Chapter 459: Chapter 243 Torch Organization’s Trump Card: The Powerful Connet._2

Boom!

The Black Giant Python soared into the sky, colliding fiercely with the Purple Giant Palm, unleashing a violent Energy Shockwave that rapidly spread out.

The ground cracked open, dust and smoke billowed, the purple Energy Barrier trembled, and everyone tried to pull back to a safe distance.

"Brother!" Dejes gritted his teeth and roared as his Combat Mecha braced against the residual energy waves and charged forward.

"I... I’m fine..." From the huge pit at the center of the battlefield, with the ground fissured, Brother’s body was mostly crystallized in purple, his voice weak and breath labored.

Further away, many soldiers and workers of the Torch Organization, standing behind the Energy Barrier, stared dumbfounded at the nearly kilometer-tall Purple Giant, their eyes filled with fervor and reverence.

Besides the rampaging residual energy, the battlefield fell into complete silence, everyone’s spirits heavy.

Li Ming, Theo, Ulrich, Benny, and Dejes as well as Brother all stared intently at the Purple Giant.

"Brother, since your arrival, there should have been no offense taken, why the need to wreak such havoc on my base!"

The roaring voice of the Purple Giant shook the heavens and the earth, no one spoke, all secretly on alert.

Following that, Brother spoke again, "I remember warning everyone that this is a Torch Organization base, with whom we have a partnership, so I didn’t want to be too harsh."

"But, since I dare to let everyone come here, I have the capability to eradicate all potential threats!"

This was Connet’s warning; he had anticipated that the situation would inevitably become more complex after the arrival of Ulrich and others, but he did not expect the conflict to erupt so quickly.

Brother, gasping for breath, and Dejes’s voice emanated from his mecha, "Both sides fought, it isn’t right for you, Lord Connet, to only blame one side."

"As of now, I have no idea why Brother came to trouble me!" Li Ming’s voice came, secretly astounded, fortunate not to have acted rashly.

The Torch Organization’s application of Dimensional Creatures far exceeded expectations.

Connet clearly had the support of some sort of Dimensional Creature to have his current strength; it was unknown if he had surpassed Level ’A’ Life Forms.

Sandro swallowed nervously, hiding himself behind Theo.

"What exactly is going on!" Connet asked in a cold voice.

With Dejes’s help, Brother stood up, his complexion ugly: "Sandro sold me a batch of metal materials, which turned out to be problematic, claiming to have been tested by the Azure Dragon."

"But it was just a batch of polished scrap metal, appearing normal only due to fine processing," Dejes added.

"Hmm?" Connet was momentarily stunned, so it was this matter.

Not long ago, he had temporarily connected to the Black Hole Network for a deal between Brother and Sandro, with the entire process under his supervision.

Ulrich couldn’t believe it: Was it that batch of metal materials?

Sandro had suddenly wanted to buy the metal materials he had for two billion Star Coins; the price was still acceptable, so he simply handed them over to Sandro.

"Bullshit!" Sandro shouted loudly, "Lord Connet was the witness; there was nothing wrong with that batch, the problems started once it reached your hands. I highly suspect that Dejes is the one playing tricks."

Then Li Ming spoke up, "Whatever their trade involved, it has nothing to do with me, and I don’t see why it should involve me."

"Hmph, with such sophisticated forgery techniques, who else but you could it be?" Dejes countered immediately, "I’ll bring the metal materials right now, any other Mechanic could tell at a glance."

He turned and headed towards the ruins, the Purple Giant dissipated, and the threatening aura vanished, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief.

Connet’s brow was furrowed; he had thought it was some greater conflict of interest, but it turned out to be over those metal materials?

His gaze swept over the two Mechanical Bodies beside the Azure Dragon; he had watched part of the battle, equally surprised by the two Mechanical Bodies’ extraordinary combat abilities.

And this further proved the Azure Dragon’s extraordinariness and strength.

Soon after, Dejes had found and brought back the materials, and everyone crowded around to see.

Benny and Jesaya each took a piece and looked at it closely. Afterwards, they exchanged a puzzled look, and Benny was the first to speak:

"Des is right, the falsification technique is indeed incredibly skillful."

Jesaya added, "But this can’t prove that it was like this when Brother bought it."

Des sneered, "Here, what technical means do I have to process it?"

"They said the material was obtained from Bryrim, could it be that Bryrim was duped from the very beginning? Anyone involved in the Red River Star Stream, if they lacked even this level of discernment, would have been wiped out long ago."

"Lord Connet, we are completely innocent in this matter, there must be an explanation!"

Jesaya shook his head, "It’s hard to say, the properties of metal materials could possibly change without precise instruments."

Just because of this, they deserve an explanation?

Li Ming frowned slightly, looking towards Des, and, combining what he had observed about Des before, he suddenly realized that Des wasn’t looking for trouble with him without reason.

This guy was clearly testing Connet’s attitude, which might determine whether he would cooperate with Asimara or not.

His gaze flickered as he said, "You mean to say, my partnership with Sandro is just to scam you for a few billion Star Coins?"

This obviously wasn’t likely, Connet frowned and swept his gaze over the Azure Dragon, pondering various thoughts, and then shook his head:

"I’m not a judge, nor a public notary, I don’t manage your transactions, everyone knows what you came here for, we should work together towards that goal."

"After the goal is completed, you can do whatever you want, but before that, I hope, no more trouble arises!"

Connet was clearly trying to smooth things over, or in other words, his decision to not handle this matter was a form of bias.

Des’s expression darkened, if Connet had this attitude over a small matter, there was no need to mention the possibility of a bigger conflict with the Azure Dragon.

Brother was breathing heavily, "At the very least, let Sandro refund me the money,"

"This..." Sandro’s eyes flickered with hesitation, still insisting, "Bullshit, you lot are the saboteurs, I gave you good material, and it turned out bad."

If he gives in now, wouldn’t he be confirming Des’s accusations? He would rather die than yield.

Theo pondered to himself, there was something odd about this whole situation.

He still held the last batch of materials, and if someone brought that batch over, it would confirm the truth of what Des said.

But he had no obligation to help Des.

"I’ll have someone repair this area as soon as possible, for now, I’m afraid I’ll have to inconvenience everyone for a while."

Connet couldn’t be bothered to say more, nor did he intend to arrange for them to stay in another area, but instead, directly called in several ships, which temporarily served as their residences, still within the Purple Energy Barrier.

The area was desolate, the foundations destroyed, with metal debris everywhere, workers from the Torch Organization were promptly clearing the site.

Due to the appearance of the Purple Giant, everyone had their own thoughts, there were multiple exchanges of eye contact, but no one spoke. Instead, they chose to return and digest the information from this battle.

Li Ming entered his own ship and activated the Intelligent Assistance to check for any surveillance or other detection devices inside the ship.

Meanwhile, the image of the Purple Giant kept appearing in his mind, the Torch Organization indeed had the power to suppress people like them.

He wasn’t too surprised; after all, it was a base operated by the Torch Organization for such a long time. If it didn’t have the power to suppress Level A Life Forms, that would be surprising.

What really surprised him was that another overt Level A Life Form in the Torch Organization hadn’t even shown up, and with just Connet alone, they were already left breathless.

"Torch Organization has such level of power, why hasn’t it shown this to the outside world before, or maybe there are restrictions on this power..."

"With this in mind, I have to be more cautious. For now, Connet doesn’t suspect me, and there’s even a great bias in my favor, which is good," Li Ming considered, "But Des, I’m afraid he might be about to betray..."
