Chapter 827: Chapter 428: Fallen Blood Bowing Down? Upgrade Material Turns Out To Be..._2
"Core Council." Li Ming was not surprised by the existence of this small circle; what surprised him was that this group of people was actually prepared to accept him.
"Our goal is solely to resist the Empire. I believe Lord Azure Dragon is the same." The Fallen Blood raised a hand, a wisp of black mist flowing out, merging into the fifth throne.
"This is the identity of all Pioneer members, except for us."
Li Ming became more and more astonished. He glanced around and unexpectedly saw a few familiar names.
"So Blackbeard is actually Palro..."
"Casting Star Mechanic--Ulysses, he’s actually a member too..."
"Thank you all for your trust." Li Ming contemplated, sensing that the others had a very indifferent attitude towards him, not reacting much. He made a few perfunctory remarks on the surface and then quickly logged off.
"You... what exactly are you doing!?"
After Azure Dragon left, the Navigator couldn’t suppress the anger in his heart any longer and questioned the Fallen Blood, "When did you get mixed up with him?"
"Also, who allowed you to invite him into the Core Council?"
"That’s right, Fallen Blood, you need to give us an explanation." The guide also spoke up; the actions of the Fallen Scholar were too abrupt, and they were all unaware of it.
In front of Azure Dragon, they couldn’t refute it either, so they had to remain silent.
"Just got the news, he killed Ryan." The Fallen Blood had only this one sentence.
In an instant, the anger of the Navigator dissipated, with a hint of disbelief, "He killed Ryan?"
"That’s right. On the way back to Costate, he eradicated all threats, proving that he is not with the Empire." The Fallen Blood said in a deep voice, "Such a person, should we really keep him outside our gates?"
The Navigator’s expression fluctuated, eventually letting out a cold snort and said nothing more.
"If that’s the case, then he indeed qualifies to join the Core Council." The other two had no objections either; there was no greater pledge than this.
...
"It seems like nobody else knows about my entry into the Core Council, it was all the Fallen Blood’s unilateral decision, what exactly is he planning?" Li Ming logged off, still pondering over it.
Today’s situation was completely different from what he imagined before logging in; many of the strategies he prepared were useless. Not only was he not met with much difficulty, but his status also rose step by step.
He couldn’t figure out what the Fallen Blood was up to; this guy was clearly an upper echelon of the Empire, and everyone else seemed to trust him.
"It can’t be just because I’m too formidable, and he bowed to me?" Li Ming thought for a long time, yet found no answer. For now, everything the Fallen Blood did seemed to be in his favor.
Moreover, he even gave him a list of the real identities of all Pioneer members; handing this to the Empire would be a great achievement, allowing for targeted strikes.
This could be described as trust.
"Since you’re already here, just settle for it..." He shook his head, temporarily putting the matter aside, took a deep breath, and started to communicate with the Holy Castle.
"Question?" The Observer appeared, watching as Li Ming gradually emerged.
"Trial." Li Ming stated honestly, the Observer remained silent, saying nothing more, as the surrounding scene transformed.
In the black mist, silhouettes of Transcendent Level Abyss Clan members gradually became clearer. Muscles bulged, the lines were sharp, the skin had more structures resembling armor, and the surface patterns were complex.
The eyes on their heads turned blood-red, like burning flames.
Li Ming’s eyes narrowed slightly, intently focused, as the Infinite Hammer manifested in his hand. Purple light flickered, and power surged turbulently within him. His muscles trembled, concentrating on his arm, and his breathing became heavy and rapid.
Boom!
Heavenly Thunder and Earthly Fire collided!
"I concede!"
In no time, Li Ming shouted, and the violent energy surrounding him instantly dissipated. The body, almost beaten to pulp, quickly repaired itself.
"Damn." Li Ming gasped, cursing under his breath.
These Abyss Clan members, elevated to Transcendent Level, were even stronger than he imagined. Each had power on par with Ryan’s Genetic Release state, possibly even slightly stronger, turning him into a punching bag.
