Chapter 351: Chapter 189 [Casablanca Flower] Scapegoat_2

"Aren’t you supposed to protect him, so why did you sneak in?" Mogaro simply didn’t believe it,

"I just felt that you definitely wouldn’t let things go so easily, which was indeed a hidden danger. You were right." Li Ming had already obtained the highest authority of this spaceship and pulled out the video of their designated Sudden Attack plan.

Mogaro gritted his teeth, "Our target was only Kay, and we didn’t cause you any harm."

"Should I be thanking you then?" Li Ming said with a light laugh.

Mogaro was silent.

"Rest assured, no one knows it was me who acted, you still have a chance to make an offer," Li Ming soothed him.

Mogaro’s lips curved into a bitter smile, the blade flashed, and his head was chopped into pieces.

Li Ming looked around and began to clear the area.

Due to the prior commotion, the spaceship of Judge Civilization had been surrounded by Night Eye mercenaries, but they were still waiting for the leader.

Removing his armor and using "Space Blink" effortlessly, he easily left the encirclement.

With the help of Guard Taipo’s jetters, he returned to the Floating Island from the edge.

Several hours later, Riley hurriedly arrived after receiving the message.

"Boss, there’s no movement inside, I don’t know what’s going on," his subordinate reported, and Riley’s eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the spaceship in front of him.

"Are you sure you heard clanging noises?" he asked.

"Sure!" Many subordinates echoed, Riley hesitated for a moment, and with the help of a ladder, he came to the hatch and struck it forcefully.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

For several minutes, the noise continued, but there was no response from the cabin, neither a warning nor communication.

Riley’s mind swirled with doubts, he turned on the video, and loudly said, "If you don’t respond soon, I’ll try to enter!"

"I’m really going in!"

"I’ve broken open the hatch!"

Riley shouted loudly, proving he wasn’t entering rashly.

However, no sooner had the hatch opened a crack than a faint smell of blood rushed toward him, and Riley’s face changed abruptly, and he stopped the action.

Soon after, the Collector arrived, and the area had already been put under martial law. His eyebrows were tightly furrowed as he looked at the gap in the hatch, his gaze ice-cold.

Riley stiffened, and in a low voice he said, "Your Excellency, I smelled blood and dared not continue to open the door."

"What exactly is going on?" the Collector demanded.

"I was just acting on the report from my subordinates that this spaceship was behaving abnormally, so I..." Riley carefully explained.

Ulrich snorted coldly, hesitated for a moment, lifted his finger, and the hatch was torn apart, and he floated in.

Riley clenched his teeth and immediately followed.

On the way, he saw the hole that had penetrated a dozen metal walls, and he couldn’t help but feel a shock.

And the smell of blood grew thicker, until he stepped into the cockpit. His heart tightened as he saw many golden-eyed people lying twisted and entangled on the ground.

A thin layer of fresh blood covered the entire floor.

A chill rushed to his forehead, and the only thought in Riley’s mind was, it’s over!

Ulrich’s face turned livid, an invisible force pulled Riley up from the ground, a terrifying aura unleashed, causing the blood on the floor to ripple.

"Tell me, what exactly happened here!!"

The mass slaughter of the golden-eyed people meant that Judge Civilization would not let it go, and they would definitely demand an explanation from him.

Although it wasn’t possible with life for life, this disaster had come out of nowhere.

Riley felt as if his body was about to burst under pressure, his heart barely able to beat as if it would shatter at any moment.

"Collector... Sir," Riley, veins bulging on his face, spoke with difficulty.

Ulrich calmed down slightly and threw Riley against the wall.

Riley gasped for air and explained, "This matter has nothing to do with us, we confronted them yesterday but it couldn’t have been us who killed them."

Ulrich frowned, he believed that, but that also meant the trouble was greater.

This Trading Island, despite having surveillance, essentially has it as a mere showpiece; there are too many blind spots, and even more damage.

It’s impossible to start an investigation.

