild Leader gave no response, while the Poet simply replied with indifference, "I won’t get involved in this matter."
[Diga Ultraman: Elder, do you have any reservations? You seemed quite enthusiastic when we dealt with Shael before.]
[Poet: Trying to coax words out of me? It doesn’t matter if I tell you, the wager between the Dragon Pantheon and Lord of the Dawn hasn’t ended yet. If I interfere, it would mean joining the bet. But I don’t have the stakes to match, can’t afford to lose, nor am I qualified to win. So, I’m very sorry, but I cannot intervene. And it’s the same for the Guild Leader; we both have reasons we cannot act, so don’t count on us.]
Just as Amberser was feeling disappointed, another old patron appeared.
[Non-Vegetarian: Dealing with a Magic Dragon... Let me think, I remember someone from the Elegy Poetry Society participated in the Magic Dragon War years ago.]
This statement stunned Amberser. Weren’t all members of the Elegy Poetry Society accounted for?
The Mourners (the possibly deity Guild Leader), the Poet (the self-proclaimed non-deity vice Guild Leader), Mute (the ghost ship Aige), and Non-Vegetarian (Ghoul Yugas); these four were considered the older batch of members, all familiar with the Guild Leader.
Withered Rose, Pale Bone, Headless Bro, Love Vampire, and Amberser were newer members and so weren’t very familiar with the older patrons.
There was still a member who was hiding, and not just any member, but an old patron who had participated in the Magic Dragon War over a thousand years ago?
Who could this be? And what type of Undead were they?
The Guild Leader really wasn’t very organized, were they? Why couldn’t the Necromancy Codex reveal the full list of members? Without speaking up, it was really hard to find them.
Waiting for a long while, there was no activity in the group chat.
[Non-Vegetarian: I’ve messaged him, but no reply. However, I know where he’s hiding. I’ll go find him, wait for my response.]
Amberser quickly expressed his gratitude; the price of soliciting such an old patron was sure to be steep. Amberser committed this favor to memory, planning to later give the Ghoul the Corpses Puppets obtained from the Storm Coliseum, letting him savor the tough old meat left by the Giant Civilization.
With more than half of the Elegy Poetry Society’s members willing to support, Amberser was somewhat relieved, next was to outline the area and time.
This wasn’t hard; it just required a bit of effort to set up so that it didn’t turn into an actual fight on the spot.
Withered Rose said this could be resolved; she had plenty of manpower in Gloomyland, and after waiting for so many years, this was the day she had been waiting for.
What Amberser needed to do now was to turn the battle between the Orcs and Laine into a quagmire, making both sides unwilling to continue fighting and then opt for negotiations.
In that case, they would have to make the Orcs suffer a slight disadvantage.
Amberser activated the Magic Mirror, reaching out to Gustavo Flint. This Alchemist had a pretty good relationship with the Orcs, having facilitated Amberser’s Undead Troop’s sale to the Orcs for a hefty profit.
Seeing Gustavo Flint’s stern black face, Amberser cut to the chase, "I’d like to have a chat with that Orc Commander, can you introduce me?"
