Chapter 469: Chapter 439: The Most Shameless Opponent
Amberser didn’t know the limits of Aeolus’s rebirth ability, he only knew that this youngster’s ability to come back to life was outrageously strong.
Therefore, Amberser needed to find a way to deal with this problem first, otherwise he would just be wasting magic power.
True Polymorph was a powerful Ninth Circle Spell that could, in theory, permanently transform the target into another species. Normally, the effect of such a transformation was hard to achieve because the more powerful the creature, the greater its resistance to the spell.
Aeolus had the blessing of a Deity, making it extremely difficult to transform him.
So Amberser chose to kill him first, thinking that at the moment of beheading, his will would be weakened and he should be more susceptible to the spell’s effects.
Amberser’s plan was a success, the Ninth Circle Spell was cast smoothly, and Aeolus’s body instantly turned into a crab the size of a fist.
Amberser hadn’t expected it to go so smoothly; he guessed the sworn enemy declaration had really helped a lot.
But just as Amberser was about to grab the crab, a huge whirlpool formed around it, flinging Amberser and his mount out together.
"No way, it can still retain its original abilities after transforming?"
Amberser was speechless; that Deity’s blessing was just too strong.
Not only that, but after Amberser readjusted his posture, he saw Aeolus in crab form rush into those Sharkwa Fishman Zombies, and then the zombies smashed and ate him up.
Then, the youngster was reborn in his human form again.
"How generous, that kind of blessing must consume a lot of the Deity’s energy. That crazy Goddess is really splurging!"
Amberser was helpless; Aeolus’s ability for infinite rebirth was just too outrageous, and he couldn’t think of a way to deal with it for the moment.
If that was the case, he might as well just ignore him.
After their spells failed, the surviving Kuotuo Murlocs howled and charged at Amberser, this time only a few fools were still trying to cast spells, the rest of the Kuotuo Murlocs were engaging in close combat with lobster pincers raised.
Amberser patted Naomi’s back, and with a mutual understanding, she immediately got what Amberser meant and turned her head to ram into the Kuotuo Murlocs.
Aeolus, who had just been brewing a powerful spell, watched as Amberser crashed into the midst of the Kuotuo Murlocs and had to dissipate the magic power he had just gathered, otherwise this strike would have left many Kuotuo Murlocs dead.
Amberser, however, was not polite with the Kuotuo Murlocs; his hands wielded the Demon-Slaying Blade, spinning wildly, slashing through them like mowing grass.
The fighting power of individual Kuotuo Murlocs was actually very weak; without using Chaos Magic to gamble, they posed no threat to Amberser.
Naomi carried Amberser swiftly through, occasionally biting to death a few Kuotao Murlocs, quickly penetrating their formation.
Aeolus followed closely behind, continually trying to attack Amberser with various currents, but his spells, no matter how strong, could not compare with Amberser’s magic power.
Amberser’s Mecha could twist in all directions, and with a twist of the upper body, he turned his head to cast a few ice spells at Aeolus, the latter was constantly controlled, unable to keep up.
Amberser did not show mercy to him either, at his command, all Sharkwa Fishman Zombies charged towards the Kuotao Murlocs.
Since Aeolus could not be killed, it was best to deal with those Kuotao Murlocs first.
Then the great melee began, Sharkwa Fishman Zombies were not simple Puppets but complete Undead, zombies with the capability to act independently, so Amberser didn’t have to be distracted controlling them; a single order was enough.
Although the Sharkwa Fishman Zombies were low-level with no special abilities, the fact that they were fearless was enough.
Sharkwa Fishmen originally fought with their claws and teeth, so as zombies, their combat power was not much different.
The Kuotao Murlocs, due to Amberser’s presence, dared not use Chaos Magic, which left them at a disadvantage in combat, nowhere near the match for Sharkwa Fishmen in melee.
Despite Aeolus bringing more Kuotao Murlocs, the battle was completely one-sided; the Kuotao Murlocs were slaughtered and fell back in defeat, and then, these foolish fishmen fled in panic.
Logic has no place with madmen, nor can one discuss determination with them; their thinking is chaotic, prone to madness when they feel like it, and when fear strikes, they flee without hesitation.
In a short while, having left behind a pile of corpses, the Kuotao Murlocs ran off, leaving only Aeolus relentlessly pursuing Amberser.
Amberser now understood why the Kuotao Murlocs could conquer so much territory; it turned out it was Aeolus, this youngster, helping them break the front lines.
An immortal fighter indeed is very troublesome. Amberser felt a headache coming on, as he really couldn’t find a way to kill Aeolus.
Even if he let the zombies swarm him and control Aeolus to give Amberser a chance, Amberser could only kill him once, after which he would be reborn again.
"Damn it, I refuse to believe I can’t take care of you."
Amberser turned around and shouted loudly to Aeolus, "Do you dare to come at me, a duel to the death!"
Aeolus sneered, "Who was just now too scared to fight and ran away?"
"Have the guts not to use your rebirth ability!" Amberser gritted his teeth; the blessing was just too exasperating.
Aeolus retorted, "Have the guts not to use magic!"
Amberser unhesitatingly replied, "Fine, I won’t use it!"
Then, Amberser’s Magic-Breaking Blades spun wildly like electric fans.