"I suspect it’s inseparable from Seraad," Riley further stated.

Ulrich took a deep breath, raised his hand, and the bodies on the ground silently started floating, blood dripping.

"Apart from those chunks of flesh, all the remaining bodies show no signs of injury. They weren’t killed in a fight," Ulrich frowned.

"Eternal Sleep," Riley hurriedly added, "It’s Seraad. We’ve lost quite a few brothers to this."

"But it seems like the entire ship’s crew had gathered here. Why?" Ulrich questioned, and Riley was also unsure.

The Collector’s voice was cold as ice, "Temporarily seal off this information, figure out what exactly happened!"

"Yes!" Riley quickly agreed, overwhelmed, as the things they’d lost hadn’t been found yet, and now there was this mess.

"Have Theo come here. This all started because of him; let him explain it to the Judger Civilization!" Ulrich demanded again.

Riley hesitated, head bowed, "You should talk to him about this."

An invisible force swept over, and Riley felt his body uncontrollably lift off the ground and slam against the wall, his spine in severe pain. Yet, he felt a sense of relief.

The blockade of the port drew plenty of attention. Many raiders were curious, but after Riley decisively killed a few, no one dared to investigate further.

Li Ming had changed several rounds of guards on this Floating Island as they seemed to be summoned for questioning. Online, various speculations were rampant.

"I remember the location of that port; it seemed to have a ship belonging to the Judger Civilization docked there, and I heard everyone on board died!" Rumors were spreading from some unknown places.

"Died out? Really?" Many people were astonished, "Those one-eyed folks are so dominant, who would dare kill them? How fierce!"

"Heard it’s related to the item lost by Night Eye. Whoever did it was a professional; even yanked the spaceship’s hard drive. Nothing could be found."

"This time, the Collector is in big trouble, tsk tsk..." someone gloated.

...

In an unknown place, Jesaya’s brow was tightly knit as a multitude of data streams refreshed like a waterfall in his mechanical pupils.

The room was enclosed by silver-white walls, empty except for the central table, aside from Jesaya, there were two other life forms.

One was hunched over with four arms and pale yellow skin, shorter than a meter, with numerous blueprints and data displayed on a virtual screen before him.

The other was pacing, looking quite agitated, with purple-red antennae on the top of his head and a bulky, solid build: "Not enough, not enough!"

He suddenly shouted loudly, "Even three great Mechanics can’t figure this out, it’s too complex, involving many areas with loads of technologies we’ve never even heard of.

"We need at least three more, no, four!"

"Did you hear that, damn fools of the Torch!" he bellowed.

The room flashed with light as the Torch Leader, dressed in a black robe, appeared, "Des, can’t you be a little patient?"

Des’s complexion changed, his voice somewhat subdued, "It’s not about patience. But the thing you want us to make can’t be made no matter how patient we are."

"True," the elder on the other side nodded, "It’s too complex. Even with the existing technology right in front of us, we still can’t make it."

"We still need at least three more great Mechanics."

The Torch Leader’s face looked slightly troubled.

Jesaya’s mechanical eyes moved slightly as he chimed in, "It involves some technology from the Ascender, which we can’t decipher,"

The Torch Leader shook his head, "There aren’t many great Mechanics in the nearby star clusters who are willing to interact with us, and even fewer who are willing to take the risk to come here."

"How likely is it to find another three to make it happen?"

Jesaya’s eyes flickered slightly, "Perhaps we don’t need three; one might be enough."

"One?" Des scoffed, "Jesaya, have you short-circuited or something?"

Jesaya ignored him, "One highly skilled great Mechanic."

Des shook his head even more, "Would such a Mechanic be willing to engage with the Torch? Would they take the risk to come here?"

But the Torch Leader fell silent, then solemnly said, "Are you suggesting the great Mechanic -- Azure Dragon?"

"Indeed."

"Who?" Des looked puzzled, "Who’s this new great Mechanic? I haven’t heard of him."
