Chapter 428: Chapter 228 The Impact of the Explosion The Confused Ulrich
Theo pondered and did not immediately agree but instead asked, "Why kill him?"
He followed Azure Dragon because the person behind him requested it, aiming for the Casablanca Flower the other party provided, but he did not wish to become the other party’s hitman or offer any benefits.
"He’s freeloading off me," Li Ming replied more bluntly.
"That simple? Just to vent?"
"You can think of it that way." Facing Theo’s scrutinizing gaze, Li Ming spoke frankly.
"Bryrim is quite powerful, and his fleet has a formidable reputation. It’s not certain we can kill him," Theo hinted.
Sandro grew impatient, "Boss, if the few of us join hands, we can easily trap him to death."
Theo glanced over coldly, and Sandro shrank his head, not quite liking the feeling of being led by the nose.
But the problem is, once Li Ming makes a move, he couldn’t possibly remain truly uninvolved.
That’s the trouble with being coerced; he felt somewhat headache-ridden.
If it weren’t for being strung along by the Casablanca Flower, he would have quit a long time ago. Azure Dragon has too many secrets and troubles.
An S-level Life Form, oh how Theo yearned for it at all times.
Theo sighed. He had to agree even if he didn’t want to, but then asked, "What about that silver Combat Mechanism under your command? Didn’t you bring it with you when you evacuated?"
Li Ming shrugged his shoulders, "Who knows, perhaps he’s already become a staff member."
Theo didn’t like this feeling of everything being unpredictable at all, and said faintly, "I understand, however, we need to first arrange our visit to the Starship Ruins..."
"Don’t worry, I have already informed Bryrim, saying there are some things that need to be sent over."
"Ha..." Sandro rubbed his hands together, looking very excited.
Theo was expressionless. The other party had clearly arranged everything, confident that he would agree, or rather, that he had to agree.
After ending the communication, Li Ming pondered in secret.
"It’s been a month or two since Seraad’s theft, even if Theo finds help from the Torch Group, it would be hard to track down the other side."
"Is he going to the Torch Organization for reasons other than this incident? Maybe because of the Ascender Relics?"
He had pondered more than once that this reason might hold water for Ulrich or Sandro, but it always seemed lacking when it came to Theo.
His eyes flickered, "The old guy following me must have other motives, those from the Star Abyss Empire behind him..."
As he was mulling over, someone knocked on the door. Through the old-style video terminal on the wall, he found it was Ulrich, whom Li Ming had been planning to look for as well.
Opening the door, Ulrich had an odd look in his eyes, and upon entering, he blurted out, "The castle... it’s been blown up."
"Blown up?" Li Ming’s eyebrows raised, watching as Ulrich turned on the smart terminal and played a video. The picture was shaky and quite blurry.
It was only a half-shot, starting with the rising mushroom cloud and the cracked land of the Floating Island, with gusts of wind periodically overwhelming the recorder, seemingly knocking them to the ground.
A few phrases of interstellar colloquialisms can be heard, seemingly swearing.
"The power is so strong?" Li Ming was surprised, looking up at Ulrich, "Half of Trading Island was blown up?"
It seemed that part of it was still intact, but in reality, with such damage, the ecological environment was beyond repair—one of the largest Floating Islands in Land of Stars, just destroyed like this.
"Been buying bombs continuously, and some confiscated bombs had nowhere to be stored—I buried them in too. I’ve reached the point of giving up on the castle, what do I care how strong the destruction is?" Ulrich’s reasoning was simple and crude, with an undertone of excitement.
Then he brought up another image, this one already post-explosion. Trading Island was broken into pieces, barely held together by the fragile gravity system, but still drifting apart in every direction.
Additionally, due to the rupture of the Ecological Shield, the gravitational wind continuously ravaged the broken Floating Island, which had stabilized the footage somewhat.
Halfway through the play, Ulrich paused and zoomed in on the bottom right of the screen.
It was precisely the ruins of the steel castle after the explosion, with two vague figures flying out of it at high speed. Even with software enhancement, only blurry afterimages could be discerned, without any way to identify who they were.
"Only two people flew out, one of them should be Asimara. We don’t know how many people they brought inside, but they probably all got blown up," Ulrich said with an obvious smile on his face.
"If nothing unexpected happened, the other person should be Prince Bai Jiang."
"They are both A-level life forms..." Li Ming couldn’t help feeling emotional.
Although the explosive power was terrifying, it wasn’t a targeted killing. It’s quite normal for A-level life forms to escape.
"This time, they’re in quite a mess," Ulrich gloated, not their first encounter with the Yitelan Civilization, with plenty of grudges.
Li Ming wondered to himself if Gabriel was blown up, glancing at the schadenfreude-filled Ulrich.
If this guy knew that one of the people who came was the son of Duke Bloodthorn from the Star Abyss Empire, who knows how scared he would be.
Blowing up people from the Yitelan Civilization and blowing up people from the Star Origin Empire were not at the same level of impact.
"Oh, right..." Li Ming interrupted, "I just discussed with Theo and Sandro, we’ve decided to make a move on Bryrim, just giving you a heads-up."
Upon hearing this, Ulrich put away the smart terminal without any sign of surprise, "I knew it, that guy is too greedy."
"With Theo making a move, there should be no big problem. Inside the Starship Ruins, he can’t use his Warship, having his strength greatly reduced."
