Chapter 391: Chapter 209: The Domineering Mechanic and the Power of the Azure Dragon!_2

Boom! The vermilion gold fist collided fiercely with the metallic iron fist, unleashing a fierce energy shockwave that rapidly spread outwards!

The Mecha flipped through the air, crashing back to the ground.

"It’s a pity I can’t use [Thunderstorm Fervor] while in Materialization, otherwise with the current data enhancements, combined they could be converted to eighty-two times Thunder Element enhancement," Li Ming lamented to himself.

Below, Sandro snorted coldly, flames wrapped around his body, thick as if about to liquefy, his skin bulging and forming crimson Armor, seemingly some kind of Liberation Form.

"I can’t sustain a prolonged battle; my current condition won’t last much longer." Li Ming frowned.

Under the gaze of all, the black and gold Mecha extended its right hand, its cape billowing behind it, surrounded by a swirl of various Elements.

A huge amount of silver nano-particles flowed from his hands, gathering at his side to form a thick silver cannon barrel.

"What is this?" Theo wondered, then his pupils contracted.

A surge of light, bubbling like a liquid, pulsed from the center of the barrel. Within this light, energy ribbons burst forth like fireworks, instantly forming dozens of solid rings.

The Energy Light Column blasted from the barrel’s mouth, covering the spot where Sandro stood in less than an instant.

The proximity was too close for Sandro’s genetic form to fully liberate, leaving him no time for more reactions, only squinting instinctively.

Boom!

The spread of the Energy Light Column was constant, the crimson rings of light fiercely expanding from the point of attack, leaving behind swaths of bubbling metallic magma in its wake.

It then formed a small energy aggregation that didn’t explode immediately but instead created an arched Energy Shield.

Many Raiders were stunned, then their eyes filled with terror.

Until the last trace of brilliance fell.

Boom!

An even more intense wind blasted everything away, the entire castle shook, with the upper floors completely blown away, ripples spreading in circles.

But in the end, it was contained within a certain range, Ulrich intervened, together with Theo, the energy was suppressed.

This also meant that the chain explosions within this range were even more terrifying, dazzling like a sun.

After a while, the explosion subsided entirely, the center crater sunk deeper and steeper towards the bottom.

Some areas were scorched by High Temperatures into crystals, emitting incandescent light, with metallic magma flowing down the slope, gradually cooling.

In the middle of the ground, Sandro lay there, gasping heavily, most of his body charred and emitting smoke.

However, the surface wounds healed rapidly, with shards of the half-Liberated Armor broken apart.

Silence pervaded the area, with hardly any sound.

Ulrich was uncertainly astonished; the Nano Armor was still intact, and though its hardness was unexpected, it aligned with their predictions of the Azure Dragon, after all, a significant Mechanic.

But the sudden blast of the Energy Cannon was too shocking, how could such terrifying energy be launched in such a short time without any accumulation?

Its power could rival that of a mainstream warship’s particle cannons, not just the usual Energy Beams found on regular warships.

"It’s a pity..." Li Ming shook his head, his indifferent voice spread across the field, "If most of the stuff on me hadn’t been smashed, you’d already be dead."

Everyone stared blankly at the black and gold Mecha; although they couldn’t see its master’s face, his tone allowed them to imagine the dismissive eyes, eyes that looked down on everything.

Theo’s face was tense, which meant what the other party said was very likely true.

Without anyone else causing trouble, with such strength, why not just grab the stuff and run away? Why stay here?

The Mecha descended, then roiled into silver liquid, finally retracting into the Star Ring on his arm, his body staggering, almost collapsing.

Injured like this, yet he almost killed Sandro?

Many Raiders swallowed nervously, that was too fierce.

Their horizons were not wide, and they subconsciously assumed Sandro was utterly defeated.

It was only then Cassis finally came back to his senses and quietly said, "Father, that attack that came from underground must be the same as this one, but it was dissipated by the Energy Shield, not unleashing such great power."

