This is really not mechanical ascension

Chapter 441: Chapter 234 Speculation about Dimensional Gods and Li Ming_2

As they approached the main base, Li Ming could already see numerous metal fortresses on some large asteroids, and glancing at the smart terminal, it was indeed blocked.

The base was located on a small asteroid, built using high-strength interstellar alloy as its framework.

From above, it looked like a hemisphere with a polygonal dome, fixed on a central platform, with eight metal arms connecting it to other facilities of the base.

Blue sign lights outlined several landing platforms around the laboratory, and these lights flickered as engineering drones constantly moved back and forth on the platforms.

This base was clearly in a busy state of operation.

"Is this the headquarters of the Torch Organization?" Ulrich was quite surprised on the warship’s deck, "Location disabled, using space wormhole jumps to arrive, even the ship’s voyage log probably can’t find any clues, it’s really well hidden."

Li Ming came up from the hatch and entered the deck, and what caught his eyes was a huge metal structural component overhead.

Connected directly to the central laboratory with two parallel supports, numerous engineering mechanical bodies operated on the tracks surrounding it.

On the platform, one could see the vague outlines of semi-finished products that appeared to be some sort of metal structural components, building at a very fast speed, with thick pipes connected to a melting pool, from which hot molten iron flowed out.

"It seems like standard components..." Li Ming recognized them, "Fernandez heavy engineering machinery assembly line, enough to support most structural components of a light warship, only the main engine and firepower systems need to be purchased separately."

"But this assembly line, it isn’t sold to the public, right?"

"Hehe..." Ulrich shook his head.

And Sandro, who also looked up, felt something amiss and turned his head back, suddenly getting a fright.

"What is this thing?"

Only then did Theo and Ulrich notice, following Li Ming were two figures, one large and one small.

"Combat mechanisms? Two of them?" Ulrich felt a tinge of tension, subconsciously recalling the Silver Level A mechanical bodies he had seen before.

But the next moment, he vaguely felt that these two mechanical bodies looked somewhat familiar.

"F**k... two Level A mechanical bodies?" Sandro realized after a moment, feeling even more terrified and retreating repeatedly.

He had already experienced Lord Azure Dragon firing two cannons instead of one and was more afraid that these were two Level A mechanical bodies, which would be too horrifying.

"No, wait..." But he quickly came to his senses, suspiciously went up and pinched, leaving a small dent on the external armor of Taipo.

Taipo, like an artificial dimwit, had no reaction.

"Are these not Level A mechanical bodies?" Realizing they were not Level A mechanical bodies, Sandro relaxed considerably and looked at Li Ming, "Is this what you bought from the Black Hole Network?"

Sandro couldn’t help but ridicule himself, having been scared by the mechanic before.

Level A mechanical bodies aren’t common items; how could they casually bring out two of them?

Ulrich looked up and down, inquiring tentatively, "These two combat mechanisms, which two were they modified from?"

"Collector Lord still remembers, huh." Li Ming nodded, casually remarking, "The previous two broke, bought some materials, and in the last few days, I sculpted them out according to the drawings."

"Sculpted..." Ulrich shook his head, since they weren’t Level A mechanical bodies, there was no need to fuss over it.

However, the utility of such level mechanical bodies was limited, and he didn’t understand why Lord Azure Dragon always liked to make these things.

It was the same when they were in Land of Stars before.

Meanwhile, Theo had already turned around, looking at the main base that was continuously approaching.

"What’s the use of making these combat mechanisms? A few punches and they’ll be reduced to scrap iron." Sandro knocked on the large-sized Taipo, indifferent as he spoke.

"For amusement." Li Ming smiled, "Ulrich Lord should understand."

This remark made Ulrich recall some unpleasant memories, his face suddenly darkening.

Li Ming, however, had not stowed away the two Mechanical Guards primarily because within the Torch Organization, surveillance was surely pervasive.

In case of an unexpected incident, hastily deploying these two Guards would be even more difficult to explain, it’s better to have them openly accompany from the beginning.

Soon, their warship docked at the end of a metallic arm extending from the main base, where there was a docking port.

Standing on the deck, Li Ming could clearly see that this metal arm was actually a giant alloy structure, both wide and high up to a hundred meters.

Inside it was a sealed passage leading directly to the laboratory, equipped with comfortable artificial gravity; the doors automatically aligned with the internal metal corridors upon opening.

There were already people waiting for them, the leader was an unremarkable-looking human with greying hair, appearing resolute, yet his face bore few signs of aging, with deep creases beside his nostrils.

"Torch Organization leader, Connet," Ulrich murmured softly.

"Welcome, everyone," Connet’s attitude was amiable, followed by many staff members of the Torch Organization.

There wasn’t an excessively grand welcome ceremony since the Torch Organization was a resistance organization characterized predominantly by a somber tone.

"Lord Azure Dragon..." Connet approached, Li Ming nodded in greeting, then went on to greet each person in turn. After all, they were all Level A life forms, all worthy of respect.

Connet’s gaze swept over the two Mechanical Bodies behind Li Ming, one large and one small, but he didn’t comment, only instructing people to help unload the luggage from the warship.

Sandro made no attempt to be polite, "That box in my room, make sure you take good care of it, it’s filled with valuable metal materials. If anything happens to it, don’t blame me for being unforgiving."

Connet, his expression calm, replied, "Rest assured, your excellency."

Following Connet into the depths of the Torch Organization, Theo and three others seemed like mere accessories, with only Li Ming and Connet walking at the front.

"Lord Azure Dragon, after many invitations, you’ve finally arrived here, it’s been a journey filled with complications," Connet remarked.

Inside the Torch Organization, there was no hint of disorder; whether it was soldiers in combat armor on patrol or staff in special research attire, everyone seemed purposeful.

Upon seeing Connet, they would stop to greet him, with respect rather than fear.

"I too have long admired the Torch Organization, but have been hindered by mishaps," Li Ming replied in agreement.

Strictly speaking, they were definitely not friends, but now, for certain objectives, they could put aside past conflicts as if they had never occurred.

Connet shook his head with a wry smile, then said solemnly, "However, I must explain something to your excellency. There were some misunderstandings before; your student was pursued by us for some time due to certain issues."

"You’re referring to Li Ming," Li Ming regained his composed expression and shook his head, "I know, you also lost quite a few men. Now that we are friends, let’s not bring up the past."

Connet’s expression softened, "That would be best."

From behind, Sandro asked in confusion, "The Torch Organization also went after that Li Ming?"

"What exactly is filling that stupid head of yours? You deal with Azure Dragon every day, even if you can’t find those unobtainable records, haven’t you even taken the time to understand obtainable ones?"

Ulrich scornfully despised Sandro, while simultaneously raising his hand to release a small gravity field covering the trio, restraining sound transmission.

Sandro looked annoyed, "That Li Ming isn’t some important figure, there’s so much happening every day, how do I have time to look into these matters?"

"Not an important figure?" Ulrich sneered even more, "If the Torch Organization’s plan had succeeded, sacrificing Li Ming to summon the Dimensional Creature Superpower Istanbul, to successfully tear apart Jingnan Star, the Silver Star Cluster would already be embroiled in war."

"Tear apart a planet? Does Torch have that capability?" Sandro was astonished, then disdainfully said, "Back then Azure Dragon was still at his peak, using his student as a sacrifice, it’d be strange if the Torch Organization’s plan had succeeded."

Ulrich paused, that was indeed true.