Li Ming gritted his teeth; though his body was repairing itself, the pain was very real. "Observer, why are these creatures so strong? At the same level, they’re more terrifying than Lord Level."
The Observer emerged from the black fog, seemingly relieved that the guy hadn’t won.
"Life forms are constantly evolving, the higher the level, the greater the difference. On your Evolution Path to the Transcendent Level, the gap between you and Titans and Abyss Clan is not that wide anymore." The Observer explained.
"Especially for such a powerful race as the Abyss Clan."
That’s true... Li Ming took a breath, realizing that at the X-level life form stage, it’s normal for conventional physical stats to double the development progress.
"Seems like our Evolution Path is quite formidable too." Li Ming muttered, then asked, "By the way, how does the Abyss Clan evolve?"
The Observer hesitated before speaking, "Devouring...the Universe."
"Devouring the universe?" Li Ming was puzzled, "That’s too vague."
The Observer explained, "It’s literal, devouring everything in the universe—the body, substance, even the information state, the quantum dimension. Everything they come in contact with can be devoured, with the ability to quickly adjust the evolutionary direction to adapt to various environments."
"No bottlenecks? That’s too perfect!" Li Ming couldn’t help but say.
The Observer replied, "There are, but I can’t tell you."
Li Ming let out a "tsk," "Eternal Abyss..."
He thought again about that incomplete "Power of Eternal Abyss" in the system page, unsure of its specific function, hoping it wasn’t just upgrade material.
"Sigh, I initially thought I could give it a shot, but I didn’t even get past the second level." Li Ming sighed helplessly.
"I’ll be back after some time." He bid farewell to the Observer, preparing to leave.
"Wait..." The Observer stopped him.
Again someone wants me to wait... Li Ming found these two words quite familiar, as this was the third person today who told him to wait.
"Take this." The Observer tossed an exquisite alloy container, with a semi-transparent glass pod in the center, glimmering with a crystalline blood hue, suspending a drop of dazzling blood.
"What’s this?" Li Ming was puzzled.
"Blood of the World..." The Observer said expressionlessly, "The reward for the first-time challenge of the Transcendent Level trial, regardless of failure or success."
"Oh?" Li Ming grew interested, examining it closely, "I seem to remember you mentioning this thing is only produced by a Dominator Level Dimension World? What’s it for?"
"No." The Observer corrected, "The Transcendent Level Dimension World can start to gather it, but the Dominator Level is more potent, which can be called World Source Material, elevating the evolutionary level for Titans."
"As for what it does for you, I’m not really sure."
So it’s more of an ornament... He was speechless.
"Never mind, let me take a look." Li Ming took it over, preparing to study it. The alloy chamber opened from the center, and the blood-like object slowly hovered.
Though called blood, it resembled a crystal. When touched, there was no extra sensation, just a cold, chilly feel.
Something’s not right, this thing...can be absorbed?
Li Ming’s eyes widened suddenly. Out of habit, he activated the Control System and could extract some sort of power from it.
He immediately got excited, full of expectation, while the Observer frowned slightly, seeing him holding the Blood of the World, he made no other moves, slowly shaking his head.
The paths of evolution were completely different.
The many things left behind by the Dominators were useless to their successors, as Pure-blooded Titans had disappeared.
Hmm...hmm!?
Suddenly, the Observer’s mechanical pupils spun wildly—had the Blood of the World been absorbed?
"What did you do?" The Observer asked in disbelief. This guy was clearly not a Pure-blooded Titan, so how could he absorb the Blood of the World?
He then noticed the other party looking at him with an even more intense gaze.
"How can I obtain more of this?"
Li Ming was exhilarated, feeling like laughing out loud.
This Blood of the World turned out to be the special energy required to upgrade to X-level items.
It came without any effort, and he originally thought it would take a long time to find it.
Without any clues at present, he didn’t expect, through a stroke of luck, to obtain it just like that.