Ulrich slowly nodded.

At this moment, Sandro climbed out of the deep pit; his injuries weren’t that severe, not even considered seriously wounded.

But as he gazed upon Li Ming’s seemingly defenseless back, a wave of trepidation surged in his heart.

Could what this guy said be true?

He had never seen a mechanic like this—a mere B-class life form, yet with incredibly formidable combat methods.

"Did Your Excellency come here specifically for the Material Reorganization Fabricator?" Ulrich stepped forward, with a recovery potion floating before him.

Li Ming took it but did not drink, simply placing it aside and remained nonchalant, "Yes, I’m here for that very thing."

In fact, he was indeed stymied here. Cassis’s response was very good; after the energy shield was activated, even the main cannon couldn’t break through.

Since he couldn’t leave, he might as well stay and continue absorbing metal energy until Ulrich and the other two arrived.

Of course, staying wasn’t without benefits, which Li Ming had considered.

To upgrade to an A-level Controlled Object requires a Dimension Crystal, of which he had only three, and the only organization he could currently reach was Torch.

Direct dealings with them were troublesome; it would be better to go through Ulrich and the others.

But he couldn’t use the same approach of showing weakness as before; this time the stakes were too high, and Ulrich’s losses were too severe.

Showing further weakness would be the real folly; he must make the other party wary, too apprehensive to act.

That’s why he spun the tale that he did—that A-class life form wasn’t entirely baseless; it was bits and pieces picked up from what Saber had mentioned.

With the disappearance of the vault, whatever wasn’t turned into metal energy was placed somewhere unknown, in a Controlled Items page only he knew about.

Adding to that his own demonstrated strength, Ulrich, even with doubts, would only be able to suppress them for now.

"Your Excellency’s mind truly is brilliant," Ulrich remarked. "To show me such respect for so long."

"You should feel fortunate," Li Ming said casually.

Ulrich, however, did not get angry but merely chuckled, "Huh."

"What a pity..." Li Ming sighed and then snorted coldly, "That damned guy, let me not find him."

"Do you have any idea who that guy might be? Since he was also after this thing, you must have some clue," said Li Ming, quite impolitely.

Ulrich hesitated, then whispered: "He seems to be from the Star Abyss Empire."

"The Star Abyss Empire?" Li Ming feigned surprise, his expression shifting, and then said solemnly, "Even the Star Abyss Empire won’t do!"

Ulrich felt a strange sensation in his heart; although he suffered the most significant losses,

the great mechanic had carefully lurked under him for so long, and in the end, came up empty-handed. Invisibly, this eased the rage in his heart.

"He is from the Star Abyss Empire, and it seems you haven’t really fought him," Ulrich reminded.

"This time it was due to my lack of preparation," Li Ming glanced at him, "I only brought a single mecha; the methods and range were limited."

"If it were me ambushing him, he wouldn’t have had the chance to even see me."

His words concealed extraordinary confidence.

A single mecha? More mechas? Or a mechanical army?

Ulrich latched onto more information and remembered Huo Tan once reporting those seemingly low-end mechanical bodies—protected by extremely potent ghost programs—which only increased his apprehension.

"Where do you plan to look for him?" Ulrich inquired.

"In the information state," Li Ming seemed to have his plan ready. "He was wounded by me; I have a drop of his blood, I’ll go find Torch and let them use dimensional creatures to track."

"You wounded him?" Ulrich was surprised, frowning, "The destruction of the environment below doesn’t seem that severe."

"Fighting for less than a minute, how severe could it be," Li Ming shook his head.

"If it weren’t for..." he stopped mid-sentence, shook his head in resignation, and finally spoke coldly, "Star Abyss Empire, I really want to see who dares to steal my things."

Ulrich looked at his fiercely murderous demeanor, feeling a shiver in his own heart.

This great mechanic seemed to have a streak of craziness in his bones, perhaps even angrier than himself.

Considering the use of that thing, he, too, somewhat understood; no mechanic could resist its temptation.
